Transcript
00:00Today is the supreme exhibit of the Speckled Park Show.
00:03It's about 28 months and 990 kilos.
00:07What are you going to use the bull for?
00:08Andrew and Donita retain him in their stud.
00:11We'll lay a few cows in our own program to him.
00:14We'll use him as a herd tie, I suppose.
00:16He's been a pretty successful bull on the show circuit.
00:19Where else has he had success?
00:20We took him up to Brisbane for the feature show
00:22where he was the grand champion bull there.
00:25And then he was the grand champion here last year as a young bull.
00:28So he's had a good show career.
00:30And why do you think Speckled Parks are doing so well on the show circuit?
00:34And what's their place in the Australian beef industry?
00:37I think they're early maturing and they suit that supermarket trade pretty well.
00:42So early maturing and easy doing sort of cattle that convert feed easily.
00:47So I suppose that's why they're getting widely used now.
