Step into the unsettling world of alien abduction through the eyes of renowned ufologist Budd Hopkins. In this gripping video, Hopkins recounts the terrifying experiences of his patients—ordinary people haunted by extraordinary encounters. From vivid descriptions of alien faces to the psychological trauma etched into their memories, this documentary-style presentation explores the darker side of extraterrestrial contact.

🔍 Based on real-life cases that inspired the 1992 miniseries Intruders, this video dives deep into:

The emotional aftermath of alien abductions

Hopkins’ use of hypnotic regression to uncover hidden memories

The recurring imagery of alien beings: large black eyes, emotionless expressions, and surgical precision

The cultural impact of Intruders and its portrayal of these phenomena

👁️‍🗨️ Whether you're a skeptic or a believer, this chilling exploration will leave you questioning what lies beyond the stars.

00:00Now, what I'd like to do is show some slides. May I have this?
00:03Yes.
00:04Just show some slides. This is very quick about some of the drawings that have been done, some of the faces.
00:15Now, I told you the story about the man whose only recollection was a dread of a certain stretch of highway,
00:23one of the major, a dread of a certain place, it was very common.
00:26And this is a drawing made by Ted Jacobs, who I also introduced to Whitley Strieber,
00:33and he had Ted do the drawing for his cover of his book, it's a pastel.
00:38But the man that I had been describing had Ted make the drawings of these figures.
00:44Now, it's interesting, almost everybody, when they finish the drawing or have the drawing done,
00:48they look at it and say, it's sort of right, but it's not quite right.
00:53It never seems to be exactly on target.
00:55It's an odd thing.
00:57But that's a typical example.
00:59Now, this will have to get back a little bit to see together.
01:02The drawing on the right was done by Kathy Davis.
01:04The one on the left was drawn by a woman from North Carolina who had a UFO experience.
01:09When I was giving a lecture one time and showed that slide,
01:15the woman who had made the drawing on the left had never seen the one on the right,
01:18and she took one look at the two together and came up to me after the lecture,
01:25and tears were running down her face, and she said how shocked, horrified she'd been when she saw this.
01:32She said, you know, but I don't want to believe that happened to me, that it really happened to me.
01:35But seeing the figure on the right sort of cemented to her the idea that they're being so similar
01:41that, in fact, she had encountered these people.
01:44We're describing figures again who are roughly, the descriptions run from very small,
01:50three feet or so to maybe up to almost five feet.
01:53This is a drawing involving a case in Canada,
02:00and the woman gave us a nice side view to show that the eyes wrapped around the side.
02:05Now, her conscious recollection of her abduction is interesting.
02:08She remembered, and this is part of the vagaries of recollection of these cases,
02:14it's as if the wiping out of the memory is an imperfect science as far as they're concerned.
02:19They seem to be able to block the memory, but not always exactly.
02:23This woman remembered.
02:24Maybe they don't want to.
02:25Maybe they don't want to, but it's worked in a very odd way,
02:29where one man had an abduction experience which involved a missing time period of about two hours,
02:36but subsequently he forgot all the events of the whole week.
02:40It's as if, and yet he was going about his business.
02:43He went to work, he came home, his family were in touch with him and so forth.
02:47But it's as if they gave him a little overdose of anesthetic,
02:51and it took everything else with it, along with the abduction experience.
02:55But this woman awoke, she was, I believe, eight or nine years old, I've forgotten.
03:01She woke up in the middle of the night in the farm near Toronto, outskirts,
03:05found herself absolutely compelled to go downstairs and go outside,
03:10and she walked out not knowing where she was going and walked down a road.
03:15She knew exactly where she had to go, walked up a field,
03:18and she saw this illuminated square form against a black mass,
03:22and it turned out to be a doorway and an object.
03:26And there were these two little people standing there,
03:27and she knew that she had to walk right inside, again, as if she was compelled.
03:31And she remembers that they said, now this is all conscious recollection,
03:35that she was to get on this table.
03:37And she took one look at the table and this implication of helplessness and so forth,
03:42and said, no way am I getting on that table.
03:45And the next thing she knew, she was walking back up the road to the house,
03:49and she remembered all that consciously.
