00:00Greggs and Fenwick have opened the doors to their new collaboration, a pub called the
00:04Golden Flake Tavern. A full range of Greggs-inspired meals were on offer, including a sausage roll
00:08with mash as well as special drink options.
00:10I think it's been an accumulation of work for the last number of months. As soon as
00:15the champagne bar closed last year, we were immediately considering what does it look like
00:21for next year, how do we come back bigger, better. And we created the first ever Greggs
00:29and Fenwick to pub. So for me, it's a huge part of our calendar now, really. Huge excited.
00:35I'm really proud of what everyone's achieved in terms of bringing this together across
00:39Greggs and across Fenwick. I think more than anything, it's the authenticity of the place
00:45that we've created. So it feels like you are in the pub. So yeah, for me, really, really
00:52excited, really pleased and excited about what's to come all of these next few months.
00:56I think it started out as, you know, as a piece of space, and then the creative elements
01:03come in. And we had to consider all of those authentic elements. You know, what makes a pub
01:07a pub? So that could be the leather chest of people. It's definitely got to be about the
01:11centre point of the bar. And from that, you end up building and building, and then the creative
01:16elements come in, and then they layer on top. And some things, you know, some things make the cut,
01:21so that things don't. But for us, critically, it's about the authenticity of it, whether that's
01:26from the, you know, the jukebox, the coasters, the beer mats, all of those things. And the exciting
01:33things we need. And this is unlike anything else we've done with Greggs. We also then took that
01:38further the chip into some real special items, so the payloads, in conjunction with the full
01:45circuit. So seeing some of that product brought to life in a different guise through a Scotty Ale,
01:53or a Pink Jammie Ale, for me, is just really exciting, but also adds that layer of fun.
01:58You know, you always go into these things thinking, oh, I hope it's going to be a success,
02:04I hope it's going to be a winner. We've literally been blown away by the impact of going live with
02:10this announcement yesterday across Greggs and Fen. It's really been absolutely just fantastic.
02:15More than ever, hundreds and hundreds of pieces of articles of press and inquiries, bookings are live.
02:25We've started to see bookings going into next year, so we've seen bookings into January already.
02:31Certain key dates, you know, you can imagine around festive period. Everyone just wants to
02:36experience it, to be a part of it. And all those, you know, those brands that we've grown up with,
02:43Greggs and Fenwick, they'll hold them really dearly. So, yeah, fantastic.
