00:00Hello everyone, how's it going? I'm outside the Newcastle United's media centre where we've been
00:04speaking to Eddie Howe who had a big beaming smile as wide as the tain on his face this morning.
00:09Who wouldn't be after that Champions League win in midweek? But it's all about brushing that to
00:14the side and getting the business done against Forrest. It's been a rocky start for Newcastle,
00:18been a rocky couple of weeks for Nottingham Forrest as well. Andrew Postacoglu losing last
00:23night in Europe. Yet to win since replacing Nuno Espirito Santo and Newcastle United is home to
00:29Nottingham Forrest right now should be a must win fixture. I think I'm headed to that international
00:34break full of beans and get the season up and running. On a positive note, now you're now at
00:40Newcastle World by now, we're late to keep it optimistic, we're always looking for the upside,
00:44glass half full, kind of guys that we are and Eddie Howe confirmed in the press room there that
00:49Jacob Ramsey could be available this weekend and in the matchday squad and that would be a boost. I
00:55mean, the midfield at Newcastle is probably, at least in my opinion anyway, some of you might
00:59agree, Newcastle's strongest area with Tenali, Joe Linton, Bruno, Willink and Reserve.
01:05Adding Ramsey to the mix there, young Lewis Mayley as well, that would be a major boost for
01:10Newcastle. I'm excited to see what he can do, he's got a good engine on him, he's technically a good
01:15player, he can play on the left as well. Haven't seen much of him, obviously got injured at Leeds last
01:20month. That's a major boost for Newcastle, there's no denying that. If you can get him,
01:25get some minutes in his legs going into that international break, in a full international
01:28break, training with Newcastle under his belt, that can only be a positive going forward.
01:33There was also a little bit of a selection hint, I thought, he might have went under the
01:36radar for his watching the press conference back home. Eddie Howe suggested Lewis Hall is
01:41still monitoring his minutes, he's still coming back to full fitness after the ankle injury
01:45that he suffered last season. That's became a little bit of a debate in recent weeks, hasn't it?
01:50Especially with Sven Botman back in the mix as well. Do you play Dan Byrne or Botman?
01:54Do you play them together in the back three? It's caused Eddie Howe a little bit of a headache,
01:58but I took his words today in the press conference that Dan Byrne's probably going to keep his
02:03position at left back. As is usually the case these days, ahead of a game against Nottingham
02:08for us, Elliot Anderson was a hot topic. There were quite a few people in the press room
02:12who were pushing Eddie Howe on Elliot Anderson. He once again said, which is to no one's
02:18surprise, it doesn't sit right with him that Newcastle United were forced to sell arguably
02:23the club's best player, academy player, pardon, for a generation now. Who else has came through
02:29since then? You've got young Lewis Maley. Before him it was Sean Longstaff, before him
02:33it was Paul Dummett, Andy Carroll before that. You can easily say that Elliot Anderson is the
02:38greatest sport to produce from Newcastle United's academy and they had to sell them due to PSR
02:43reasons, despite the vast amount of wealth that the club's owners have. I mean, Eddie Howe
02:50touched on it, he said, it's a shame that the rules sort of dictate, you're incentivised
02:56to sell academy players. And Newcastle United have put time and effort into Elliot Anderson
03:02from being a young kid. Elliot Anderson is obviously a lifelong Newcastle United fan,
03:07black and white of a core. And for Newcastle United to sell him, he's now starring for Nottingham
03:12Forest. He's doing amazing, playing for England, in the England squad once again today. Yeah,
03:17it's a real shame that Newcastle had to let him go. Everyone at Newcastle has always wished
03:21Elliot Anderson well in a Forest shirt. I doubt that's going to be the case on Sunday. So that
03:26was the key juices really from this morning's press conference. There was another couple of side
03:30notes. Can you believe it's been four years this Tuesday since the takeover? That is mental.
03:36The time flies when you're having fun, winning trophies in the Champions League. I cheekily
03:41asked Eddie Howe to take a look at his crystal ball and predict the next four years at Newcastle
03:46United. You know, stage of talk and trading ground and further investment. He didn't take
03:50the bait. But I got a little laugh out of him. He was also asked about Nick Walter Morda. He
03:55seems very impressed with the German start of life at Newcastle United. And that was about
04:00it really, ahead of a big game or promises to be a big game and one that I mentioned
04:04earlier that Newcastle United simply have to win. They get this win under the belt, start
04:10moving up the table, they're winning the Champions League, they're winning the Premier League.
04:14Going into that international break will give everyone a massive, massive boost. Take care
04:19for now, everyone.
