14:08simply waiting for the president to walk up those stairs, the president and the first lady,

14:11she of course is with him for this trip, waiting for him to walk up those stairs and then

14:16get going back across the pond, as they call it there in Britain. In fact, just hours ago,

14:22the commander in chief wrapping up a news conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer

14:26and earlier in the day, the two signed an economic cooperation agreement that's worth

14:31more than $100 billion. A majority of the investment will reportedly come from equity

14:37firm Blackstone over about 10 years. The British government reportedly expects the investment

14:42package to create some 7,600 high quality jobs in industries ranging from clean energy to life

14:49sciences. President Trump also using the shared stage with his British counterpart to share some

14:54breaking news about Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. We'll have more on that coming up in a little bit.

15:00In the meantime, House Republicans could begin debating the latest stopgap measure to keep

15:04funded through November 21st as soon as today. Wednesday, the measure cleared a test vote in

15:11the House, setting the stage for House Republicans to get the continuing resolution passed. While the

15:17GOP conference can move the CR to the Senate if it stays united, Senate Republicans will probably need

15:24some Democratic help in order to keep the government funded. Meantime, the House also voted down a measure

15:31on Wednesday that would have censored Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and stript her of

15:37committee assignments. Republican South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace raised the resolution over

15:44Representative Omar's recent comments related to Charlie Kerr's death. Republican Congress members Mike Flood of

15:50Nebraska, Tom McClintock of California, Jeff Hurd of Colorado, and Corey Mills of Florida joined Democrats in voting

15:57down the central resolution. While the foursome denounces Omar's comments, they agree what she said is

16:04protected by first by the First Amendment. That's a quick check of your headlines. I'm Terrence Bates.

16:28Welcome back, everyone. I'm Megan Kelly, sitting in Charlie's studio with some of his dear friends and

16:33staffers. And I don't know, you guys, today has a different feel for me. I've been listening all week

16:39with JD, the vice president, with the guys from Daily Wire, who I love with Glenn. And of course,

16:44we've been covering everything about Charlie since, you know, last week on my own show. And just being

16:50with you all, I feel better. I don't know. Like, today just seems like we're able to laugh a little

16:55like, it's not that people aren't in grieving, but it's a sign of mental well being that you can find a

17:01way to like, chuckle here and there. You know, I, I had my first laugh, actually, the other day,

17:07when my friend reminded me of my favorite exchange with Charlie, it was very funny. And it was actually

17:14it arose out of a time when Charlie was in trouble with the left for having said something that they

17:18thought was terrible. And I knew wasn't terrible. And it was part of his courage and saying something

17:23that everybody believes, but they would never say it out loud. It was about how they're so focused on

17:28hiring women and black pilots and minority pilots and going from 3% to 50, right? So there was a 50

17:36that we were going to have to worry about who the hell was flying the planes. Cause it was like,

17:40what do you mean? There's a black people only 13% of the population. How are we going to have 50%

17:44of them being pilots anyway? So Charlie said that. And then everybody said he was a racist,

17:48which was bull. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Which was bull. It happened. Nevermind. Of course I have it.

17:53Um, and hold on, let me find it here. He came on my show, January, 2024 and made the following point

18:00as only Charlie could sought 22. DEI invites unwholesome thinking. And I said, I don't,

18:08and I was saying in the clip, that's not who I am. That's not what I believe, but what it does

18:13is it makes us worse version of ourselves, Megan. That's the whole point of what I was saying

18:18is that I now look at everything through a hyper racialized diversity quota lens because of their

18:26massive insistence to try to hit these ridiculous racial hiring quotas, three to 4% of current pilots

18:34are blacks right now, three to 4%. And now they want to say, this is just a hiring class of candidates.

18:41Are there enough candidates to fill the 50% quota? And the other question should be asked is why is it a

18:47problem? Let's just ask the premise. Why is it a problem that 81% are white? And I just, I love the

18:53Axios guy. Well, white males are dominating the cockpit. Yeah. Those pesky safe flights are dominating

18:59our society, Megan. You know, all those, you know, all those 25 years of commercial airliners that have

19:07kept on, I mean, dominating as if like the white male is like oppressing us with, you know, their

19:14beautiful landings through turbulence and storms.

19:18You know, just because he said that at the end, I think one of a great little Charlie thing, every

19:23time a plane took off, he would say, Lord bless this flight, right? As it began to accelerate.

19:28And then when I joined, I would add Lord bless this landing. Cause I find that a pretty important

19:33part of it too. That helps. So tell us something about Charlie that we don't know.

19:36Oh man. Who's got one of those? Blake, Mikey. You know, I think we also have two, we have

19:41two new guest stars here. I want to tell everybody we have Daisy Phelps, uh, and we have Emma Kate

19:46Bartles and Emma Kate, you did Charlie's social media and Daisy, you seem like you did everything.

