00:00African Creators Conference 2025 brought together visionary thinkers, entrepreneurs, artists, and innovators from diverse fields, a platform dedicated to foster innovation and creating the exceptional talent of creators across the African continent.
00:19The event showcased Africans' rich creative heritage and cutting-edge innovations to international stakeholders.
00:30Africa's greatest resource is not its mineral or commodity, but its people, creative, talent, and resilient artificial intelligence.
00:44Artificial intelligence, if kindness effectively can amplify these strengths, it can unlock new markets, transform education, inspire cultural despots, and create millions of jobs.
00:59Many creators are marginalized, so they have the talent and skills, but they don't have the platform to promote those skills and talents, and also get to meet with investors, peers, and policymakers for them to understand how to come to the industry.
01:19The conference focuses on digital skills and AI integration, such as skills training, curriculum review, training of trainers, thereby improving employment prospects in Africa.
01:31The technology is a progressive development.
01:37So Nigeria as a whole, as a country, is not part of the AI journey. In the sense that we have been able to have our AI strategy. And the AI strategy that Nigeria has developed, they are one of the very few African countries that have that kind of strategy.
01:53We have the numbers, right, which is the population. That is our superpower, right? But then, the numbers without talent is almost a waste. So what we need to do now is to create trainings to bridge that gap, right? Create trainings that can convert talent to population.
02:09Experts at this event said Africa must not just be consumers of digital economy, but creators as well.
02:16As well. Michael Dubier, African News, Abuja, Nigeria.
