The ongoing internal restructuring at the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) will pave the way for a fairer and more transparent ecosystem for the local film industry, says Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

00:00Let's talk about the development of Finas.
00:30but maybe it is the culture that there has been for this time.
00:34And really the process is going to happen.
00:39I haven't studied everything from what Dr. Aflin said from the FDAM.
00:46But that is really the courage that we try to make it
00:51or even the courage that we have in the court,
00:55especially in the Kementerian Komunikasi,
00:57so we have to make it a lot.
01:01A lot of organizations,
01:04when individuals,
01:07individual,
01:08staff have been too long in one place,
01:13many times have been created
01:16that may not be so nice by industry,
01:20not just film,
01:22but also with various other sectors.
01:26So,
01:27that's why,
01:28among other things,
01:29I have to ask that
01:31the government,
01:33for example,
01:34who does the permohonan
01:36that will be separated.
01:38So,
01:39this is what I have given to the FDAM.
01:41But it is for the permohonan,
01:44not only issues,
01:46and some other things.
01:48So,
01:49the process of cleaning is actually
01:52still running.
