00:00Come with me to the best weekend ever at Alton Towers Scarefest 2025.
00:05So I started my weekend at the lovely Stoke and Trent train station.
00:08This journey took me about an hour and 20 minutes.
00:11This is me meeting my friend Ellie.
00:13And then we got the Uber to Alton Towers Hotel, which took about another 23 minutes.
00:19From there we checked into our room.
00:20This is my little goodie bag and we were in the Woodland Lodges.
00:24And it definitely ran with the theme.
00:27Our room came with a double bed and two bunk beds and a pull-out bed,
00:30which would literally be perfect for families.
00:31And I can imagine kids loving the room.
00:33This is us getting very excited and then heading off for drinks later in the evening.
00:37We got food at the hotel restaurant and then we settled down for an early night.
00:41So we were ready to enjoy the day.
00:43The whole resort was Scarefest themed and it really got us in the spirit of Halloween.
00:47We woke up in the morning in our lovely Wood Fairy Cabin
00:50and waved goodbye to it as we headed to breakfast.
00:54This was buffet style and exactly what we needed.
00:57From there we started our walk to the actual theme park.
00:59There is a monorail available, but we decided to skip the queues and firm the 15 minute walk.
01:04You could really tell they went all out with decorations this year.
01:07Every step of the park was Halloween themed and it really got us in the mood for our Scare Maze.
01:13The Edge of the Forest Scare Maze is new for 2025 and we got special VIP access.
01:18And this is what we thought after.
01:19So we just came out of the brand new Edge of the Forest Maze and we are traumatised.
01:22What do you guys think?
01:23Yeah, it was so scary.
01:24That was so scary.
01:26Yeah, don't know if we'll be able to go back again.
01:28We were like grabbing onto each other.
01:29No.
01:30But it was really good and it's got the scare factor that you need.
01:33After that we took a little walk to our first ride of the day, which Ellie promised me wasn't going to be scary.
01:39Spoiler alert, she lied.
01:40So now we're waiting for the first ride of the day.
01:43We've just come out of the Scare Maze.
01:44It's called Rita and it goes 0 to 60 miles per hour.
01:48After being traumatised once more, we realised that we couldn't be scared anymore.
01:52So we carried on trying all the rides that we could in the park.
01:55We were absolutely shocked at how much time we actually spent in the park all day and we weren't ready to leave.
02:00There's also a sea life aquarium in there, which I think you could spend the day in itself.
02:04And that was a really nice welcome break from the rides.
02:06We finished the day with a spooky black ice cream and cannot wait for our next visit.
