A multi-vehicle crash that killed a one-year-old boy and injured eight others at the Bukit Kajang Toll Plaza on Saturday (Sept 27) is believed to have been caused by a lorry’s brake failure.

Kajang police chief Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said preliminary investigations found that the lorry, which was travelling from Semenyih towards Putrajaya, lost control due to faulty brakes before ramming into three vehicles waiting at the toll lanes.

01:06If convicted, the driver faces five to ten years imprisonment, a fine of up to RM50,000
