00:00Rush is a phenomenon, it's an enigma, it's intoxicating.
00:07You're a social media sensation.
00:09Videos on social media got millions of views last year,
00:12they're even more popular this year.
00:13Some people are calling it the NFL Draft for Women.
00:16I was born to be Greek.
00:19I am the ultimate authority when it comes to Rush on TikTok.
00:23Brandis Bradley has become a TikTok celebrity.
00:27If you're going through Rush, you're going to want to get on my radar.
00:30Rush is the process where sororities recruit new members.
00:35I have had house back to back.
00:38I'm just like a sweaty mess.
00:40We're talking multiple outfits, interviews, open houses.
00:44To prep for Rush is a whole process.
00:47I think she's starting to panic.
00:49I might want it more than Emily.
00:51Put that phone down, talking to you.
00:53Behind every girl going through Rush,
00:55there's a mommy right behind her that wants it as bad as she does.
00:58Hotty-totty!
00:59I feel like we're working together.
01:01I want to know everything that she's doing.
01:02I'm living vicariously through her.
01:04She's already told me she doesn't want me there,
01:06so that kind of hurt my feelings a little bit.
01:07If I need to bake cakes and slap her face on the front
01:10and deliver it to every single sorority house,
01:13I'm doing it.
01:14Maybe I need counseling or something.
01:17You need to know how to play the game.
01:23We have all these flashcards of each 18 sororities.
01:26The black is just giving grieving widow.
01:29Louder!
01:30Ugh!
01:30You said you wanted my spot.
01:32Red Gucci bag, my Rush bag.
01:35These parents are willing to drop thousands of dollars
01:39on clothes, jewelry, even Rush consultants.
01:42People do call me the Rush King.
01:44What about Bill Albertson?
01:46We've got this Rush coach.
01:47He's the number one Rush coach in America.
01:50You guys are going to be, like, in cahoots.
01:52I don't want a cahoot.
01:53There are three important things in a mother's life.
01:56The birth of her child, her daughter's wedding day,
01:58and sorority rush.
02:00What about nutcrackers?
02:01I don't think you want to be a nutcracker.
02:03That's nasty.
02:04Three, two, one.
02:11Y'all know that rejection is part of it, right?
02:17I did not receive a bid.
02:20Rush week is so hard.
02:23Are y'all preparing for that?
02:25This might be the most competitive year yet.
02:27There's only a limited amount of spots.
02:29I'm literally pacing the bathroom because I'm so nervous.
02:33It's a big deal in our family.
02:36How are you going to handle it if you don't get a house?
02:39Are you ready for what's next?
02:45I'll be holding every breath.
02:47Don't say a word.
02:49I'm going to get whatever I deserve.
02:51Oh, my gosh.
02:52Caroline, look what came in.
02:56Yay!
02:57Your decal.
02:57Oh, my gosh.
02:59Look how cute it is.
03:00That turned out perfect.
03:01Yeah, that's exactly what I was imagining for it.
03:03Of course, it's pink.
03:04Of course, it's pink.
03:05Yes.
03:05And it has glitter.
03:07I love it.
03:07Hi, my name is Caroline Witte.
03:09I'm from Bossier City, Louisiana.
03:10I'm putting on going to school at the University of Arkansas
03:13in Fayetteville.
03:14Woo, bitch!
03:15Freak Life is huge at University of Arkansas.
03:18It's bigger.
03:19It's better.
03:20There's more people.
03:21There's more opportunities.
03:22It's a whole new world, and I just knew
03:24I wanted to be a part of it.
03:25Caroline's a girly girl.
03:26If she's wearing it, it's going to be extra.
03:29Hello.
03:30We love pink.
03:30People do say that we dress a lot alike.
03:32A lot of people say, oh, my gosh,
03:34you look just like your mother,
03:35or you look just like Caroline today.
03:36I like this.
03:37Wear what?
03:38Not even this, wear this.
03:40We really have always been really, really close.
03:43I'm not going to be the mom that wants to live
03:45by Curiously Green, but I am a little jealous.
03:49I think I'm more excited for the Greek life for her
03:52because I didn't get to do it.
03:53Are you excited to go?
03:54I am.
03:55I'm really excited.
03:55I'm counting down the days.
03:57I'm not counting down the days.
03:58Five hours away.
04:00Five full hours.
04:01I can come visit.
04:02Not during this.
04:03Yeah.
04:04After it's over, you can come maybe.
04:07It's okay for her to live through me a little bit
04:09because I understand this is very exciting.
04:11You're going to have your phone on you.
