00:19The typhoon sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 250 kilometers per hour,

00:26slightly intensified as it brushed Babuyan Island and moved toward possible landfall over Kalayan Island.

00:33Authorities suspended work and classes across Metro Manila and much of the country as the storm approached,

00:39with forecasters warning of power outages, landslides and dangerous seas.

00:44The storm prompted flight cancellations, ferry suspensions and the highest typhoon warning over the Babuyan Islands.
