Serious health issues have been raised at a 199-lot paper subdivision at Wyee.
The subdivision has had cases of dysentery due to no sewer system, residents say.
Judith Adam, Wyee Progress Association president, has lodged a petition with the NSW Parliament over the issue.
The petition calls for state help with sewer and other infrastructure to enable development to be approved in the subdivision.

00:00I originally bought the land in 2014 from memory. I had seen it on my way
00:08backwards and forwards and I knew at the time that the state was going to start
00:13putting money into infrastructure in places next to train stations so I
00:20thought well this could be a good one for me because between both my children
00:23one in Sydney one in Newcastle midway and I I made inquiries and at the time it
00:32seemed like this the sewage was going to go through flow systems was putting it
00:38in when I rang flow they said yes I'd be connected I honestly I can't tell you
00:45what happened after that point flow just didn't seem to do it it didn't happen and
00:50then council just stopped everybody from even putting sheds on their blocks of
00:57land and you know made it non-buildable or whatever it was they did but at the time
01:03when I bought it I did think having spoken to numerous people at council and
01:08Greg Piper who had told me that the money was there to include this subdivision I
01:14kind of probably I assumed that we would be getting infrastructure relatively soon
01:20at least by the time I retired I love the area I think it's a great it's a great community