04:13I need to kind of break off and be my own person.
04:16I can't have my phone in the house,
04:19but I think when I'm like going in between,
04:21I can have my phone.
04:22Oh, my gosh.
04:22I don't know what to do.
04:24Unless I take more trips to Arkansas.
04:26No.
04:32Hi, my name is Jansen Morris.
04:34I'm 18 years old.
04:35I am super excited for all things girly and glittery.
04:38I love to try new things.
04:42I'm starving.
04:43You too.
04:44I'm mom.
04:44I'm Shallan.
04:45I love her to death.
04:46I love her.
04:47She's the best.
04:48Jansen is always on the go.
04:50She never stops.
04:51We do everything we can to support her
04:54in any endeavor that she wants to make happen.
04:57She wears me out.
04:59In a good way, though.
05:00Do I go further than other parents might go?
05:03A little bit.
05:04One time she did one of my online classes.
05:06Stop.
05:07Why?
05:08Because it's funny.
05:09Why?
05:11Chair is pretty much everything to me.
05:14I did try out at a few schools
05:17and I got multiple offers,
05:19but I was informed
05:22that you would not be able to rush
05:24if you were on the cheer team.
05:27I've always wanted to be in a sorority,
05:29pretty much as young
05:30as I was even starting to think about college.
05:34And so the reason I decided to end up at Arkansas
05:36is because I can try out for the cheer team next year,
05:40but I can still get my freshman year
05:42to do a sorority
05:43and go to all the football games
05:44and be in the stands.
05:45I'm going to make you cry.
05:47What?
05:47Why are you crying?
05:48Because she's going to go away.
05:52Are you good?
05:53I'm trying to figure out some of this rush stuff.
05:56Okay, recruitment lookbook.
05:57Oh, goodness.
05:59Yeah.
05:5955 pages?
06:01We have very different personalities.
06:03We don't look alike.
06:04We don't dress alike.
06:06We think different,
06:07just like this rush thing.
06:08Oh my gosh, what to wear?
06:09She's bougie.
06:11I'm like low-key.
06:13But we're both awesome.
06:14I'm awesome.
06:15Oh, girl.
06:16I think that this is really helpful,
06:19but there's like still certain things
06:21that I'm kind of unsure about.
06:22Coming from high school,
06:24I realized that not everybody is nice
06:27and not everybody's going to like you,
06:28no matter how nice you try to be.
06:31I witnessed a situation
06:32where a freshman was being treated very poorly.
06:37And so that night,
06:38I went home and I told my parents.
06:40And my parents told the girls' parents about it
06:43and they reported it.
06:44A day later,
06:45the same people who were there
06:46witnessing the situation
06:47all of a sudden turned on me
06:49and made my senior year horrible.
06:51It's so crazy
06:52how far people will push
06:54just for the sheer purpose
06:56of hurting another person.
06:58I mean, she's been beat down
07:00and she's gone through a lot with school
07:01and just tough times.
07:03I never thought
07:05that doing the right thing would backfire.
07:09She was the one person
07:10to stand up for this girl.
07:13I was so proud of her.
07:14We still are.
07:15They have like rush coaches.
07:18Seriously?
07:19Yeah.
07:19It's an additional cost,
07:20but I think it would definitely be helpful
07:22and just stressful
07:23because I don't know
07:24like all the ins and outs of rush.
07:26I'm open to looking into it.
07:28Anything I could do
07:29to help her be successful?
07:30If I need to bake cakes
07:32and slap her face on the front,
07:33I'm doing it.
07:38Are you excited to have a rush coach?
07:40Yes, I'm excited.
07:41Yes.
07:41I definitely need help.
07:42We have no idea what we're doing.
07:43No, I don't know.
07:44I think it's a good thing
07:46for her to get a rush coach
07:47because we've never been through this.
07:50He's here.
07:51Oh, my God.
07:52Oh, my goodness.
07:52I hope he loves your wardrobe.
07:54Hello.
07:55Hey, lady.
07:56Hey.
07:57Caroline.
07:58Yes.
07:58Caroline.
07:59Holly.
07:59Holly.
08:01Bill Albertson,
08:02I found on social media.
08:04Come sit so we can try out.
08:05Okay, I'm following you.
08:06I am pretty well known as,
08:09well, the New York Times said it,
08:10so did the London Telegraph,
08:11that I'm the number one pageant coach
08:13in the country.
08:13Some people say the world.
08:15And, of course,
08:15I've been coaching Girls in Rush
08:16for years as well.
08:18Look, I have my notebook ready.