03:52Of course, the part she didn't remember is that she ended up on the table.
03:54Many times people think that they have won this little battle,
03:57and, in fact, they haven't.
04:01This is a drawing, a three-quarter head,
04:04and this is a case in Erie, Pennsylvania.
04:06This woman awoke on...
04:10She'd had many experiences.
04:11It's quite complex, but one rather bizarre one.
04:14She awoke hearing a strange sound outside the window,
04:19and there was a tree branch outside.
04:21She remembered the tree branches shaking and jumping,
04:23and as if she heard something walking on the roof.
04:29Then, the next thing she knew, she was back in bed
04:32and had no recollection of what happened,
04:34except that the branches were broken.
04:38There was something very strange that had occurred.
04:40Under hypnosis, the craft had come directly down next to this window,
04:44her bedroom window, a second-story window.
04:45She was taken out the window into the craft,
04:48and, under hypnosis, the way the scene ended,
04:51they put her back on the windowsill, the second-story window,
04:54and she remembered sitting on the windowsill
04:56and watching this thing moving away,
04:57and then looking around and realizing
04:59that here she is in her nightgown up there.
05:02How did she get there as the memory had been taken away?
05:05This is interesting because it's a three-quarter head,
05:07and we don't have too many of those.
05:09Now, this is a little sculpture by Kathy Davis,
05:12the central figure in Intruders,
05:15and she made it of ceramic afterwards,
05:19and we had a meeting once with our support group,
05:23and Kathy had brought this along,
05:25and she had it sitting on a little counter,
05:27and when the first couple of abductees walked in,
05:30everybody sort of jumped looking at it,
05:32didn't like looking at it,
05:33and finally, a woman who was rather fiery of temperament
05:37marched straight over to it
05:39and wrapped both her hands around his skinny little neck,
05:42and it was like that.
05:43And it was enormous.
05:46Everybody felt this great sense of relief.
05:49But I said, it was their thought,
05:51but they were still afraid to go over.
05:54And incidentally, the kind of terror that people feel
05:57is so unreasoning to someone who hasn't had the experience.
06:01One man who's a very big, burly man said to me,
06:05but if I were in my bed,
06:07and I have a gun on my bed table,
06:10and I saw them come in the door,
06:13which had happened to him in his bedroom,
06:16and the gun was there,
06:17he said, I'd pick up the gun and kill myself.
06:19Not them.
06:20Not them, himself.
06:22Because the terror was that great.
06:23But you just said it had happened to him?
06:26This had actually happened without the gun.
06:28He didn't have a gun at the time.
06:30One detail, but I mean, that's the level of terror,
06:32and I've heard this from other cases,
06:33and I have at least three cases
06:35where I'm absolutely convinced
06:37that a person was tipped over the edge into suicide
06:40because of their UFO experiences.
06:43That level of terror is very, very powerful.
06:47Now, the thing about the Kathy Davis head,
06:49which is really kind of charming,
06:50I said,
06:51Kathy, why do you have the head inclined back,
06:54looking like that?
06:55And she said,
06:55well, that's why I always see him.
06:57He's only this big,
06:58and he's always looking up.
06:59It's realism.
07:03This is a case,
07:04a drawing of a case that occurred
07:07actually in the Bronx, New York.
07:09I have within Manhattan itself
07:11some abductions.
07:13A craft has come down perfectly black,
07:15dark at night,
07:16right above a building,
07:17and a person has taken up a beam
07:20right out through their apartment building
07:23or whatever.
07:23In one case,
07:24a man and his sister
07:26whose parents, incidentally,
07:29are extremely,
07:30the father is extremely well-known
07:32in theatrical areas.
07:37The father and mother
07:39were putting Christmas presents
07:43under the tree
07:44and so on and so forth,
07:45and suddenly this man,
07:48the abductor he was working with,
07:50with his sister,
07:51they were a little tiny,
07:52perhaps three and five years old,
07:54were just somehow
07:57floated out of their beds
07:58into the room
07:59where the parents were,
08:00and the parents were frozen,
08:02unable to move,
08:03as if they were
08:04in suspended animation.
