00:07:22And she began dreaming the life she wanted a long time ago.

00:07:26From Houston, Texas, here's Jessica Bancher.

00:07:32It's so crazy.

00:07:3420 years ago, that girl had no idea

00:07:37that we would be here nine months pregnant.

00:07:39The journey ends now.

00:07:41Being eliminated, I was devastated.

00:07:43I was just like so ready to be a star.

00:07:46But being so young, I struggled in the industry,

00:07:50chasing after the big dream.

00:07:52I felt really defeated for a very, very long time.

00:07:55And so I quit music, really.

00:07:57I spent time with family and my husband.

00:08:00That really helped me to know who I am.

00:08:02And I was like, okay, I think I'm ready.

00:08:04I want to give the dream one more shot.

00:08:06And then four or five days later,

00:08:08I found out that I'm pregnant.

00:08:10And I'm like, what am I going to do?

00:08:12She's a little nervous right now.

00:08:12Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:08:13Do you want to have a quick child?

00:08:14But I told myself I wanted to do this.

00:08:16You can do it.

00:08:18I'm really happy that I got on that stage

00:08:19and I gave it everything that I got.

00:08:21That was spectacular.

00:08:23There is something special about it.

00:08:26And now I am about to step on the finale stage.

00:08:31And my baby girl is going to be there with me.

00:08:34And who knows what could happen?

00:08:36Because honestly, she's been, I feel like,

00:08:38kicking the notes out of me.

00:08:40I'm really sharing the stage with my daughter.

00:08:44I cannot wait to meet her and hopefully say to her,

00:21:15behind the scenes and you're just really nice people and that honestly deserves

00:23:16growing up I wanted so desperately to fit in to be like everybody else but I'm not

00:23:22that I could never be that but it's hard to be a dreamer look at her she works at

00:23:28the YMCA I've come a long way since writing raps on my lunch break it's just

00:23:33because sometimes you need that extra permission to be who I am

00:23:40dang look at that y'all got the good clips can you write something for me

00:23:47yes I would love that getting the golden buzzer from Mel B was a full circle moment because

00:23:53growing up as a little girl with crazy hair I'd pretend to be her she gave me permission

00:45:16A lot of kids in Chicago, they struggle with a lot of different things. Poverty, broken homes.

00:45:21A lot of kids don't necessarily grow up with their parents, you know.

00:45:23And me personally, like, I lost my mind when I was 11.

00:45:28And choir is what made me want to come to school every day.

00:45:31Whatever I'd be going through, every time I project my voice, you know, the music hit my ears.

00:45:35It was always a change in my mood.

00:45:38You so deserve this because of your talent, your friendship.

00:45:48We're definitely stepping away from this knowing that we've evolved so much.

01:08:40Because as a dance crew, to be on AGT is like the highest goal that you can achieve

01:08:46That deserves about 4,000 yeses, which is what you got

01:08:52When I was a teenager, dancing allowed me to be myself and to be someone

01:08:56I had ideas, I had visions, and I can live them through my dancing

01:09:01Now I'm passing it to the next generation

01:09:04I was looking for an act that could possibly win this whole thing

01:15:11Well, I'm from small town Hopkins.

01:15:14We have a population of maybe like 1900.

01:15:17It's mostly farmlands.

01:15:19Some might have hogs.

01:15:21Some might got dogs, you know.

01:15:23At six years old, I was playing lead guitar in my dad's church.

01:15:28My parents only envisioned me playing in church.

01:15:30So when I started playing rock and roll, they thought it was crazy.

01:15:34Especially my daddy.

01:15:35We got into it plenty of times.

01:15:37He asked me one day, boy, you think you're going to make a million dollars in the studio?

01:15:41I was like, this boy is delusional.

01:15:44The early days were rough.

01:15:46Playing to small crowds in Columbia.

01:15:48I ended up back on the farm.

01:15:50I didn't know what I was going to do.

01:15:52But if you fall off, you got to get up and get back on the horse.

01:15:57So, I've been thrown off a few different times, but I never gave up.

01:16:01I always get back on and ride.

01:16:03You are a superstar!

01:16:08Unbelievable.

01:16:10That was probably the biggest moment of my life.

01:16:12The Golden Buzzard boosted my morale, you know.

01:16:15And it really gave me the confidence to know that I can do this for a living.

01:16:19And I don't have to go back to scooping no time soon.
