00:17traditional brokers or even indirect exposure through stocks and ETFs.

00:28This is what this video is all about.
00:31I'll be really taking you through a step-by-step process of how to do it.
00:35First, you need to obviously choose the right platform.
00:37If you want, you can select an FCA registered exchange like Coinbase or Kraken or an investment app like eToro or IG.
00:45You open an account, provide proof of identity, pass the AML, checks and deposit your British pound.
00:52Most platforms accept bank transfers or debit cards.
00:56Some allow PayPal.
00:57If you buy Bitcoin, you can purchase a fraction or an entire one that decides your storage.
01:03If you want to keep your BTC on the exchange or if you want to hold it in self-custody or on a hot wallet, you do that.
01:11So if you think about the platforms that are available in the UK.
01:13So let's see, you've got eToro, which is a broker, dealer, has about 120 cryptos available.
01:21Fees are about 1%.
01:23FCA registered, good for beginners.
01:25Social trading features are available.
01:27Coinbase also 150 cryptos available.
01:31Fees tend to be a bit high, 3.5%.
01:33It is registered, ease of use, obviously global reputation.
01:37Interactive brokers, 8 cryptos are available, 0.12% to 0.18%.

02:07Risk or rewards, if you are really looking for the upside here, you know, Bitcoin is really getting adopted by institutions,
02:17but it does also have dramatic bear markets.
02:21So this is always something to think about.
02:22So the different ways to buy Bitcoin in the UK, crypto exchanges, right, Kraken, Coinbase, like we've discussed,
02:29investment platforms like eToro or interactive brokers, where you can trade Bitcoin alongside stocks and funds.
02:37And Bitcoin stocks or ETFs are also now available if you buy strategy shares, for example, iShares, Bitcoin ETF.
02:46If you want to do contract for difference, spread bets is well restricted to professionals, high risk leverage also.
02:54So, you know, pretty much Bitcoin, crypto is regulated in the UK, of course, not kind of the most regulatory friendly region.
03:04I mean, there's a lot of on and off ramps that just in so much red tape regulation wise.
