00:00When I came here, Northcars sees people walking dogs. I've never seen so many people walking dogs.
00:22And I thought, we've got to let, no matter what, we're having dogs in the pub.
00:26The whole idea of the pub really is that people come here, they feel comfortable, it's welcoming, whether you're young, old, you've got dogs, children, whatever.
00:39And so it just, no, it's just what we want of the pub.
00:44Every single member of the team, they love the dogs. It makes your day so much happier.
00:49If you're having a bad day and you walk through and there's a dog looking at you, you smile, you smile at the dog.
00:56If the dogs are always pleased to see you, they're not troublesome.
01:02We have our water station outside with our dog bowls, which is especially in the summer, that's incredibly important.
01:09We always have free biscuits on the bar.
01:11So there are a number of dogs that come in knowing that they're going to get their biscuit and are very disappointed if their biscuits aren't there.
01:18Then we do actually have a dog menu as well, which is Wolfchester Dog Menu.
01:23We always have blankets available.
01:25Every week on our Facebook page, we have a dog of the week.
01:29Basically, our team randomly go round, take photos of dogs, ask a little bit about the dog, if a dog they particularly like.
01:36And then at the end of the week, Camilla, who organises our Facebook page, she will publish a picture of the dog and then they get a present.
01:45They come in, they get like a little party pack with some dog biscuits and a toy and a ball or something as a reward.
01:51And that's every single week we do that.
01:53And we have all sorts, great big ones, cute puppies, all sorts.
01:56Oh, that's Nigel.
02:01Richard.
02:02We've got this one guy who always comes in with his dog and his dog is called Richard.
02:05His name's Nigel.
02:06And when he comes in, the first thing, and I've just noticed it the other week, all the team do.
02:11The first thing they go, hello, Richard, you all right?
02:14That's the dog.
02:14Then they go, hey, Nigel, how are you doing?
02:16And they all do it.
02:18They're very, very important to us.
02:20I think there's a bit of a myth attached to dogs that dogs are difficult things in public.
02:29They are not at all.
02:31You'll get the odd bark normally when they come in, but on the whole, the dogs are really well behaved.
02:35We have little walls in place, like you're supposed to have them on the lead and respect to the people.
02:42But ultimately, no, they're not at all troublesome.
02:45I've had people buy steaks for their dogs.
02:52Not very often, but I have had people buy an actual steak for their dog.
02:57And our steaks aren't cheap.
03:04Particularly in this area, because a lot of the people are retired here, a lot of the people have dogs.
03:11And their dogs are a really important part of their life.
03:14You've got people visiting, they bring their dogs on holiday, you've got people in camp vans.
03:20The Fairhaven Lake is beautiful, and it's fabulous for dog walkers.
03:24Not to let put dogs in this, to me, was insanity.
03:28And there we go.
03:29Oh, my.
03:29Oh.
03:30Absolutely.
03:31That's, but it's me.
03:31In fact, obviously.
03:32Things for dogs like me.
03:33Very positive.
03:33Sitting.
03:34Sitting
03:47And eating.
03:48Mm-hmm, and that's beer.
03:49And I said he makes their dogs Ha Queen, just Xing.
03:50ja driver comes to it.
03:51And your second fish in class, that's the Alto.
03:53Wait a minute and drink.
03:55Yep, and I'll add to you go down the Fahrenheit,
