00:08It comes after Freshfield Animal Rescue announced the death of one of its most beloved dogs, Chester.
00:15The news of Chester's death was announced on September 11th, with a post online stating,
00:21It is with deep sadness that I am letting you know that we have made the decision to put to sleep one of much-loved dogs Chester,
00:28for the reasons of staff safety.
00:32The post received hundreds of comments from grief-stricken staff and volunteers.
00:38The negative reaction meant that a statement followed from the group stating that Chester had bitten two experienced handlers,
00:45both who required hospital treatment.
