00:00A new community allotment plot providing support to people affected by cancer

00:04has opened at Cardiff Council's Forest Farm allotment site.

00:09Once overgrown and out of use, the plot has been brought back into use by the local allotment society

00:15in partnership with two cancer support charities, Maggie's and Ray of Light Cancer Support Wales.

00:22There was also funding from Keep Wales Tidy, which meant that raised planters could be installed

00:28alongside a new shed and a polytunnel.

00:31New fruit trees were also planted and the allotment is now used as a perfect place for gardening

00:36and relaxing for those who need support.