08:19We're ready.
08:20All right.
08:20As a rush coach,
08:21my job is to help you present yourself,
08:24to help you discover
08:25where you want to belong,
08:26and we're going to give you
08:27the tool set to get there.
08:28Let's start off here.
08:29Okay.
08:29You live in Louisiana.
08:31Are you going to a Louisiana school?
08:33No, I'm not.
08:34I'm going to the University of Arkansas,
08:35which is about
08:36five and a half hours away.
08:38Okay, thanks for telling me
08:39how to drive there
08:39that I'm not going.
08:40So you're going to a big school?
08:42Yes.
08:42We are thinking
08:43we've got to get
08:44rec letters together.
08:45You're thinking that.
08:46We are.
08:48Caroline and Holly,
08:49they're kind of two unique birds.
08:55But they're peacocks.
08:58So vivaciousness.
08:59Yes.
09:00Loving that.
09:01But we've got to have
09:01our stuff together.
09:02You can laugh yourself
09:03right on out the door.
09:04So, Mama Sita,
09:06were you in a sorority?
09:07I was not.
09:08Are you living this
09:08a little bit through her
09:09and enjoying it?
09:10Okay, so we're not
09:11going to do that anymore.
09:12Oh, darn.
09:14Oh.
09:15Yeah, it's not a we.
09:16Oh, it's not a we.
09:17And I feel like you
09:18do lots of things for her.
09:21Mm-hmm.
09:21Do you shop together?
09:22All the time.
09:23Yeah.
09:24Every weekend.
09:25Okay.
09:25I'll be setting you free.
09:28Yes.
09:28Yes.
09:29Yeah, yeah.
09:29You may have to go
09:30visit a foreign country.
09:31We'll see if I hold up
09:33to my end of the bar.
09:35She has totally lived
09:37through her daughter's
09:38experience, her life,
09:39which could be a recipe
09:40for disaster.
09:41Are you ready
09:42to do a fashion extravagance?
09:43I think so.
09:44Are you ready
09:45to see paint?
09:45And sparkle?
09:47Grand reveal.
09:48Grand reveal.
09:49All.
09:49Where's the little girl
09:56that lives here?
09:57She's right here.
10:00Oh.
10:01The bedazzler sets
10:03may need to stay here
10:04with us.
10:05I love those.
10:07Oh, I'm not going.
10:08And you don't get
10:10to pick out
10:10the war growth or rush.
10:12Honestly, Holly's not
10:13going to be able
10:14to pull back.
10:14I'm fired.
10:16She's going to cheat
10:17and she's going to lie to me.
10:18So show me what you're thinking
10:19that you think
10:20you're going to be
10:20wearing in rush.
10:21This is my
10:22Love Shack fancy skirt.
10:24That looks like
10:24you tied out it yourself.
10:25It's a little house
10:26on the prairie.
10:27Took acid.
10:28The biggest problem
10:29with Caroline
10:29is that she's so
10:30about being herself
10:31and thinks it's great
10:32and fine and sparkly.
10:33The world's not sparkly
10:35and we don't sparkle
10:36during the day so much.
10:37What about nutcracker?
10:38It says I'm a gift.
10:39I don't think
10:40you want to be
10:40a nutcracker.
10:41That's nasty.
10:42Put that back.
10:43Okay, I really like
10:44this dress,
10:45but I think it's
10:45a little risque.
10:47Oh, you can wear
10:48that somebody's
10:482 o'clock wedding
10:49in the afternoon
10:50where your sorority
10:50sister got pregnant,
10:51had to get married early,
10:52you got a perfect dress.
10:55Okay, that's a win.
10:56That's a no.
10:57Yes.
10:57What is that?
10:58Oh, it's floral.
11:00That looks like
11:00we're going to make
11:01something for homemade.
11:02This is what I wore
11:03in my video.
11:05Hi, my name's
11:06Caroline Whitty
11:07and I'm from
11:07Bossier City, Louisiana.
11:09I'm really excited
11:10to meet all the girls
11:10and can't wait
11:11to rush in the fall.
11:13You're kidding me.
11:14Bill has his hands full.
11:16We are doing
11:16damage control.
11:17We've got to find
11:18age-appropriate clothing.
11:20We're going to have
11:21to go shopping.
11:22A few less sparkles.
11:23How about no sparkles?
11:25Sororities are not
11:26looking for someone
11:27who's dressed like
11:28My Little Pony.
11:32The reality is
11:34we live in a social
11:35media-guided world.
11:37Now, all the sororities
11:38pay attention to it.