08:06We get this in many cases.
08:07And this man,
08:08as a boy,
08:09and his sister
08:10were taking up
08:11a beam of light
08:12into the craft.
08:14And under hypnosis,
08:16it was extraordinarily touching
08:17because his sister
08:19was on another table,
08:20and she was being examined
08:23and was crying
08:24and he was trying
08:25to comfort her
08:25even though he was only,
08:27say, five years old
08:27or six years old.
08:29But when he first
08:30got in this place,
08:31not knowing what was happening,
08:32it was Christmas Eve,
08:34under hypnosis,
08:35and this is a grown man
08:36reliving it
08:37as if he were a child,
08:40there's this long silence
08:41and he suddenly says,
08:42where's Santa Claus?
08:44And bursts into tears,
08:45sobbing and sobbing.
08:47He knew that somehow
08:48it was magical,
08:48it had some property
08:50if he didn't know
08:50whether it was
08:51Santa Claus was involved
08:52or what.
08:53But anyway,
08:55this drawing was made
08:57by a man
08:57who's experienced
08:57a different person
08:58that occurred
08:59in the Bronx, New York.
09:00I have people
09:00from all the boroughs
09:01of New York City.
09:03What do you think
09:04of this selection process?
09:05Obviously,
09:06these people are chosen
09:07and pre-selected,
09:09and could they be
09:10of descendants
09:12of an evolution
09:13or even reincarnated
09:15of individuals
09:16who have been
09:17with those spacecraft
09:1810,000 years ago
09:20or 50,000 years ago?
09:21I suppose anything
09:22is possible.
09:23We have tried
09:24to do psychological testing
09:25of varying sorts,
09:27interviews and so on
09:28to look for any patterns
09:29in these people.
09:30The patterns
09:30that we've gotten
09:31psychologically
09:32are very similar,
09:33according to psychologists,
09:34of the sorts of deficits
09:36that turn up
09:36in tests done
09:37with rape victims.
09:39A sense of lowered
09:40self-esteem,
09:41a sense of great fear
09:42about the outer world,
09:44and a sense of not trusting
09:45their own bodies,
09:46their own physicality.
09:47Have you ever
09:48taken a subject
09:49and regressed
09:50someone who's had
09:51multiple abductions
09:52to the next
09:54previous lifetime
09:55and gone back
09:57to see if in that
09:58incarnation
09:59they had also
09:59been abducted?
10:00I've never gotten
10:01involved in doing
10:02past life hypnosis.
10:08I take my mysteries
10:10one at a time.
10:13Thank you very much.
10:15Very good answer.
10:18A Canadian abductee,
10:20a woman,
10:22when asked the question
10:23of why were you chosen,
10:25and why has anybody chosen?
10:27Her response was
10:28that they told her
10:29that they could tune in
10:31easier to certain kinds
10:33of people than others,
10:34implying that there's
10:35some kind of electromagnetic
10:36or other way
10:38of monitoring people
10:40to see who they can control
10:41or communicate with
10:42or whatever.
10:43Have you heard
10:43that kind of thing?
10:45It's from the same woman
10:46you talked about before.
10:47But I would not believe
10:49anything I hear from
10:50an alien any more
10:51than I would believe
10:52anything I hear from
10:52Ed Meese.
10:55I'm not saying
10:56it's true.
10:57I'm saying there's
10:58a certain degree
10:58of sense in the notion
10:59that when you scan,
11:02if you find somebody
11:03you can tune in on
11:04easier,
11:05that makes the job easier.
11:07Why can you tune in?
11:08Is it a genetic tie?
11:09What's the link?
11:10There's got to be a link.
11:12The big thing is
11:13that we're dealing
11:14with people who
11:15are being tracked
11:15because of their
11:16genetic position.
11:18In other words,
11:18that they are the
11:19daughter or son
11:20of somebody
11:20who has already
11:21been abducted.
11:22So we're going
11:22across generations.
11:23It doesn't seem
11:24to be random that way.
