00:00Denmark has banned all civilian drone flights ahead of a European Union summit in Copenhagen.
00:06Now this comes after Denmark was one of several European countries that reported drone sightings in recent weeks, including one above Danish military sites on Saturday.
00:18The ban will remain in place until October 3rd, where violators facing fines are up to two years in prison.
00:25Denmark currently holds the rotating presidency of the EU Council.
00:30Unidentified drones were reported since September 22nd, forcing the closure of Copenhagen and Oslo airports.
00:38Danish investigators have yet to identify those responsible.
00:42Prime Minister Mehta Fredriksson has not ruled out Russia, though Moscow denies any involvement.
00:49In response, defence ministers from 10 EU countries have agreed to create a drone wall.
00:54NATO also says it will increase vigilance across the Baltic following multiple reported Russian airspace incursions.