19:51Media director. I just kind of explained it as podcast media, digital media, sponsorship media,

19:57whatever Charlie said, did for Charlie. And now we'll continue doing for Erica and for turning

20:03point. We're all in it. Sorry. Yeah. What were you going to say? So I, one of the things Mikey and I

20:08agreed, we were really happy. He got to do, uh, you know, one of the things about Charlie is he was

20:11so famous. He had no anonymity anymore in America and he actually really liked going out on walks.

20:17And so we were actually in Asia just the weekend before this happened and we were in Seoul and I'd been

20:25there a little bit early. I was going to a wedding for a friend of mine. And so when he got in, I was

20:30like, Charlie, the best way to understand the city, just kind of walk around and see how it's

20:33different. And so, you know, we were there, he got in on a Friday. And so I think, uh, Saturday

20:39morning, I, he just got up extremely early 5 30 AM and he just started walking around the streets of

20:45Seoul. And for once he got to just wander a city and he was just for most of the people there, he was

20:50just kind of this, this foreigner wandering around their city. He's tall for American standards.

20:54He would draw everyone's gaze. He would draw everyone's gaze, but you know, for once he

20:58could just wander a city as a traveler. And he really liked to do that.

21:01I didn't realize what a big walker he was.

21:03Big walker.

21:04Yeah.

21:04My version of tourism is you stop at a cafe, you eat, you keep walking, you stop, you shop.

21:09Charlie's is you just walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. And it was 90 degrees, 90% humidity.

21:14We're sweating through our suits and we're all like, what is he going to stop walking? Finally, he

21:20stopped at a coffee shop and we were like, okay, we're going to get like 10 minutes here. No.

21:24Two minutes, two minutes and we're back out in the heat.

21:26But like no vices, right? Like, did he even get the coffee or did he get the midnight tea?

21:30He got the mint tea.

21:32Yeah, the mint tea.

21:32Classic mint tea with two honeys.

21:34Which everyone's been getting now. There are so many outside of HQ people leave their

21:39mid majesty with two honeys.

21:41Did you see that story, Daisy, of the, they posted it on X. Somebody, an older woman, a grandmother

21:47went into a Starbucks and asked for that and they gave it to her and they wrote loser on it.

21:54Well, her family unleashed holy, you know what, on the Starbucks to the point where they were

22:01temporarily closed when the family went back to find accountability. It's amazing though. It's

22:06like the story's not about some loser who wrote loser, right? It's about people have had it.

22:11They're pushing back Charlie style because the confrontation was actually very polite, but it

22:16was like, you're not going to do this to us.

22:18Well, and what's funny is we had just at our student action summit in Florida, we did approve

22:23me wrong, which was kind of the first we'd done at one of our own events. So it was supposed

22:27to be more lighthearted. Pretty much everyone that's there loves Charlie is his supporter.

22:33And so most of the questions, some of them were like about the bears, the cubs, what if he likes

22:39waffles or pancakes, and then what his Starbucks order was, because we talked about it the other

22:43day, but he would have these cough drops all the time and people would think they were

22:46in. They were just cough drops. He had to have them for his throat. And then people would

22:50ask what his Starbucks drink was and everyone was guessing in the crowd. And Emma Kate posted

22:54that video and people, it went viral. They loved knowing what he had. They just love real stories

22:58of him right now.

22:59You're incredibly talented. Charlie's social media is next level. So I don't know how you

23:03manage that, but through the social media right now, people are reconnecting with him or connecting

23:07for the first time in like a really unprecedented, I've never seen anything like it.

23:11A hundred percent. I saw a TikTok this morning of somebody saying they tried to silence Charlie,

23:17but I hadn't really seen his videos or paid attention to them. He was like, now I'm going

23:21down a Charlie Kirk rabbit hole. I'm watching every video. I'm listening to every podcast.

23:24We all are.

23:25He was like, I can't believe I'm just now discovering this, but I feel so blessed that there's so

23:30much on the internet that even after his death, people are still getting to know him and love

23:36him.

23:36It's one of the few blessings around this thing is like all the hours of tape.

23:40I think I saw the same one where he was like, you guys made me obsessed with Charlie.

23:44I didn't even know him until this.

23:45Right. Now, speaking of obsessions, you two share one and Charlie tapped into it more than

23:50once. Tell us.

23:51Just any sort of Taylor Swift news that come up, he would just be like, explain this,

23:55what's happening? And then when we were in the office, when the news broke about them

23:59getting engaged and Charlie was so excited for them. He was like, this is amazing. More people

24:04should get married and have kids. This is a great example for everyone.

24:07So on brand.

24:08Like, yes, exactly. We're so happy for Taylor.