11:26I mean,
11:26they definitely seem
11:27to lock on to people
11:29who are in a certain
11:30bloodline,
11:31which connects it
11:32with a physical thing
11:34more than,
11:35let's say,
11:35a psychological
11:36or spiritual thing,
11:37although that may be
11:38involved,
11:39but certainly the
11:39physical thing
11:40seems to be
11:41very central to it.
11:42Now,
11:42earlier,
11:44as a matter of fact,
11:45Linda said something
11:46about locations
11:47at certain times,
11:48things happen
11:48in a certain area.
11:50It also works
11:50completely the other
11:51way around too.
11:52That I have one abductee
11:54who I've been working
11:55with,
11:56a young woman,
11:57who was abducted
11:57in Ohio,
11:59where she was born
11:59as a little child
12:00several times.
12:02She went to Spain
12:03and was abducted
12:04in Spain,
12:04and she also
12:05was in South America,
12:07in Argentina,
12:08was abducted there.
12:09So it didn't make
12:10a difference
12:11of where she went.
12:12She was being tracked.
12:14This slide
12:15we have here
12:16is from
12:18a drawing
12:20made by a woman
12:20who was shown
12:23evidently
12:23at the nursery
12:24where these
12:25little fetuses
12:26are developed.
12:27The figure at the left
12:28was her idea
12:28of the more adult
12:30figure
12:31and the little fetus
12:32in the foreground,
12:33fetus-like thing.
12:34She later said
12:34that the body
12:35is too small
12:36in proportion
12:36of the head.
12:37But these are
12:37rather ugly
12:38and rather terrifying,
12:39to put it mildly,
12:40and the little tank
12:40is the object
12:42at which the thing
12:42was floated.
12:43Now one of the details
12:44I kept out of my book
12:45are descriptions
12:46of the nursery
12:47where these little babies
12:48are developed
12:48which are very similar
12:50and I have a number
12:51of cases
12:51and so we've had
12:52people fill in.
12:54Incidentally,
12:54one thing about
12:55the drawings.
12:56A man who
12:57contacted me
12:59a while ago,
12:59he did not know
13:00I'd written a book
13:01or anything about this,
13:04remembered everything
13:05consciously
13:05without hypnosis
13:06and this is
13:06many of these cases.
13:08he came to my studio
13:10and finally
13:11when I won
13:12his confidence
13:13and he began
13:14telling me
13:15things that had
13:15happened to him,
13:18he said,
13:18Bud,
13:18they put something
13:19up my nose,
13:21made my nose bleed
13:23and he said,
13:23I was only five years old.
13:24He said,
13:25I remember them sticking.
13:26He said,
13:26have you ever heard of that?
13:27And I said,
13:28well,
13:29maybe 50 or 60,
13:3070,
13:3080 times.
13:31He was stunned
13:32to find out that.
13:33At any rate,
13:34I had him make a drawing
13:35of the figure
13:36that he recalled
13:37having been in the craft.
13:40He sat down
13:40very carefully
13:41making this drawing
13:42and when he finished it,
13:43it was so much
13:44like the others.
13:45I took the,
13:47I opened my book
13:48Intruders,
13:48which he did not know about
13:50and he came up
13:52with many details
13:53in this account
13:54that had not been
13:54printed in Intruders
13:55and I had absolutely
13:57no reason to doubt him.
13:58I showed him the book,
14:00showed him these pictures.
14:01I just slid it over
14:02to him on the table.
14:03He took one look,
14:04his eyes hit those pictures
14:05and he jumped
14:06like that
14:07and then burst into tears.
14:09And this is a man,
14:10I would say,
14:11in his middle 30s,
14:13married,
14:14very substantial businessman,
14:16but he sobbed
14:17and sobbed.
14:18He was such a horrifying shock.
14:20He said,
14:21where did you get
14:21those pictures?
14:22And I said,
14:23I got them the same
14:24way I got your picture.
14:25And I apologize
14:26for showing it
14:27to him so quickly.
14:29But he showed me
14:30a scar on his leg.
14:32He remembered them
14:32cutting his leg
14:33when he was a little boy.
14:35And he said,
14:36have you ever heard
14:36of anything like that?
14:37And I said,
14:38yes, I have.
14:40These are two scars
14:42on the calf,
14:44the front of the calf
14:45of Kathy Davis.