11:39It can destroy you.
11:41Be smart.
11:42Somebody is watching.
11:44The girls in the
11:44sorority house
11:45is making their cuts
11:46based on what they
11:47dug up about you
11:47on your social media.
11:49I would take out
11:49anything that has to do
11:50with, like, alcohol,
11:51excessive partying,
11:53anything that, like,
11:54shows too much
11:55and, like, isn't tasteful.
11:56You wouldn't want
11:57your grandparents
11:58or your parents
11:58or, like, a teacher
11:59or someone to see it.
12:00Don't post it.
12:01This is something
12:04you have to prepare for.
12:05This is something
12:06you have to strategize for.
12:14After you, milady.
12:15Bill called me
12:16and he asked to go
12:17grab a cup of coffee
12:17without Caroline.
12:19I have no idea
12:20what he wants
12:20to talk about.
12:21So, I wanted to talk
12:23to you away from her.
12:25She's developed
12:27a lot of confidence,
12:28which is great.
12:29Yeah.
12:29Y'all share conversations
12:31about everything.
12:33Don't fill her phone up
12:34with text messages, okay?
12:36I'm working on getting better.
12:37I don't want Caroline
12:38to say,
12:38I like this sorority,
12:39that sorority,
12:40that sorority.
12:41And which one
12:41do you like, Mom?
12:42Or what do you think?
12:43Mom's not there.
12:44So, we don't need
12:45to have Mom
12:46giving you opinions.
12:47If she is waking up
12:48at 6.30,
12:49at 6.31...
12:51I don't call her.
12:52No, don't even say
12:53call me if you need me
12:54because that sounds needy.
12:56Okay.
12:57She's going to call you
12:58trying to take care of you
12:59and our focus is off.
13:00And you don't want
13:01her to run to you.
13:02I want her to,
13:03you know,
13:03go off and experience this.
13:04She has a bad day,
13:05she calls you,
13:06she has a cry,
13:07and then you're like,
13:08okay, no big thing,
13:09shake it off.
13:09Shake it off.
13:10Taylor Swift, whatever,
13:11get it together.
13:12Okay.
13:13To not have Caroline
13:15call me to cut the cord
13:17will be very hard
13:18for me to do.
13:19It's real hard
13:20for your daughter
13:21to be going through
13:22something that's
13:23not about you.
13:24It's part of you.
13:26Yes.
13:26That there is no we
13:28in Rush.
13:29I just really want
13:30to be a part
13:31of the process.
13:32None.
13:33I want to know
13:33everything that she's doing.
13:35Get out of that.
13:36And when it's happening,
13:37and I can't do that.
13:38It's rare that everyone
13:39goes all the way through
13:40with no drops.
13:42Coming from
13:43a non-Greek family,
13:44she doesn't understand
13:46what Rush is,
13:47so we got to prepare her
13:48that we want to have
13:49houses we want,
13:51not house.
13:51I worry if something
13:53goes wrong for Caroline
13:54in the first part
13:55of the week,
13:55it could completely
13:56undermine her whole
13:58Rush experience.
14:00She may fold.
14:04I received a DM
14:05from this mom.
14:06They are clueless
14:07about sorority Rush.
14:08If I don't get a bed,
14:09I really don't know
14:10what I'm going to do.
14:11I have never pictured
14:12college life
14:13without a sorority.
14:15I'm going to send
14:15Jansen to this
14:16introductory to
14:17Sorority Rush workshop
14:19run by this woman
14:19named Leslie.
14:20Since Jansen is clueless,
14:22I'm sending her there first.
14:24Hey, Jansen.
14:25I'm glad you could make it.
14:26Plus, Leslie has
14:28actually worked
14:29and has active clients
14:30who are now
14:31in sororities
14:32at Arkansas.
14:33My little secret mission
14:34is hopefully Leslie's
14:35going to pick up the phone
14:36and call those girls
14:37and say,
14:38look out for this girl.
14:40I started
14:41Sorority Prep in 2015.
14:42I had been involved
14:45with sorority recruitment
14:45on many campuses
14:46and saw that there was
14:48really a lack of knowledge
14:50about what to expect
14:51and I really felt like
14:53I could fill that gap.
14:54We have a lot to get through
14:56but hopefully this is
14:57going to help prepare you.
14:59We talk about
14:59the recruitment rounds.
15:01We're going to go through
15:01conversation practice.
15:03We'll talk about outfits.
15:05Leslie is going to be
15:06like $1,500.
