00:00Latvian President Edgars Rinkević has urged Hungary and Slovakia to listen to Trump,
00:05who is calling on European countries to stop importing Russian gas and oil.
00:08Speaking to Euronews in New York, Rinkević said they were already in a hybrid war with Russia.
00:14President Trump was very clear.
00:16And actually he was also calling to all NATO allies to stop buying oil and gas from Russia.
00:23I think that this is probably the clearest support for Ukraine that any country can actually render.
00:31And when it comes to the coalition of the willy and the security guarantees, do you think Trump is already there?
00:36If we decide to provide security guarantees, if we decide to send troops on the ground, we need U.S. support there.
00:46Not probably U.S. troops on the ground, but logistical support, intelligence support, other kind of support.
00:53What do you think something that could be strategic for Ukraine having now that the EU should push, for example, to deliver?
01:01I think that in reality Ukraine is holding very well.
01:09The Russian economy is not doing so well.
01:11If we push more when it comes to sanctions, if we stop buying oil and gas, then probably it could influence very much the way how the whole situation in Ukraine.
01:26Europe is trying to face out the use of Russian oil and gas.
01:31Do you think the Danish presidency will be able to deliver on this?
01:36Or do you think the opposition from Hungary and Slovakia will stop the process?
01:40Well, I hope that we will be able to achieve that goal.
01:45Look at my own country Latvia.
01:47Back in 2017 we were 100% dependent on Russian gas and oil.
01:52Today, in 2025, we are completely independent.
01:55We are buying oil and gas from different countries.
01:58If there is a political will, there is going to be also the result.
02:01Do you think your country is particularly, of course, threatened from Russia?
02:06We are at hybrid war.
02:08So all kinds of provocations, short of real military operation, is something that we are monitoring very closely and we are trying to figure out how to counter them.
02:18U.S. President Donald Trump praised Ukraine's fight against Russia here in New York during the U.N. General Assembly.
02:29He said that Ukraine should restore its pre-war border with the help of the U.S. and NATO.
02:34He also said that sanctions on Russia remain an option.
02:37In a press conference with Zelensky, Trump said that NATO countries should shoot down Russian aircraft if they enter NATO space.
02:45Zelensky will address the U.N. on Wednesday.

02:53International activists participating in a flotilla of small boats seeking to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza
03:00have said some of their boats were attacked by drones overnight while sailing in international waters south of Greece.
03:06The global Sumud flotilla said Wednesday that it was attacked during the night by at least 13 explosions.
03:14Yesterday, these 40 boats were attacked, but it was not only attacked by our flotilla,
03:20it was also attacked by the consciousness and the freedom of the civil society.
03:24It was about an attack with drones, an attack with drones that have been attacked for days in our tests,
03:29but that yesterday they hit the ordines against our boats,
03:32damaging both the waves and the sound of some of our casualties.
03:37All this was a condemnation, but obviously we were expecting it.
03:40We were expecting it because it's a rhetoric that is part of what Israel is trying to do
03:45in terms of missions like ours, trying to incutely fear because it's afraid of our arrival.
03:51Greece's Coast Guard did not report any distress calls.
03:54The flotilla, comprised of dozens of boats from several countries,
03:58is carrying a symbolic amount of humanitarian aid, including food and medicine for Palestinians in Gaza.
04:04The Israeli Foreign Ministry has accused organisers of being linked to Hamas
04:08and says it has proposed that the activists unload their aid in the Israeli port of Ashkelon for it to be transported.
04:19Israel shuttered the Allenby border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan from Wednesday,
04:24the only land route Palestinians in the West Bank can use to travel abroad.
04:30Officials on both sides confirmed the shutdown but gave no reason for the closure.
04:37The crossing will remain closed until further notice.
04:42The move comes just days after a Jordanian truck driver killed two Israeli soldiers in a gun and knife attack.
04:49The crossing had only recently reopened to passenger traffic.
04:57Known in Jordan as the King Hussein Bridge,
05:00the Allenby crossing is also the main route for commercial goods between Jordan and the West Bank.
05:07Its closure is expected to have a major impact on both Palestinians and trade flows in the region.
05:14Jimmy Kimmel returned to his late night show on Tuesday after a six-day suspension
05:22over comments about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kerr.
05:26And that is, you understand that it was never my intention
05:30to make light of the murder of a young man.
05:33I don't think there's anything funny about it.
05:41Nor was it my intention to blame any specific group for the actions of what...
05:46It was obviously a deeply disturbed individual.
05:49Last week, ABC suspended the show after a group of affiliated stations said they would not air it,
05:55calling the remarks offensive and insensitive.
05:57For those who think I did...
05:58Kimmel also defended free speech, saying the government cannot be allowed to control
06:02what we do and do not say on television, calling it un-Americans.
06:06And family members on the other side...
06:08However, President Donald Trump criticized the host's return,
06:11while the head of the FCC had threatened action against ABC's parent company, Disney, just last week.
06:17Anyone who was a sick person who believed violence was a solution and...
06:22For the fifth year in a row, Thessaloniki has hosted the EU Rice Festival,
06:29highlighting the sustainability, quality and safety of European rice.
06:36Local producers use the event to discuss the challenges facing rice cultivation and exports.
06:43Greece is the third largest rice producer in the whole of Europe.
06:46The problem of the time has been reduced.
06:52And the most important thing is that...
06:55The major difference is that the prices have increased by the EU in the EU.
07:01In effect, Greece, because Greece is a competitive country in the EU,
07:06is a competitive country in the EU,
07:06it is a competitive country in Europe.
07:07It is a competitive country in Europe,
07:08because the countries in the EU are increasing in the EU,
07:13in the EU, in the EU,
07:15but not with the same quality and safety that the Greek European rice has.
07:22Rice grower Evgenio Yenineta showcased a variety of rice he has developed
07:27to withstand extreme climate change and long drought periods.
07:45The festival also featured award-winning restaurants which set up live kitchens and invited the public
07:57to taste dishes made with Greek rice at their center.

10:11Well, like most of us, I imagine we've been a little high with stories of all sorts.
10:30And I had the chance that my mother loved Andersen and she read me very early the stories of Andersen,
10:35which are sometimes very cruel, but in the same time very very beautiful, very fascinant,
10:42plein d'images and plein d'initiation.
10:45So I've always had a tendency to make films which are a few contes,
10:50because it's a way, I think, of going to a deep place for me,
10:55rather than starting from reality, really, even if it's always on the limit.
11:00And then I think that all my films are stories of maturation, of proofs that they make grow up,
11:07so it's a form that's well.
11:10And I love the poetry and the complexity of Andersen in particular.
11:16I love the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry and the poetry