14:47These are what we call
14:48the scoop marks.
14:49They're a little round,
14:51they're smaller
14:52than your little fingernail
14:53and they're distinct depressions
14:54as if a little,
14:55almost like ice cream scoop,
14:57tool was used
14:57to remove layers of cells.
14:59They were done
14:59at two different times.
15:00I'll show you
15:01a close-up
15:02of what they look like.
15:04Doctors have been
15:05extremely interested
15:06in these
15:06because one doctor
15:08asked her
15:09if she'd ever
15:09had a bone marrow
15:11sample taken
15:12or couldn't figure out
15:13what would cause
15:14this little depression.
15:17Now,
15:18this is the leg
15:19of her mother.
15:22Talking about
15:23the generations,
15:23this is a close-up
15:24in another light
15:25of the mark
15:27on her mother's leg.
15:28The scoop mark here.
15:30Two generations
15:31of the same family.
15:34This is a little
15:35harder to see.
15:36I hope everybody,
15:37if we zoom in a little bit,
15:39there's a straight line
15:40cut to one side
15:40on the scoop mark
15:41down at the end of it.
15:43This occurred,
15:43just to show you
15:44the distribution of this,
15:46on the leg of a woman
15:48who is now
15:49about 32 years old
15:52and this occurred
15:53when she was
15:53about four
15:54living in France.
15:56This is a French
15:57abduction.
15:58Same exact thing
15:59happening.
16:01That's it.
16:02This is a close-up
16:02of a scoop mark
16:04on the back
16:04of a man
16:05who was abducted
16:06from Brooklyn.
16:09This man's
16:10mother is
16:11an American
16:12and black
16:13and his father
16:13is from Pakistan
16:14and there seem
16:16to have been
16:16other experiences,
16:18abductions
16:19in that family.
16:20It's not yet
16:20been thoroughly explored.
16:23This is the
16:24scoop mark
16:25and yet another case.
16:27It's sort of
16:27unfortunate to be sitting.
16:29I think this is
16:29probably enough.
16:30We can turn off
16:30the slides.
16:32Sitting here
16:32looking at scars
16:33is not the
16:34most pleasant thing,
16:36but I don't know
16:36whether it's better
16:37than looking at
16:37Linda's carcasses.
16:38I have to think
16:39about that.
16:41One of the things...
16:42It's sort of the same.
16:43This isn't all fun.
16:44What we do here.
16:46You know,
16:47I'd like to comment
16:48on the terror
16:49that you are describing.
16:51Generations of young men
16:53have gone to war,
16:54died on the battlefield.
16:56People pass on
16:57heroically
16:58from terminal diseases
17:00or traumatic things.
17:02And death
17:04is not so great
17:05a terror
17:05as you have described.
17:07And therefore,
17:08what terror
17:09could be
17:09greater
17:10to the human psyche
17:11than death?
17:13One man told me
17:14one man said
17:15the following thing.
17:16This is a chemist
17:16who's abducted.
17:18He said,
17:19Bud,
17:19when I was...
17:20He went up
17:21some kind of a beam
17:22right out of his car
17:23and was brought down
17:24into this room
17:25from the top
17:26of the room.
17:27This is very unusual.
17:27Usually,
17:28it's through the floor.
17:29And as he's being
17:30lowered down,
17:30he said,
17:31standing on this floor
17:32looking up
17:33are these little
17:33gray figures,
17:35more or less identical,
17:37just looking up at him
17:38dispassionately.
17:39There's a table.
17:41It's very clear
17:41he's headed
17:42for the table.
17:43And he said,
17:44Bud,
17:45I didn't know
17:46what or who
17:47they were
17:47looking at me.
17:49I had no idea
17:50what they were.
17:51There was no emotion,
17:52no way to read it.
17:53They weren't standing
17:54there with...
17:55like they're about
17:56to attack him
17:57and do something
17:58where you might
17:59actually get
17:59some kind of
18:00adrenaline going
18:01and fight back.
18:02They're just
18:02dispassionate,
18:04just staring.
18:05He said,
18:06I didn't know
18:06where I was,
18:07what this room was,
18:08that I was just now
18:09being transported
18:10into it.
