00:00I mean, we should have done better, we know, but then again, this is always going to be
00:05a game that will keep building update by update, making it bigger, making it better, adding
00:11in more interesting things.
00:12One of the really great things is the minute that you put that out to the world, everything
00:17that you're hearing is the truth.
00:20It's how to actually make the game better.
00:22It's getting out of your head and thinking about what other people want.
00:25And that's what unlocked for us the minute that we launched the game.
00:28And it really has driven the team.
00:30Actually, people are even more motivated because they say, oh, right, this is what we should
00:33be doing.
00:34This is how we can fix things and how we can make things better.
00:36And that's what's really driven most of the update.
00:38Yeah.
00:39And in this first major update breakpoint, we're addressing a lot of the paid points the community
00:45has had.
00:46So I think let's get into it.
00:48Yeah.
00:58We've received your feedback and have really taken it to heart with the FBC Firebreak development
01:09team here at Remedy.
01:11And since launch, we've been working really hard on the first major update.
01:16This represents the first big step in incorporating community feedback alongside implementing new
01:22features that we've been cooking up for a while.
01:25If you want to know the full details of what major update breakpoint has included, check
01:30out our blog post that we released earlier today.
01:33Link to that is in the description below.
01:35But now let's go over the key features of breakpoint.
01:38One of our key changes has been the addition of the crisis board, which is a fresh way of
01:45us presenting curated content in a way that is a lot more dynamic, a lot less predictable,
01:50and way closer to the first responder fantasy at the heart of this game.
01:54Basically, what we're trying to do is let the game find the fun for you instead of asking
01:59you to hunt for it yourself.
02:02One of the things that we've been thinking about a lot for this update is variety.
02:06Now, some of that comes down to how much you're being asked to do inside of especially zone
02:12one and zone two.
02:13So we've cut those objectives down by about 25% across the board.
02:17Then more excitingly, we've also added what we're calling alternate objectives, which are
02:21new things to do that randomly pop up inside of your sessions, totally replacing the normal
02:26objective with something fresh.
02:29We've got about two per crisis already in the game, and we're looking at adding more in the
02:34future.
02:35So putting these things together, what we're trying to do is create more variety for you
02:46right now, but also produce a platform and a framework for the team to deliver even more
02:51exciting content in the most fun way possible in the future.
02:55We're bringing a new location to the game that might be familiar to some of you.
03:02Following a series of devastating house shifts across the research sector, the mold has begun
03:06to spread and evolve, transforming both firebreakers and hiss alike into dangerous new enemies.
03:13Your mission?
03:14Descend down into research, analyze any spores you find, then brew a custom poison to eliminate
03:20all mold in the area.
03:21Just remember, do as you're told, don't eat the mold.
03:28In this crisis, it's your job to actually go get those mold spores and take them to an
03:33analyzer.
03:34All the while set upon by the hiss and two new enemies that we've got just for this experience.
03:39The mold turret, which fires these massive projectiles that you're going to actually have to dodge
03:43or maybe slide out of the way from.
03:46Or mold walkers, which are kind of slow, but pack a really heavy punch if you get too close.
03:51Now there's a few different ways to move those spores around.
03:54You actually have to either hold them, which puts you at risk of eating them and becoming
03:58moldy, which does not end well for you.
04:01Or you need to use these new trains that firebreak has set up that can safely transport them around
04:05the room until they get sucked up automatically by these large vacuum tubes.
04:10With a new crisis and all new enemies across the game, you're going to need a lot more firepower.
04:16So we've added three brand new guns to the game alongside a new feature called gun mods.
04:23As you level up, you will unlock three mod slots for each one of your guns, giving you
04:27a lot of ways to customize the functionality of your weapons.
04:32Hello, fellow Bureau employees.
04:44Have you tried leaving the office for a cigarette break recently?
04:48With this first major update, we're really trying to tackle and improve the onboarding.
04:53There's a brand new tutorial mission that explains the game systems, explains crisis kits, and
04:59then we've made other changes as well that hopefully make it a smoother experience, especially
05:04for new players.
05:09We are hard at work here at Remedy.
05:12We know that we didn't get everything right at launch, and we are working to improve those
05:17things.
05:18We are working to add even more of the stuff that you already love about Firebreak.
05:21And this is our first of many major updates that are coming.
05:25And with Breakpoint, there's already so much stuff to get excited about.
05:28We've got a whole new crisis with Outbreak, we've got two new enemies for that crisis,
05:33we've got three new guns, we've got an entire new gun mod system to upgrade them, we've got
05:37a revamped economy to get the gun mods, new XP rewards, new cosmetics, new exotic cosmetics,
05:43we've got new voice packs, three new grenades, and I'm sure I'm forgetting tons of stuff.
05:46It is a huge update, but also, again, just the first step to getting us on the right
05:52track and making sure that you can have as much fun with this game as possible.
05:55Am I like slamming it in your face?
06:14The rewinding back, that was great.
06:15Oh yeah?
06:16That was very smooth.
