00:00Well, listen, the truth of the matter is the people that say that James Comey is lying is his inner circle team.
00:06It was Andy McCabe who said it first. It was James Baker that affirmed it in an interview with the Postal Inspection Service that we broke on your show a few weeks ago.
00:17And in that case, remember what James Baker said to the government.
00:21He said that James Comey authorized me to leak classified information to the news media to his chief of staff, James Ravicki.
00:27And we don't know yet what Ravicki's account is, but I suspect those three men are going to be the main state's witnesses against James Comey.
00:35It's not going to be a MAGA lawyer. It's not going to be a MAGA talk show host.
00:40It's going to be his own inner circle saying, yeah, he authorized us to leak. And yeah, he lied to Congress.
00:45So James Comey is going to face justice probably at the expense of his own inner circle who couldn't lie when confronted about what he had done with the leaking to the media.
00:54But the Taylor Swift thing, I have a little bit different take. I do find it extremely weird to have an FBI director talking about being a Swifty.
01:01But hey, everyone's entitled to their music. But I think there's something more cunning going on.
01:05I think you have to always calculate James Comey as being a calculating guy.
01:10He's going to need to raise a lot of money for his legal defense.
01:14He's about to undergo a really significant legal defense expense.
01:18I think he was setting up millennials and others to say, see me as a victim.
01:22I'm like one of you guys. And he doesn't like Taylor Swift.
01:25I think he's looking to hit that generation, the millennial generation for donations for a legal defense fund down the road.
01:31That may have been a calculated decision.
01:34He knew what was coming over the horizon.
01:36And he knows he's going to have to raise some money for his defense.
01:39And I think there's something a little bit more calculating in that than just being flat out weird.