15:07We don't have the money
15:08that everybody has
15:10but we're okay
15:11with what we have
15:12and if there's just
15:13anything I can do
15:14to help her
15:15then I'm absolutely
15:16going to do it.
15:17100% of my clients
15:18have gotten a bid.
15:19There are five things
15:20you don't want to talk about
15:21during your sorority
15:22recruitment conversation.
15:24Boys, booze,
15:26Bible, politics
15:28and then financials.
15:30Sometimes the sorority women
15:31like to be tricky
15:31and see if they can catch you.
15:34So, Jansen,
15:35you're in a sorority party
15:37and the girl says to you,
15:38so what do you like to do
15:39on the weekends?
15:40One of my friends
15:44has a lake house
15:45and so we go there a lot.
15:47Do y'all party
15:47while you're there?
15:48Like, are you into partying?
15:51Parties kind of lead
15:51to bad things sometimes.
15:53Okay, I'm going to pause you there.
15:54Do y'all see what I did?
15:55They keep pressing in on that.
15:57So, I like how you responded.
15:59If you feel like that is
16:00kind of where she's
16:01trying to lead you,
16:02you can totally change
16:03the conversation
16:04and you can ask
16:06a question to them.
16:07So, I want to prepare y'all
16:09for one of the most
16:10important things.
16:11Recruitment does not start
16:12when you step onto your campus.
16:14It has started now
16:15because as soon as you
16:17submit that registration,
16:18the sorority women
16:19have already started
16:20to research you.
16:21Sorority girls
16:22are like the FBI.
16:24They will find out
16:25everything about you.
16:28We're going to do
16:28a little experiment.
16:29I pulled up
16:29some of your socials.
16:31So, we're going to
16:32look at them.
16:33Nika.
16:34Let's say Nika
16:35had this picture
16:37where she's
16:38in her bikini top
16:39and she's holding
16:40a red Solo cup.
16:42Oh, I think no.
16:43Yeah.
16:43Jansen, you're up next.
16:46What can you tell
16:47about Jansen?
16:48Cheer.
16:48Cheer, yes.
16:50Swifty.
16:50Yes.
16:53The bikini photos
16:54kind of look like,
16:55well, is she a party girl?
16:56Is she boy crazy?
16:57I would probably archive
16:59this photo
16:59and only because
17:01we just want to make sure
17:02it's all not going to
17:03put you in a position
17:04where you would get cut
17:04from a sorority
17:05because of that.
17:06So, clean up
17:07your social media.
17:08Now, let's just say
17:09you're in a recruitment
17:10party at a house
17:11and a girl from back home
17:13sees you in that party.
17:15You don't want anything
17:17that could potentially hurt
17:19you to come up
17:19in recruitment.
17:20If you feel like
17:21there's something out
17:22there about you,
17:22you clear it up.
17:23So, when I was
17:24considering where I was
17:25going to go to college,
17:26I did know that
17:27there were some people
17:28at Arkansas
17:29that I went to school
17:30with who might have
17:31heard some untrue things
17:32or some rumors.
17:33So, let's say, Jansen,
17:35is there anything
17:35you feel like
17:36you're fearful
17:37or worried about
17:38that's going to come up
17:39during recruitment?
17:40Obviously, there's
17:41rumors that I'm worried
17:43about that are
17:44so far from true.
17:45Sometimes high school
17:46rumors follow you
17:47into recruitment.
17:48It doesn't always happen,
17:50but it can.
17:51The key thing
17:52to remember
17:53is you can't control
17:54what's whispered
17:55in the hallways
17:56or the group chats,
17:57but you can control
17:59how you carry yourself,
18:01how you walk in
18:01with confidence,
18:02and how you own
18:03your own story.
18:05It was a really,
18:06really hard time for me.
18:08Yeah, that's super hard.
18:09You want to cover
18:10your back
18:12so that that doesn't
18:13come back to hurt you,
18:14and so I think
18:15you need to be prepared.
18:18I think part of what
18:19your response should be
18:20for why you're looking
18:21for a sisterhood
18:22is to sort of
18:23call it out a little bit.
18:24Because they could
18:25already know.
18:26They could potentially
18:27know something.
18:28You have to be strong
18:29to survive Rush Week.
18:31It's like preparing
18:32soldiers for war
18:33for this battle
18:34that's happening
18:35on this campus
18:36to get these bids.
18:37It's vicious
18:38on the inside.
18:45There's going to be
18:45a lot of rejection
18:46during Rush Week.
18:47You may fall in love
18:48with a particular house,
18:49but if they don't
18:50love you back,
18:50you ain't getting invited.
