00:00Terence Bates here with your Real America's Voice Newsbreak.
00:07We appreciate you being here with us.
00:08President Trump about to head home to the White House
00:11after wrapping up his royal state visit in England.
00:14As you can see, Air Force One is on the tarmac there in England.
00:17It is gassed up and ready to go,
00:19simply waiting for the president to walk up those stairs.
00:21The president and the first lady, she of course is with him for this trip,
00:26waiting for him to walk up those stairs and then get going back across the pond,
00:31as they call it there in Britain.
00:32In fact, just hours ago, the commander-in-chief wrapping up a news conference
00:36with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
00:38And earlier in the day, the two signed an economic cooperation agreement
00:42that's worth more than $100 billion.
00:45A majority of the investment would reportedly come from equity firm Blackstone
00:49over about 10 years.
00:51The British government reportedly expects the investment package
00:54to create some 7,600 high-quality jobs in industries,
00:58ranging from clean energy to life sciences.
01:01President Trump also using the shared stage with his British counterpart
01:05to share some breaking news about Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.
01:09We'll have more on that coming up in a little bit.
01:11In the meantime, House Republicans could begin debating
01:14the latest stopgap measure to keep the government funded
01:17through November 21st, as soon as today.
01:20Wednesday, the measure cleared a test vote in the House,
01:23setting the stage for House Republicans to get the continuing resolution passed.
01:27While the GOP conference can move the CR to the Senate if it stays united,
01:34Senate Republicans will probably need some Democratic help
01:37in order to keep the government funded.
01:40Meantime, the House also voted down a measure on Wednesday
01:43that would have censored Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota
01:48and stript her of committee assignments.
01:50Republican South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace raised the resolution
01:55over Representative Omar's recent comments related to Charlie Kersh's death.
02:00Republican Congressmembers Mike Flood of Nebraska,
02:03Tom McClintock of California,
02:05Jeff Hurd of Colorado,
02:06and Corey Mills of Florida
02:08joined Democrats in voting down the central resolution.
02:11While the foursome denounces Omar's comments,
02:14they agree what she said is protected by the First Amendment.
02:19That's a quick check of your headlines.
02:20I'm Terrence Bates.
02:21This movement will not be silenced.
02:36You're listening to The Charlie Kirk Show.
02:39Welcome back, everyone.
02:40I'm Megan Kelly sitting in Charlie's studio
02:43with some of his dear friends and staffers.
02:46And I don't know, you guys.
02:48Today has a different feel for me.
02:49I've been listening all week with J.D., the vice president,
02:52with the guys from Daily Wire, who I love, with Glenn.
02:55And, of course, we've been covering everything about Charlie
02:57since last week on my own show.
03:01And just being with you all, I feel better.
03:03I don't know.
03:04Today just seems like we're able to laugh a little.
03:08It's not that people aren't in grieving,
03:10but it's a sign of mental well-being
03:12that you can find a way to chuckle here and there.
03:15You know, I had my first laugh, actually, the other day
03:19when my friend reminded me of my favorite exchange with Charlie.
03:23It was very funny.
03:25And it was actually, it arose out of a time
03:27when Charlie was in trouble with the left
03:28for having said something that they thought was terrible
03:30and I knew wasn't terrible.
03:32And it was part of his courage
03:33in saying something that everybody believes,
03:36but they would never say it out loud.
03:37It was about how they were so focused on hiring women
03:40and black pilots and minority pilots
03:42and going from 3% to 50, right?
03:463% to 50, that we were going to have to worry about
03:49who the hell was flying the planes.
03:51Because it was like, what do you mean?
03:52There's black people only 13% of the population.
03:54How are we going to have 50% of them being pilots?
03:57Anyway, so Charlie said that
03:58and then everybody said he was a racist, which was bull.
04:01Oh, sorry, sorry, which was bull.
04:02It happened.
04:03Never mind.
04:03Of course I have it.
04:04Um, and hold on, let me find it here.
04:08He came on my show, January, 2024
04:09and made the following point as only Charlie could sought 22.
04:15DEI invites unwholesome thinking.
04:19And I said, I don't, and I was saying in the clip,
04:21that's not who I am.
04:22That's not what I believe,
04:23but what it does is it makes us worse version of ourselves.
04:28Megan, that's the whole point of what I was saying
04:30is that I now look at everything
04:32through a hyper-racialized diversity quota lens
04:36because of their massive insistence
04:39to try to hit these ridiculous racial hiring quotas.
04:43Three to 4% of current pilots are blacks right now.
