Typhoon Kalmaegi: A state of emergency has been declared on Thursday in the Philippines after Typhoon Kalmaegi has wreaked havoc in the country, leaving 114 people dead and hundreds missing. Kalmaegi is declared as the deadliest natural disaster to hit the country this year. The majority of the people died from drowning in flash floods. As per several reports, as many as 127 people are still missing, many in the hard-hit central province of Cebu. The tropical cyclone exited the island chain on Wednesday and moved into the South China Sea.
