There’s nothing better than getting to live out a childhood dream, and Miranda has definitely got us beat with getting to foster cute animals. In this video, Miranda Cosgrove tells us about her passion for fostering cats that she started doing 5 years ago—currently four, but once as many as sixteen.

00:00Something that young Miranda would be surprised that I'm doing now, not really surprised, but like proud of, would be I foster a lot of cats.

00:10Like, an obscene amount of cats.

00:13So the most I've ever fostered at once was 16, but right now I have four.

00:20I started fostering about five years ago, and it was actually my dream when I was a little kid.

00:26I used to have a treehouse in my backyard, and my friend and I turned it into a pretend animal shelter.

00:34We'd go steal other people's cats in the neighborhood, and we'd put them in the treehouse for like an hour, and then we'd take them back.

00:44And eventually some of the neighbors figured it out, and were like, you have to stop taking our cats.

00:49You can pet them, but you can't take them for an hour.

00:52So this is kind of like my childhood dream come to life.
