Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for a national revival of critical thinking and literacy, warning that ignorance remains the root cause of prejudice and division in society, not diversity.
Launching Financial Literacy Month (FLM) 2025 and the National Strategy for Financial Literacy 2026-2030 (NS2.0) on Friday (Oct 3), Anwar warned that the global tendency to pass judgment without understanding is a growing threat. He called on Malaysians to tackle this challenge by nurturing a more discerning and informed mindset from an early age. Anwar also emphasised the need to strengthen financial literacy to keep pace with an increasingly digital and complex economy, saying it is an essential part of building a more resilient and knowledgeable society.