24:11Well, that's I have a question for about Charlie for you guys. So, I mean, he was human. There

24:15were there were people who would irritate him. I know because I talked to him about some of those

24:19people. Would he how would he handle that? Like Taylor is one of them. She came out and she

24:23endorsed Kamala. She said it was because of Kamala's LGBTQ stance of Tim Walsh actually was

24:28a crazy statements. So how would he get past that and then be like he seemed to be able to do that

24:35with everybody? I would say for the most part, instead of him getting irritated by people in

24:39pop culture, it more so just went to the side of him. And he wouldn't really pay attention to it

24:43until we'd be like, hey, this is I remember one time he's he's like, what is brat summer?

24:49Because everyone's talking about it. But like, it didn't annoy him because he didn't even know

24:51about it. He was just so focused on what he needed to do. Yes. So what we're leaning here is

24:57Charlie was a nerd. Yeah, there you go. Which is fine. You know, I mean, Andrew was telling me

25:02about how they like intentionally made him not nerdy for the prove me wrong segments, like maybe

25:07maybe we won't wear the suit. You know, maybe we'll wear a t shirt. And that worked, right? He

25:11gained a lot of extra fans. He still was pretty alpha. We got it. I think we can all agree.

25:16Well, it's an interesting combination. Yeah. He was a brainiac, but he was alpha. Yeah. And he was

25:20like the ultimate pinnacle example of what being a man is. And so being more like Charlie, he never

25:26drank alcohol. He'd go to the gym. He always ate healthy. He always had that Starbucks order. He

25:31always took care of his, you know, vocal cords with his throat coats and everything. The

25:34discipline. He was a disciplined alpha male. And when he had to tap into the nerdy side

25:40of him to learn something, he would tap into it. Well, how did he, so he didn't want you

25:43to go to college and you agreed not to. Yeah. And then did he put you through college?

25:47Yeah. Yeah. I think I learned more under Charlie, but I also, one of my favorite stories of Charlie

25:53since we're all just kind of going around, I literally, probably my favorites, we're at the

25:57RNC and JD had just come out on stage. And whether you guys know it or not, Charlie played

26:01a role in JD being the vice president. And, um, he comes out on stage. Charlie was so excited.

26:07He, we snuck on the floor. We didn't have a pass. We went to the very front. It was just

26:11me and Charlie. And JD says something about Joe Biden. And this was right after the debate

26:15and everybody was like, Joe's got to go, Joe's got to go, Joe's got to go. And Charlie turns

26:21around, looks at me in the cinematic way and he goes, careful what you wish for. And I was

26:26like, Oh my gosh. And then the next, I think a couple of days later, I don't even remember

26:30Kamala Harris's. Oh my gosh. I know. That summer was like crazy. Yeah. More fundraising,

26:36more battles. Yeah. More pain. Right. He, Charlie was very funny and he had so many funny one-liners

26:44where he almost, he wasn't trying to be funny, but it was just those quick little ones. Like I can

26:50remember on Juneteenth this year, he sent us a video. He said, I can't remember exactly

26:57what he said. He said, happy Juneteenth. I'm on my way to work, go to work today. Everybody

27:03have a good day. You did not take off that national holiday. No, we did not. We were here

27:08working, but it was just those funny little selfie videos. He would always send in our chats

27:14where most of them would get posted on TikTok or stories or whatever. Like what? Like he would

27:20send videos of himself to the team? Just selfie videos, just doing little quick commentary on

27:25whatever was happening or just telling a story or giving updates. And it was always those really

27:30short ones that I loved the most because they were just so funny without trying to be funny and

27:35people loved them. That's hilarious. So it wasn't necessarily for social media, but it was like for

27:39all of you. Yeah. And we, we would post them a good amount, but it was just, you know, it was just

27:44kind of a little bit of behind the scenes, Charlie that, you know, people love to see it.

27:49A really fun behind the scenes, Charlie. So he was a sports fan and the way he would consume

27:54it had to be very intense because he doesn't have, you know, other than Saturday, you know,

27:58which he always was strict about taking off, you know, he didn't have the time to just lounge

28:03around watching the game. So the one I'll always remember is shortly after I joined, we, you know,

28:09we had the world cup in Qatar and he was all invested in the U S doing well. And so he was

28:15watching the world cup games on his phone during the show and was reacting to things in the game

28:22during the segments. He'd also always have the iPad with him. He always had an iPad with him and he

28:27was always watching sports on the side. So the Cubs, Erica mentioned the Cubs and did she say the

28:32Ducks? Big Ducks fan. We have a flag that we had in the studio for a while. Why? It's where his

28:38family went to college and he wanted to inherit a college football team and it was his, he was so

28:44passionate. He would sometimes say, you know, I, I just want to retire and go coach college

28:48football. That was what he would say if he was frustrated and like, I should just quit and go

28:51coach college football. Same with the Olympics and March Madness. We had an iPad set up all around

28:56the studio. So he would constantly know what's happening in the games. Once you've been president,

29:00coaching a sports team seems like a great thing. And that was clearly in Charlie's future.