18:52It may be 98 degrees
18:53heat out there,
18:54and your hair
18:54could be falling flat.
18:56Are you going to
18:56cry in the corner?
18:57Are you still going to
18:58soar and present yourself
18:59in the best way possible?
19:00How are you going
19:00to handle rejection?
19:01I was a freshman
19:02in college.
19:03I was dropped
19:03from the sorority rush
19:04process.
19:05It was probably
19:06one of the most
19:06traumatizing and most
19:09crushing things
19:09that has ever happened
19:10to me.
19:11I was also dropped
19:11as a freshman,
19:12and I thought that
19:13my life was over.
19:14Nothing is worse
19:15than doing your best
19:17and still losing.
19:20And that's what
19:20rejection feels like.
19:21You're in Rush Week.
19:24They told me you were
19:26trouble.
19:27They tryna buzz my bubble.
19:29There's really nothing
19:30they can say.
19:31Morning, Glory.
19:32Hello, Bill.
19:33How are you?
19:34Today I'm going shopping
19:35with Bill and my cousin,
19:37Lizzie, and my mom's
19:38going to join us
19:38when she gets off work.
19:40Lizzie is my cousin,
19:41but I like to say
19:42she's my sister
19:43just because of
19:44how close we are.
19:45I know that she'll
19:46help me out
19:46with all my outfits,
19:47so she'll definitely
19:49be tagging along
19:49for everything.
19:50Can totally tell
19:51your family.
19:51Well, I wore this dress
19:52for you.
19:53It's like showing
19:53my love.
19:54I love Bill.
19:55Yeah, and you're
19:56Spawn of Devil.
19:58Today she showed up
19:59with an outfit
20:00I know just to get
20:01my goat.
20:01Look what I found,
20:02Bill.
20:03Your favorite dress.
20:04Put it back.
20:05But the fact that
20:05she actually buys
20:06clothes like that
20:07and wears them
20:08regularly is a
20:10scary fact.
20:11Let's try
20:12something different.
20:13This may be a moment
20:17where we have to all
20:18talk to Jesus together
20:19because I swore to God
20:20she couldn't wear pink.
20:22And this is cute.
20:23Oh, yes.
20:23But where's the hands?
20:25What are we doing?
20:26So when we stand
20:27and talk to people...
20:28Mm-hmm.
20:28All right,
20:29this is doctor's examination.
20:31This is just one foot
20:33in the front.
20:33Okay.
20:34Slightly not together.
20:36You know,
20:36the thing about Caroline
20:36is that she gets it.
20:38She understands
20:38what was going on.
20:40If she didn't get it,
20:41she let me know,
20:42and then when she got it,
20:43she bought into it.
20:44She started seeing it.
20:46Oh.
20:47I like it.
20:48I mean,
20:48it is so cute.
20:49I like that.
20:50And now hold on.
20:52You look mature
20:53and you don't look tin.
20:54Okay.
20:55That's good.
20:56I love this dress.
20:58Oh, my God.
20:58Hey, Laura.
20:59And she just liked...
21:00I love the headband
21:03at home.
21:03Yeah, thank God.
21:04Oh, goodness.
21:05This says,
21:06I'm chic and I'm together.
21:07And it also says,
21:08I'm confident,
21:09I'm mature.
21:09If Caroline does
21:10what she's supposed to do,
21:11if she stands right,
21:13if she presents herself well,
21:15I think the girls
21:16at Arkansas
21:16are going to love her.
21:17How much, y'all?
21:18Good to see y'all.
21:23I'm trying to understand
21:24the process,
21:25but there's a lot to it.
21:26Arkansas has 11 sororities.
21:28There's over 2,000 girls rushing.
21:31I don't understand,
21:32like,
21:32how do you make yourself
21:34stand out?
21:35Of course.
21:35So, okay,
21:37you're going to laugh
21:37at me for this,
21:38but I also think
21:39you're going to love it.
21:40So,
21:41what if we sent,
21:42like,
21:42treats or something
21:43like that
21:44to the house?
21:45Like,
21:46you could, like,
21:46get her face,
21:48like,
21:48on a cake.
21:48Like,
21:49her actual picture on it?
21:50Yeah.
21:50Like,
21:51put her face
21:51in front of,
21:52I don't know,
21:53countless girls?
21:55Literally.
21:58Delivered on the front doorstep
22:00and saying,
22:00with love from Jansen
22:01or hopeful good times ahead
22:03from Jansen.
22:04Girls are going to remember,
22:06you know,
22:07that's from Jansen.