18:10And he said,
18:11and my body
18:12didn't work.
18:13I couldn't even
18:13get an arm up
18:14to my face.
18:16And he said,
18:17every single
18:18familiar thing
18:19had been taken
18:19away from me.
18:21My surroundings,
18:23my fellow man,
18:25my ability
18:25to move my arm,
18:26every single
18:27familiar thing
18:27was gone.
18:28And he said,
18:28when every familiar
18:29thing is gone,
18:30you know,
18:31an absolutely
18:31bottomless terror
18:32because there's
18:35nothing to relate
18:35it to.
18:36Another man
18:37told me
18:38in another case,
18:39he said,
18:40you know,
18:40but I had
18:41two things
18:42happen to me
18:43terrible last year.
18:44He said,
18:45my father died
18:45after a long
18:46illness,
18:47and he said,
18:47I had a major
18:48setback in my
18:49career.
18:50And these were
18:51both very disturbing.
18:52But he said,
18:52I was kind of
18:53prepared for them.
18:54You sort of
18:55understand that
18:56it's going to
18:56happen and so
18:57forth.
18:58And he said,
19:00I could take
19:01them,
19:01but this
19:02experience,
19:03an abduction,
19:05he said,
19:05there was nothing
19:06in the world
19:07to prepare me
19:07for.
19:08I had no idea
19:09from moment
19:09to moment
19:10what was going
19:10to happen next.
19:11He said,
19:12with a mugger,
19:13if a guy has
19:14a gun on you
19:15and you're
19:15fishing for your
19:16wallet and
19:17trying not to
19:17look him in the
19:18eye to avoid
19:19that,
19:20you can at
19:21least,
19:21you hear the
19:21cars going by,
19:22you hope somebody
19:23might show up,
19:24and you know
19:24that if the
19:24mugger runs
19:25away in two
19:26minutes without
19:27having shot you,
19:28you're probably
19:28all right.
19:29You know
19:29certain things.
19:30He said,
19:31I had nothing
19:31to go on,
19:32not a single
19:33solitary thing.
19:33And that
19:34sense of
19:34unknown,
19:35that sense
19:35of profound
19:36terror,
19:37it was just
19:37beyond the
19:38pale.
19:39Now,
19:40one last thing
19:41and then I'm
19:41going to end
19:42this because I
19:42don't want to
19:43gone awfully late,
19:44but it's an
19:45interesting thing.
19:46There's something
19:46I call the
19:47skeleton key
19:47effect.
19:49And that is
19:49that when a
19:50person realizes
19:51that he or she
19:52has had these
19:52experiences,
19:54that knowledge
19:56unlocks a lot
19:58of strange
19:58behavior in that
19:59person's life
20:00that the person
20:01himself,
20:02herself,
20:02has never really
20:03understood why
20:05I have had
20:05such and such
20:06a peculiar
20:07terror about
20:09something or
20:09other,
20:10certain places
20:10or certain
20:11phobias or
20:12certain kinds
20:12of behavior.
20:13One man I
20:14was talking to
20:14about this
20:15the other day
20:15and I
20:16mentioned,
20:17somebody said
20:18they didn't
20:18like to be
20:18touched in
20:19a certain
20:19place,
20:20actually the
20:21region of
20:21the navel
20:22because there
20:23had been
20:23these needles
20:24inserted in
20:25the abdomen.
20:27And he
20:27said,
20:27isn't that
20:28funny?
20:29He said,
20:29the one
20:30thing I
20:30can't ever
20:31stand is
20:31somebody to
20:32touch me
20:32lightly like
20:33this.
20:34He said,
20:34I just
20:35totally fall
20:36apart.
20:36He said,
20:37I want a
20:38real touch
20:38but this
20:39just drives
20:40me nuts.
20:41And of
20:41course,
20:42he's remembering
20:42his little
20:43hands,
20:44these little
20:45strange fingers
20:45that have
20:46moved.
20:46There's a
20:48man who
20:48is a police
20:50officer and
20:51he told me
20:53that he had
20:54had this
20:54phobia about
20:55being terrified
20:56of spiders.
