00:00If you're planning to travel to Europe soon, you're going to need to get used to the new European Union's Entry-Exit System.
00:07Designed to ensure the EU knows exactly who is within its borders, a soft rollout begins in October before a full launch in April 2026.
00:15And if you are a non-EU citizen, which, since Brexit, we Brits are, you'll need to comply.
00:21Eurotunnel's Folkestone Terminal has built a huge covered hangar with more than 50 terminals,
00:26installed at a cost of £70m, where travellers will have to disembark and submit some biometric details.
00:32The process is relatively simple. Scan your passport and your fingerprints, get your photograph taken,
00:37and then head to regular passport control, which should, if all goes to plan, now be a lot quicker.
00:42While your data will be stored for three years by the EU, you will need to at least have your photograph taken
00:47at one of these terminals every time you enter or leave the block.