04:48Three to 4%.
04:49And now they want to say,
04:50this is just a hiring class of candidates.
04:52Are there enough candidates to fill the 50% quota?
04:55And the other question should be asked is,
04:58why is it a problem?
04:59Let's just ask the premise.
05:00Why is it a problem that 81% are white?
05:03And I just, I love the Axios guy.
05:06Well, white males are dominating the cockpit.
05:08Yeah, those pesky safe flights
05:10are dominating our society, Megan.
05:12You know, all those, you know,
05:14all those 25 years of commercial airliners
05:18that have kept on, I mean, dominating
05:20as if like the white male is like oppressing us
05:24with, you know, their beautiful landings
05:27through turbulence and storms.
05:30You know, just because he said that at the end,
05:32I think one of, a great little Charlie thing,
05:34every time a plane took off,
05:36he would say, Lord bless this flight,
05:38right as it began to accelerate.
05:40And then when I joined,
05:41I would add, Lord bless this landing
05:43because I find that a pretty important part of it too.
05:45So tell us something about Charlie that we don't know.
05:48Oh, man.
05:49Who's got one of those?
05:50Blake, Mikey?
05:51You know, I think-
05:51We also have two, we have two new guest stars here.
05:54Mikey and I-
05:54I want to tell everybody,
05:55we have Daisy Phelps and we have Emma K. Bartles.
05:58And Emma K., you did Charlie's social media.
06:01And Daisy, you seem like you did everything.
06:03Media director.
06:04I just kind of explained it as podcast media,
06:07digital media, sponsorship media,
06:09whatever Charlie said.
06:11Did for Charlie and now will continue doing
06:13for Erica and for Turning Point.
06:15Yes, ma'am. We're all in it.
06:16Sorry, yeah.
06:16What were you going to say?
06:17So one of the things,
06:19Mikey and I agreed,
06:20we were really happy he got to do.
06:22You know, one of the things about Charlie
06:23is he was so famous.
06:24He had no anonymity anymore in America.
06:26And he actually really liked going out on walks.
06:29And so we were actually in Asia
06:31just the weekend before this happened.
06:34And we were in Seoul.
06:36And I'd been there a little bit early.
06:38I was going to a wedding for a friend of mine.
06:40And so when he got in,
06:41I was like,
06:42Charlie, the best way to understand the city,
06:43just kind of walk around
06:44and see how it's different.
06:45And so, you know, we were there.
06:48He got in on a Friday.
06:49And so I think Saturday morning,
06:51he just got up extremely early, 5.30 a.m.
06:54And he just started walking around the streets of Seoul.
06:57And for once, he got to just wander a city.
06:59And he was just,
07:00for most of the people there,
07:01he was just kind of this foreigner
07:02wandering around their city.
07:04I mean, he was so tall.
07:04He's tall for an American standpoint.
07:05He would draw everyone's gaze.
07:07He would draw everyone's gaze.
07:08But, you know, for once,
07:09he could just wander a city as a traveler.
07:11And he really liked to do that.
07:13I didn't realize what a big walker he was.
07:15Big walker.
07:15Yeah.
07:16My version of tourism is you stop at a cafe,
07:18you eat, you keep walking,
07:19you stop, you shop.
07:21Charlie's is you just walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk.
07:23And it was 90 degrees, 90% humidity.
07:26We're sweating through our suits.
07:27And we're all like,
07:28what is he going to stop walking?
07:31Finally, he stopped at a coffee shop.
07:33And we were like,
07:34okay, we're going to get like 10 minutes here.
07:35No, two minutes,
07:36two minutes,
07:37and we're back out in the heat.
07:38But like no vices, right?
07:39Like, did he even get the coffee
07:40or did he get the midnight tea?
07:42He got the mint tea.
07:43Yeah, the mint tea.
07:44Classic mint tea with two honeys.
07:45Which everyone's been getting now.
07:48There are so many outside of HQ people
07:50leave their mid majesty with two honeys.
07:53Did you see that story, Daisy?
07:54Of the,
07:55they posted it on X.
07:57Somebody,
07:57an older woman,
07:58a grandmother went into a Starbucks
08:00and asked for that.
08:01and they gave it to her
08:03and they wrote loser on it.
08:06Well, her family unleashed holy,
08:09you know what,
08:10on the Starbucks
08:12to the point where
08:13they were temporarily closed
08:14when the family went back
08:15to find accountability.
08:16It's amazing though.
08:17It's like the story's not about
08:18some loser who wrote loser, right?
