00:00Hurricane Humberto just exploded into a Category 5 beast in the Atlantic.
00:04And it's not alone.
00:06Over the weekend, Humberto roared into Category 5 strength
00:09before dipping slightly to a still-deadly Category 4.
00:13Winds are howling at 140 miles per hour as it churns just 430 miles south of Bermuda.
00:18The island is now under a tropical storm watch.
00:21Life-threatening waves and rip currents are expected,
00:24not just in Bermuda, but also across the Virgin Islands,
00:27Puerto Rico, and parts of the U.S. East Coast.
00:30And there's more.
00:31A second storm, Tropical Storm Imelda,
00:34just formed and could turn into a hurricane within days.
00:37Imelda is already dumping heavy rain on Cuba and the Bahamas
00:40with flood and mudslide risks rising fast.
00:43Some areas may see up to 8 inches of rain.
00:46Forecasters are also watching the rare chance of the two storms interacting,
00:50a dangerous dance known as the Fujiwara effect.
00:53Luckily, that outcome seems unlikely for now.
00:57But with Humberto staying strong for the next few days,
00:59and Imelda gaining power.
01:01The Atlantic is heating up fast.
01:03If you're anywhere from Florida to North Carolina, be alert.
01:07This hurricane season just hit another level.