20:57He said,
20:57black widow
20:58spiders,
20:58I have just,
20:59he said,
20:59I've hated
21:00them and
21:00I've been
21:00afraid of
21:01them.
21:01And he
21:02said,
21:02that's my
21:02only phobia.
21:03And I
21:03said,
21:03well,
21:03a lot of
21:03people have
21:04phobias like
21:04that.
21:05And he
21:05said,
21:05well,
21:05I remember
21:05how this
21:06started.
21:06And I
21:07just asked
21:07him about
21:08phobias
21:08without
21:08necessarily
21:12connecting
21:12with UFOs.
21:14And I
21:14said,
21:14a lot of
21:15people have
21:15spider phobias.
21:16And he
21:17said,
21:17well,
21:17mine started
21:17when I
21:18was five
21:18years old.
21:19I was
21:19sleeping
21:19in my
21:20little bed
21:20right next
21:21to the
21:21window.
21:22I
21:22remember
21:22I
21:22woke up
21:23in the
21:23middle
21:23of the
21:23night and
21:30and he
21:31said,
21:31I was
21:31so scared
21:32and I
21:32pulled the
21:32blanket
21:33over my
21:33head and
21:33he said,
21:34I just
21:35huddled
21:35there and
21:35in the
21:36morning I
21:37just screamed
21:37from my
21:37mother and
21:38I asked
21:38her to
21:39take away
21:40the
21:40spider's
21:40nest.
21:41And she
21:42said,
21:42there's
21:42nothing
21:43there in
21:43the
21:43window.
21:44And he
21:45said,
21:45you know,
21:45there wasn't,
21:46there was
21:46nothing there,
21:46I couldn't
21:46figure it
21:47out.
21:47And he
21:48said,
21:48my mother
21:48explained,
21:49black
21:49widow
21:49spiders
21:49don't
21:50build
21:50nests in
21:51a sunlit
21:51area like
21:52a window,
21:52they go
21:52under
21:53porches
21:53and back
21:54under
21:54things.
21:55And he
21:56said,
21:56from that
21:57moment I
21:58developed this
21:58terrible fear
21:59of black
21:59widow
21:59spiders and
22:00I would
22:00go out
22:01looking for
22:01them to
22:03kill them.
22:04He said,
22:04I was scared
22:05of them but
22:05I wanted to
22:06kill them and
22:06I would get
22:07stones and
22:07I would go
22:07back under
22:08decks and
22:09places and
22:10I would
22:10find them and
22:11I would
22:11smash them.
22:13And he
22:14said,
22:14this went on
22:15for years.
22:15He said,
22:15this is a
22:16guy who had
22:18been involved
22:18in gun
22:19battles.
22:19He said,
22:20still to
22:20think of
22:20them scares
22:21me and I
22:22hate them.
22:23And I
22:24said,
22:24I don't
22:26understand this
22:27thing about
22:27this white
22:28nest,
22:29spider's nest.
22:31I'm thinking
22:31a great big
22:32open web.
22:33He said,
22:34it was just
22:34one of those
22:34white spider's
22:35nests and
22:36I'm thinking,
22:36I just don't
22:37know enough
22:37about spiders
22:38I guess,
22:38I didn't
22:39understand.
22:40He said,
22:40it was right
22:40in the corner
22:41of the window
22:41and I said,
22:42well,
22:42how many
22:43black widow
22:43spiders were
22:44in it?
22:44And he
22:45said,
22:45two.
22:45He said,
22:46they were
22:46very shiny
22:47and black.
22:48He said,
22:48they were just
22:48like this.
22:52And when
22:52he went
22:53like that,
22:53he looked
22:54at his
22:54hands and
22:55he did
22:55that.
22:56He just,
22:57it just hit
22:59him extremely
23:00powerfully.
23:01There's a man
23:02who was lifted
23:04up in a light
23:05beam as a
23:06little boy
23:06into a UFO,
23:08an abduction
23:08experience,
23:09a typical
23:09story.
23:11And he said,
23:12now as he
23:13explored this
23:14and got into
23:15it and other
23:15things,
23:15he said he
23:16remembered
23:16something that
23:17was extraordinarily
23:17upsetting to him
23:18when he was
23:19a little boy,
23:19sad to him,
23:21not upsetting.