08:20It's about people have had it.
08:22They're pushing back.
08:24Charlie style,
08:25because the confrontation
08:25was actually very polite,
08:27but it was like,
08:28you're not going to do this to us.
08:30Well, and what's funny
08:31is we had just,
08:32at our student action summit
08:33in Florida,
08:34we did approve me wrong,
08:36which was kind of the first
08:36we'd done it
08:37at one of our own events.
08:38So it was supposed to be
08:39more lighthearted.
08:41Pretty much everyone that's there
08:42loves Charlie,
08:43is his supporter.
08:44And so most of the questions,
08:46some of them were,
08:47like about the bears,
08:49the cubs,
08:50what,
08:50if he likes waffles or pancakes,
08:52and then what his Starbucks order was.
08:53Because we talked about it
08:54the other day,
08:55but he would have these cough drops
08:56all the time
08:57and people would think
08:57they were zen.
08:58They were just cough drops.
08:59He had to have them
09:00for his throat
09:01and then people would ask
09:02what his Starbucks drink was
09:02and everyone was guessing
09:03in the crowd
09:04and Emma Kate posted that video
09:06and people,
09:07it went viral.
09:08They loved knowing what he had.
09:09They just love real stories
09:10of him right now.
09:10You're incredibly talented.
09:11Charlie's social media
09:12is next level.
09:13So I don't know
09:13how you manage that.
09:15But through the social media
09:16right now,
09:17people are reconnecting with him
09:18or connecting for the first time
09:19in like a really unprecedented,
09:21I've never seen anything like it.
09:22A hundred percent.
09:23I saw a TikTok this morning
09:24of somebody saying
09:26they tried to silence Charlie,
09:28but I hadn't really seen his videos
09:30or paid attention to them.
09:32He was like,
09:32now I'm going down
09:33a Charlie Kirk rabbit hole.
09:34I'm watching every video.
09:35I'm listening to every podcast.
09:36We all are.
09:37He was like,
09:38I can't believe
09:38I'm just now discovering this,
09:40but I feel so blessed
09:41that there's so much on the internet
09:43that even after his death,
09:45people are still getting to know him
09:47and love him.
09:48It's one of the few blessings
09:49around this thing
09:50is like all the hours of tape.
09:52I think I saw the same one
09:53where he was like,
09:53you guys made me obsessed with Charlie.
09:55I didn't even know him until this.
09:57Right.
09:57Now, speaking of obsessions,
09:59you two share one
10:00and Charlie tapped into it
10:01more than once.
10:02Tell us.
10:02Just any sort of Taylor Swift news
10:04that come up,
10:05he would just be like,
10:06explain this,
10:07what's happening?
10:07And then when we were in the office
10:09when the news broke about
10:10them getting engaged
10:11and Charlie was so excited for them.
10:14He was like,
10:14this is amazing.
10:15More people should get married
10:16and have kids.
10:17This is a great example
10:18for everyone.
10:19So on brand.
10:20Yes, exactly.
10:21We're so happy for Taylor.
10:22Well, that's I have a question
10:23for about Charlie for you guys.
10:25So, I mean, he was human.
10:27There were there were people
10:27who would irritate him.
10:29I know because I talked to him
10:30about some of those people.
10:31Would he how would he handle that?
10:33Like Taylor is one of them.
10:34She came out
10:35and she endorsed Kamala.
10:36She said it was because
10:37of Kamala's LGBTQ stance
10:39of Tim Walsh actually
10:40was I mean, crazy statements.
10:42So how would he get past that
10:43and then be like he seemed
10:45to be able to do that
10:46with everybody?
10:47I would say for the most part
10:48instead of him getting
10:49irritated by people
10:50in pop culture
10:51and more so just went
10:52to the side of him
10:53and he wouldn't really
10:54pay attention to it
10:55until we'd be like,
10:56hey, this is I remember
10:57one time he's out.
10:59He's like, what is Brat Summer?
11:00Because everyone's talking
11:01about it.
11:01But like it didn't annoy him
11:02because he didn't even
11:03know about it.
11:03He was just so focused
11:04on what he needed to do.
11:06Yes.
11:07So what we're leaning here
11:08is Charlie was a nerd.
11:10Yeah.
11:10Yeah.
11:10There you go.
11:11Which is fine.
11:12Andrew was telling me
11:13about how they intentionally
11:15made him not nerdy
11:16for the Prove Me Wrong
11:17segments like maybe
11:18we won't wear the suit.
11:20Maybe we'll wear a t-shirt.