22:08The one big crapshoot
22:09in all of it
22:10is getting Jansen on board.
22:11That's it.
22:11If Jansen will even go for it.
22:15Hello.
22:16Hey, baby,
22:17how are you?
22:18You all sound like
22:19you're up to no good.
22:20Me and Franny,
22:21I don't know,
22:21I was just talking to her
22:22about how you really
22:24make yourself stand out.
22:25Maybe, like,
22:26putting your picture
22:27on a cake
22:27and sending it
22:28to all of the houses.
22:29But it's not,
22:30not, not gonna happen.
22:31Why not?
22:32Guys, you're not allowed,
22:33you can't bribe the sorority.
22:35But what's considered a bribe?
22:36A cake with my face on it.
22:38My mom has always been
22:39Team Jansen all the way.
22:41You're so lame, Jansen.
22:42But that's a bribe.
22:44It's a bribe.
22:44Like,
22:45are you sure you can't
22:46send any goodies?
22:48But I think that
22:49if it was allowed,
22:50she would be
22:51the first person
22:52to have the cakes
22:53that be ordered
22:54and on the way
22:55to the houses.
22:56Please,
22:57no cakes
22:57with my face on it.
22:58That is all
22:59I ask.
23:01Look how cute
23:02this is.
23:04My word.
23:05First day of school.
23:07She needs this.
23:08She could send me
23:08a photo.
23:09Heather is my
23:11identical twin sister.
23:12Cute.
23:13That's cute.
23:13That is cute.
23:14She is
23:15not quite
23:16as crazy as me.
23:18So what do you think
23:18we need to look for
23:19while we're here today?
23:20We need to get
23:20a few Rush gifts
23:21because I'm stressed
23:23out about Rush.
23:24We have a lot of fun
23:25when we're together
23:25so I knew that
23:26I wanted her
23:27to help me
23:28pick out Rush gifts.
23:29I want to send
23:30little happies
23:31every day
23:32for Rush.
23:32Oh, that's fun.
23:33I know.
23:34And there's nine days.
23:36I didn't even know
23:37what a Rush gift was
23:38until I watched
23:40TikTok.
23:41A Rush gift
23:42is a little happy.
23:43It's something
23:43to make you feel good.
23:45Some of these moms
23:46are living vicariously
23:47through their daughters
23:47and they're buying
23:48things for their daughters
23:49that they really want.
23:51All of these gifts
23:52I brought from my mom
23:54during Rush.
23:55I just gifted
23:55her new fragrance.
23:57And this one
23:57that she's been wanting.
23:59Today's theme is jewelry.
24:01They put everything
24:02in these gift bags.
24:03It's crazy.
24:04Game day survival kit
24:05and bracelet bundle.
24:07So my mom made me
24:08a bunch of sweatshirts.
24:09It's a sweatshirt too.
24:11Gifts that they want
24:12to get for their birthday
24:13or Valentine's
24:13or Christmas.
24:14It looks like she got
24:15me a cute little bracelet.
24:16Which I get.
24:17I love to give gifts
24:18as my husband would say
24:19as if I didn't buy
24:20her enough already.
24:21Look at the little bracelet.
24:24She has really
24:24been wanting this.
24:26Oh, how cute.
24:27Oh my goodness.
24:28So she loves bows.
24:30This is what she wanted.
24:31Oh my goodness.
24:33I have smiths.
24:34I can't even.
24:35I don't even.
24:35I haven't even.
24:36I don't have a budget.
24:37No.
24:38No budget.
24:38I have no budget.
24:39I had no idea
24:40all of the steps
24:41and things that you do
24:43to become a part
24:43of a sorority.
24:44That sounds nuts to me.
24:45Buying all of these
24:46Rush gifts
24:47does seem a little
24:48excessive.
24:48But it's kind of
24:49kept Holly's mind
24:50I think off of Caroline
24:51going off to college.
24:52I'm stressed out
24:53making sure that
24:54I'm there when I need
24:55to be.
24:55But I want to be there
24:56for everything
24:57and she's already
24:57totally like she doesn't
24:58want me there.
24:59So that kind of hurt
25:00my feelings a little bit.
25:01Right.
25:01As we prepare for Caroline
25:03to go to college,
25:04a lot of people
25:04are concerned for me.
25:06They're like,
25:06what are you going to do
25:08when she leaves?
25:08And that's really
25:09something that I've
25:10tried not to think
25:11about.
25:11We are, you know,
25:12so close that now
25:14I'm dropping her off
25:15and, you know,
25:16I have to say goodbye
25:16to her.
