00:00Okay, here's some more update.
00:04It's been about a week since the last time and I'm not sure where I left off.
00:08But anyway, I did get part of an air filter housing.
00:15Still haven't found the other part here.
00:19What else was it?
00:20The original vacuum fuel pump right there was not working.
00:25I had this electric fuel pump that I put on.
00:32Just ran a line and that goes to the carburetor.
00:38This air comes over to a connection in here that when you turn the key on, it'll start working.
00:45You can see it plugged off the vacuum line that went to the fuel pump.
00:50And it now will fire up and run and kind of drive.
00:57However, it is doing some surging where it doesn't run at a smooth, steady speed.
01:06Kind of revs up and back, revs up and back.
01:08And I think it has something to do with the governor linkage down here out of adjustment.
01:15I really have no idea how to fix that because I haven't researched it enough.
01:20But anyway, I'll fire it up and I'll show you running around in the yard that it does work.

01:57Alright, do a little drive here.
02:27I'm not sure if it's picking it up on camera, but it's kind of surging back and forth there,
02:47so, and I'll step on it.
02:57And it is running in the way.
03:17So there's definitely something wrong with the governor linkage, because it rubs up,
03:25then it slows down, rubs up, slows down, kind of surging.
03:29But otherwise, got that on there.
03:37It does run and drive.
03:40I just need to figure out the governor on it, do some more research on it, I guess,
03:49and see what I can figure out with it.
03:52But anyway, there's a quick update to it, and when I figure out what's wrong with it,
03:59I will update again.
04:03Another little update.
04:04I do believe I figured out what was causing the surging.
04:08I thought it was the governor, but it turns out it wasn't that.
04:14Instead, it was actually this rear pulley.
04:18I did some research, and it turns out that this spring in here, if that is not very tight,
04:31these sheaves, when they come apart, it comes apart real easy.
04:37And that's what was happening when the clutch was grabbing it.
04:41It was letting that come apart real quick, easy.
04:45And then it slid back in, and it kept going back and forth like that.
04:48That's what was causing the surging.
04:51So what I did, I took it off.
04:54We took this little C-clip down here off.
04:58Gave this, what they call a helix, I think it's what it's called.
05:03I gave this about a half a turn, put it back on.
05:07Which, that in turn, tightened up the spring.
05:11So now, when this sheaves come apart, it takes more force to pull this one apart.
05:19Which, it grabs the belt tighter, and now it does it surge back and forth like that.
05:26So if anybody else is having that problem, check your driven pulley back here.
05:33And from what I found out, this one mainly keeps tension on the belt.
05:42And it works with the tension on this one.
05:45And if they're not the same, then it kind of grabs and then releases, grabs and releases,
05:52and that's what causes surging back and forth.
05:55So anyway, there's that.
05:58I'm still looking for the front part of the air cleaner housing.
06:04Um, I believe that's about all I need to do as far as driving it.
06:16And, I have to get the hose that goes from here so that you can choke it when it's called.
06:23But anyway,
06:25Need to do something about the paint.
06:31It looks like crap.
06:33But anyway, there you go.