11:22And that worked, right?
11:23He gained a lot of extra fans.
11:24He still was pretty alpha.
11:26I think we can all agree.
11:28It was an interesting
11:28combination, right?
11:29Because he was a brainiac
11:30but he was alpha.
11:31Yeah.
11:31And he was like the ultimate
11:32pinnacle example
11:33of what being a man is.
11:35And so being more like Charlie,
11:37he would never drink alcohol.
11:39He'd go to the gym.
11:40He always ate healthy.
11:41He always had that
11:42Starbucks order.
11:43He always took care of his
11:44vocal cords with his throat coats
11:46and everything.
11:46The discipline.
11:47He was a disciplined alpha male.
11:49And when he had to tap
11:50into the nerdy side of him
11:51to learn something,
11:52he would tap into it.
11:53Well, how did he...
11:54So he didn't want you
11:54to go to college
11:55and you agreed not to.
11:57And then did he put you
11:58through college?
11:59Yeah.
11:59Yeah.
12:00I think I learned more
12:01under Charlie.
12:02But I also...
12:03One of my favorite stories
12:04of Charlie
12:04since we're all just
12:05kind of going around.
12:06Literally,
12:07probably my favorite
12:08is we're at the RNC
12:09and JD had just come out
12:10on stage
12:11and whether you guys
12:11know it or not,
12:12Charlie played a role
12:13in JD being the vice president.
12:15And he comes out on stage.
12:17Charlie was so excited.
12:19We snuck on the floor.
12:20We didn't have a pass.
12:21We went to the very front.
12:22It was just me and Charlie.
12:23And JD says something
12:24about Joe Biden
12:25and this was right
12:26after the debate.
12:27And everybody was like,
12:28Joe's got to go.
12:29Joe's got to go.
12:31Joe's got to go.
12:31and Charlie turns around
12:33and looks at me
12:33in this cinematic way
12:34and he goes,
12:35careful what you wish for.
12:37And I was like,
12:38oh my gosh.
12:39And then the next,
12:40I think a couple days later,
12:41I don't even remember,
12:42Kamala Harris is...
12:43Oh my gosh.
12:44That summer was like crazy.
12:46More fundraising,
12:47more battles,
12:48more pain.
12:49Right.
12:50Charlie was very funny
12:52and he had
12:53so many funny
12:54one-liners
12:55where he almost,
12:56he wasn't trying to be funny,
12:58but it was just
12:59those quick little ones
13:01like I can remember
13:01on Juneteenth this year,
13:03he sent us a video.
13:06He said,
13:07I can't remember
13:08exactly what he said.
13:09he said,
13:10happy Juneteenth.
13:12I'm on my way to work.
13:14Go to work today.
13:15Everybody have a good day.
13:16You did not take off
13:18that national holiday.
13:19No, we did not.
13:19We were here working,
13:20but it was just
13:21those funny little
13:22selfie videos
13:23he would always send
13:25in our chats
13:26where most of them
13:27would get posted
13:27on TikTok
13:28or stories or whatever.
13:30Like what?
13:31Like he would send
13:32videos of himself
13:33to the team?
13:33Just selfie videos,
13:34just doing little
13:35quick commentary
13:36on whatever was happening
13:37or just telling a story
13:39or giving updates.
13:41And it was always
13:41those really short ones
13:42that I loved the most
13:43because they were
13:44just so funny
13:44without trying to be funny
13:46and people loved them.
13:47That's hilarious.
13:48So it wasn't necessarily
13:49for social media,
13:49but it was like
13:50for all of you.
13:51Yeah, and we would
13:52post them a good amount,
13:53but it was just,
13:54you know,
13:55it was just kind of
13:56a little bit
13:57of behind the scenes Charlie
13:58that, you know,
14:00people loved to see it.
14:01A really fun
14:02behind the scenes Charlie.
14:03So he was a sports fan
14:04and the way he would
14:05consume it
14:06had to be very intense
14:07because he doesn't have,
14:08other than Saturday,
14:10which he always was strict
14:11about taking off,
14:12you know,
14:12he didn't have the time
14:13to just lounge around
14:14watching a game.
14:15So the one I'll always remember
14:17is shortly after I joined,
14:20we had the World Cup
14:21in Qatar
14:22and he was all invested
14:24in the U.S.
14:24doing well.
14:26And so he was watching
14:27the World Cup games
14:29on his phone
14:30during the show
14:31and was reacting
14:33to things in the game
14:34during the segments.
14:35He'd also always
