00:00Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel.
00:03Okay, I need you to answer this honestly.
00:06How far would you go to avoid an awkward conversation?
00:11Because the answer might just get you killed.
00:14Today we are talking about a movie that answered that question with a ton of blood,
00:20a surprising amount of humor, and enough mind games to break a relationship literally.
00:26This is my review of the new erotic horror thriller Bone Lake.
00:31Now you might have heard some buzz about this film from festival last year.
00:36But it's hitting theaters and I can tell you it's a ride Bone Lake follows CΓ©s and Diego,
00:43a couple whose relationship is already under stress mostly because Diego quit his job to write a novel,
00:51leaving CΓ©s to carry the financial burden.
00:54They book a dreamy schedule's mansion on a Bone Lake for a romantic reset.
00:59Classic setup, right?
01:01Wrong.
01:01When they arrive, they find the place is double booked by another couple.
01:06The mysterious and incredibly attractive William Chin.
01:10And here's where the human element kicks in rather than just saying,
01:15Get out.
01:16This is our rental, CΓ©s and Diego try to be nice.
01:20They're eager to share the mansion, and that polite coordinates quickly separates into a drug,
01:27seduction, maze of lies and manipulation.
01:30What immediately sets Bone Lake apart is its tone.
01:34This isn't just a basic slasher or a simple home invasion flick.
01:39It's an erotic horror thriller that feels like a throwback to those great twisty 90s movies,
01:46but with a modern 2025 age.
01:49Director Mercedes Bracey Morgan has expertly mixed generous hair.
01:54You get this intense.
01:56Clostrophobic, psychological thriller, where will and chain systematically pick apart every single
02:02insecurity in CΓ©s and Diego's relationship.
02:05We'll be watching and thinking, oh my god, that's so real.
02:09And the next second year's clinching because of a horrible decision they make.
02:15The cast hair is phenomenal.
02:17Marihason as CΓ©s and Marco Piusi as Diego make you genuinely root for them,
02:23even when they're making hair choices.
02:25But Alex Ryo will, and Andare Nishita Chin as the antagonist.
02:31They're slick, mismiraging, and totally unnerving.
02:35They bring an unbelievable magnetic energetic that makes the manipulation sense pure cinematic fun.
02:42You might worry that all that relationship drama slows things down,
02:47but Morgan balances the pantsing flawlessly.
02:50We're never bored.
02:51Just when the emotional pressure is at its peak,
02:55the movie slams the brakes and shorups hard into horror.
02:59And let me warn you, when the violence hits, it hits.
03:04This movie does not shy away from the gourd.
03:07It's inventive, it's brutal, and there are some genuinely, generally,
03:11shocking injuries that will make you jump back in your seat.
03:15But the ultimate payoff the third act.
03:18The finally 30 minutes of Bone Lake is where all the tension,
03:23all the seduction, and all the psychological torture exploded into chaos.
03:29It's action fixed.
03:30It's violence.
03:31It's a deliberate on every single promises the movies make.
03:35I was literally cheering in my office.
03:38It's incredibly satisfying because you feel like CΓ©s and Diego,
03:43despite all their fellows finally earned their moment.
03:46This is more than just a horror movie.
03:49It's a conversation,
03:51stutter about modern relationships.
03:53And frankly,
03:54it's one of the most entertaining films I have ever seen this year.
04:00It takes a familiar premise,
04:02The Unwanted Guest,
04:03and gives it a fresh, sharp, and very bloody twist.
04:07I am absolutely recommending you go see Bone Lake.
04:10If you are a fan of thrillers that are sexy, funny, and then suddenly terrifying,