23:22He said,
23:22the Venetian
23:23blinds were
23:23at a slant
23:24and this
23:25beautiful light
23:26beam,
23:27sun beam,
23:27was coming
23:28through the
23:28Venetian
23:28blinds.
23:29And he had
23:29a little toy
23:30soldier and
23:30he was quite
23:31small.
23:31This is right
23:32after this
23:32experience.
23:33He picked
23:33up the
23:33little toy
23:34soldier,
23:35held it in
23:35the light
23:36beam and
23:36let go and
23:37the thing
23:37fell to the
23:38floor.
23:39He couldn't
23:40figure it
23:40out.
23:40He was very
23:40upset.
23:41He picked
23:41it up and
23:41held it in
23:42the sun
23:43beam two
23:43or three
23:44times,
23:44let go,
23:45and each
23:45time of
23:45course it
23:46fell to
23:46the floor.
23:47And he
23:47went in
23:47crying to
23:48his mother
23:48that the
23:49beam wasn't
23:49holding the
23:50soldier.
23:51I couldn't
23:52understand why
23:52that would
23:53be.
23:53She had no
23:54idea why it
23:55should hold
23:55the soldier.
23:57He of
23:58course knew.
23:59This boy
23:59said that the
24:00first time he
24:01was taken
24:01around that
24:02time to a
24:03large office
24:03building where
24:04there was an
24:05elevator.
24:06He got in
24:06the elevator
24:06with his
24:07mother and
24:07he said,
24:08it's not
24:08going fast
24:09enough.
24:09It's too
24:10slow.
24:10It's not
24:11going fast
24:11enough.
24:12And she
24:12said,
24:12but you've
24:12never been on
24:13an elevator
24:15he said,
24:15I know,
24:15but they
24:15go faster
24:16than this.
24:17And then
24:18when the
24:18doors opened
24:18on the
24:1912th floor
24:19and he
24:20stepped out
24:20he said,
24:21we're still
24:21in the
24:21building.
24:24And she
24:24couldn't
24:25understand
24:25where all
24:26this was
24:26coming from.
24:27But the
24:27point is,
24:28this
24:28skeleton key
24:29effect,
24:30this is
24:30just a
24:31touching on
24:32the situation,
24:33it's usually
24:33much more
24:34profound
24:34than what
24:35I'm,
24:36these are
24:36little light
24:36examples.
24:37But it's
24:38as if people
24:39who had these
24:39experiences
24:40had been
24:40leading secret
24:41lives that
24:42they knew
24:43nothing about
24:43and if they
24:44had been
24:44abducted,
24:4510 or
24:4520 or
24:4630 times,
24:47they're
24:49conditioned
24:49by these
24:50experiences.
24:51We're
24:51working on
24:52ways in
24:53which they
24:53can begin
24:55to regain
24:56a sense
24:56of their
24:57own power
24:58to regain
24:58the illusion
24:59of control
24:59or something
25:00is very,
25:01very difficult.
25:01But the
25:02problem
25:03must be
25:04addressed.
25:05And in
25:06the meantime,
25:06we're in
25:07a position
25:07of,
25:08I'm in
25:08a position
25:08of working
25:10with people
25:11just to
25:13get them
25:14through the
25:14trauma
25:15and try
25:16to explore
25:16what's
25:16happened.
25:17And as I
25:18said earlier,
25:20my sense
25:20of myself
25:21is that I've
25:21been so busy
25:22in the
25:23emergency room
25:24running around
25:24with the
25:24band-aids
25:25and the
25:25tourniquets
25:26that I
25:26haven't had a
25:26chance to
25:27approach the
25:28public health
25:28issues that
25:29we really
25:29have to
25:30address to
25:32see what
25:33can be
25:33done.
25:33But it
25:34is a
25:34central,
25:35central
25:35problem
25:36right now.
25:37The abduction
25:37situation may
25:39involve hundreds
25:41and hundreds
25:41of thousands
25:42of people,
25:43maybe larger
25:44numbers than
25:44that.
25:48Thank you,
25:48Brad.
