Dubai - Crypto Adoption Hotspot to Create 40K Metaverse Jobs

00:00While everybody's screaming crypto winter, we're looking at other areas of the world really taking

00:06progressive steps to ramp up efforts in sort of promoting crypto adoption. It is said that

00:14Dubai is planning to actually offer sort of 40,000 virtual jobs and you know to really dedicate that

00:26to the metaverse economy and to add about 4 billion to the city's economy in the next five years. So the

00:36launch of the Dubai metaverse strategy was aimed at fostering innovation in the technology. Crown

00:43Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said this on his verified Twitter handle and the Emirati state is

00:52obviously home to over 1,000 companies operating in the metaverse in the blockchain sector and

00:58contributing some 500 million dollars to the national economy. The strategy is indeed sort of

01:05said to be aimed at increasing the number of blockchain and metaverse companies in the next

01:11five years. Yeah there's somebody with a chopper out there it's just really loud apologies for that but

01:18Dubai also aims to develop the metaverse use cases and applications for its own government

01:24cultivating talent for the industry through education and training and they are also attracting

01:31many crypto exchanges because of their favorable regulatory environment for faster approvals of

01:39licenses and I think you know we're starting to see a lot of our countries in Europe as well

01:44starting to compete. Italy has given a lot of licenses in the last couple of days already to

01:51several companies allowing the likes of our Coinbase etc to operate in that region and I think you know

01:58this is just a faster acceleration of what we're seeing in sort of this industry and you know with

02:05the market starting to look as though it's recovering or we might have actually reached the actual

02:11bottom obviously we're still going to see a lot of sort of volatility because it's still coming out

02:19that a lot of our companies in the space are still sort of struggling but at the end of the day

02:25this is not slowing down the rate at which this industry is growing and I just predict that it's only

02:34going to get better bigger faster and stronger and your best just stay in tune with everything
