00:00:32There's people on this roster nobody gave a shit about until they started wrestling with me.

00:01:12We're going to crown a new Knockouts World Champion tonight.
00:01:15It began with this battle royal, which was won by Laney Lee and Kalani Jordan of NXT.
00:01:23For Santino Morella, the last two in this battle royal would go on to face each other one-on-one.
00:01:29Tonight for the vacant Knockouts World Championship.
00:01:34It was a very unexpected beginning to the events here at Victory Road,
00:01:39but any which way you throw it, we will make history here tonight
00:01:43with a brand new Knockouts World Champion.
00:01:46Earlier on this evening, Ashby Elegance was forced to relinquish the Knockouts World Championship,
00:01:51having to step away from in-ring competition.
00:01:53So it's come down to this with Indy Hartwell as the special guest referee,
00:01:58Laney Lee of TNA, Kalani Jordan of NXT.
00:02:02We're about to crown the new Knockouts World Champion.
00:02:06And as it was confirmed earlier on tonight by our broadcast colleague, Gia Miller, two weeks from Sunday,
00:02:31live on pay-per-view in TNA Plus in Lowell, Massachusetts, Indy Hartwell,
00:02:37the number one contender to the Knockouts World Championship,
00:02:40will challenge whomever is the champion at Bound for Glory.
00:02:46Indy Hartwell keeps her matchup, and tonight she gets a very close look at who her opponent will be.
00:02:54This is a great scouting opportunity for Indy Hartwell.
00:03:12Victory Road has been full of surprises,
00:03:15from Ashby Elegance relinquishing the Knockouts World Championship
00:03:18to the method in which we're getting to this moment to crown a new champion,
00:03:22but the appearance of Kalani Jordan from NXT,
00:03:27a shocker to everyone this evening.
00:03:30No doubt about it, a history maker in her own right,
00:03:33I mentioned it earlier tonight,
00:03:35the inaugural NXT Women's North American Champion.

00:05:06her tag team partner within the Angel Warriors, who's got to mean a tremendous amount,
00:05:10but Lee's fighting for herself, trying to make history, fighting on behalf of TNA Wrestling.
00:05:18How in the world do you compartmentalize your emotions?
00:05:20And especially all of this being strung upon them just tonight.
00:05:25None of this was scheduled as we began our broadcast here tonight in Edmonton.
00:05:30So everybody's been trying to think on their feet, especially the entire Knockouts Division.
00:05:36So trying to, in a moment like this, on a night like this, you just move one moment at a time.

00:05:53And it's for the TNA Knockouts World Championship.

00:07:05In a shocking turn of events, we are about to crown the new TNA Knockouts World Champion
00:07:19between TNA's Laying Li and NXT's Kalani Jordan,
00:07:24with Indy Hartwell of TNA as the special guest referee.
00:07:29And mind you, Indy Hartwell is the number one contender for this championship come Bound for Glory.
00:07:36But also, company pride is at stake after what happened this past Tuesday night,
00:07:40especially great sportsmanship here that was shown between Jordan and Lee.
00:07:44But do you think Indy Hartwell can remain impartial?
00:07:48I mean, quite frankly, I don't want her to remain impartial if I'm being honest with you.
00:07:54But I think she's more focused rather on, she has to talk about, talk about compartmentalizing.

00:08:04You have to kind of keep it focused on what is ahead of you.
00:08:07You kind of have to put the tensions between TNA and NXT aside.

00:33:45in a fight like that but in a straight up match frankie kazarian has a lot of tricks up his sleeve
00:33:52kazarian does have a lot of tricks but we've seen throughout this championship reign for steve
00:33:58macklin that it's not just about being in those extreme hardcore environments he was able to put
00:34:02away eric young in a standard rules match he's able to do the same thing with jake something mance
00:34:07warner multiple times multiple styles of single matches this is something that macklin has evolved
00:34:13into i don't think he's ever been better from a technical standpoint i i wouldn't disagree with that either
00:34:18macklin has done nothing but improve since i've seen him quite frankly in the professional wrestling
00:34:23industry it's been an upward trajectory but especially here in tna he's found his potential
00:34:28and then some however i will at least say in this international title run in this latest steve
00:34:35macklin we've seen he has not competed against somebody in my opinion the wrestling iq level what's
00:34:42going for kia and now kazarian scrambling to the ropes that was very smart by kazarian i think he is
00:34:51one of the craftiest wiliest smartest veterans and in-ring technicians and that's in his face
00:34:59macklin kazarian getting in each other's heads saying i was this close to getting you
00:35:10and here's the thing macklin is technically probably the best he's ever been but if frankie kazarian can
00:35:17attack his psyche and get into his head get into his mind and maybe cause him to see red and just go
00:35:25without thinking about technique without thinking about wrestling and just go forward fighting like a
00:35:31truck that's where frankie kazarian can take advantage