25:17And we spend so much
25:18time together,
25:18so that's going
25:20to be tough.
25:20I'm sad about that.
25:22She's always going
25:23to be my little girl
25:24regardless of if she's
25:25five hours away.
25:26I will always find a way
25:27to connect with her.
25:29367.75.
25:31Okay.
25:31I need to set Caroline
25:34free, let her be
25:35her own person.
25:36I'm going to try
25:36to get better at that.
25:37But honestly,
25:39I don't think
25:40that's going to happen.
25:40All right.
25:41Thanks, girls.
25:41Bye.
25:47If you know
25:49your worth,
25:51you can handle
25:52rejection.
25:53Your worth
25:54cannot be contingent
25:56on getting invited
25:57back to the sorority
25:58house.
25:59If it is,
26:00you ain't ready
26:01for rush.
26:02If you get dropped
26:03by a sorority,
26:04it's just part
26:05of the process.
26:07Don't put any more
26:08stress on yourself
26:08than you need to.
26:09A lot of girls today
26:10come out of high school
26:11never having an interview,
26:13never making a presentation.
26:15We want you just as much
26:16as you want us
26:17and you will find a place.
26:19It's their first taste
26:20of the world.
26:21You're finding out
26:21who you are.
26:22So just stay true
26:23to yourself
26:24and everything will work out
26:25how it's supposed
26:26to play out.
26:30Jansen,
26:32great to finally meet you.
26:34Yes.
26:35I wanted you to talk
26:35to Leslie
26:36to kind of get parameters
26:37of what to expect.
26:38What did you learn?
26:39So we focused a lot
26:40on social media
26:41and then we worked
26:43a lot with like
26:43conversating
26:44and like what to talk
26:45about when I get there.
26:46What do you think
26:47are your obstacles
26:48to get to where
26:49you need to be
26:50for Rush?
26:50I had a situation
26:53in high school
26:53with some girls
26:54that weren't that nice.
26:55You had a mean girl moment?
26:57Yes.
26:57Yeah, you could say.
26:58Let me help you out here.
27:01Do you think
27:01you're the only girl
27:02that's pretty
27:03that had a mean girl moment?
27:05Absolutely not.
27:06Okay then.
27:07So stop.
27:08What's your plan
27:09if you encounter
27:10a mean girl during Rush?
27:12I smile and wait.
27:15Do we?
27:16We don't want to be fake.
27:18Yes, that's it.
27:19You can be polite.
27:22And you don't have
27:22to be fake.
27:23Don't kiss their butt.
27:24Okay.
27:25Somebody can't
27:26make nasty comments
27:28to you
27:28if they're seeing
27:29the back of your head.
27:30Got it?
27:31I'm pretty sure.
27:31During Rush,
27:32we're going to be
27:32checking in.
27:33I'm going to see
27:34how you're doing
27:34and we're going
27:35to keep it together.
27:36Okay?
27:37I'll keep you updated.
27:39Bingo.
27:39All right.
27:40Love it.
27:40Bye.
27:41Bye.
27:43You don't get through
27:44Rush Week by yourself.
27:46It takes a village.
27:47Well, Jansen's got a village.
27:49She's got her mom.
27:50She's got Leslie.
27:51And she has me.
27:53So manifest yourself
27:55into a beautiful Rush Week,
27:56a happy place.
27:59So how was your meeting
28:00with the Rush Coach?
28:01Really good.
28:02I just want to go somewhere
28:04where, like,
28:05the girls are nice
28:06just because
28:08I don't really want
28:09to have the same experience
28:11that I did
28:11in high school.
28:13I feel like I'm going
28:14to have a hard time
28:15knowing where
28:16I want to end up.
28:18I get 20 minutes,
28:19maybe,
28:19to talk to some
28:20of these girls.
28:22And I think
28:23it's going to be hard
28:23for me to tell
28:24whether or not
28:24the girls are genuine.
28:25I'm nervous
28:27for Jansen.
28:28I do have some concerns
28:29about potential
28:31mean girls,
28:32especially given
28:33what she went through
28:34in high school.
28:35You're a good judge
28:36of character.
28:37You get a good vibe
28:38right off the bat.
28:39That's a good sign.
28:40I mean,
28:40there's going to be
28:41some houses
28:41you may walk into
28:42and immediately know
28:44this is not
28:45where I want to be.
28:46I'm not getting
28:46a good vibe from this.
28:47Just go in there,
28:48be true to yourself
28:49and to others
28:50and just trust your gut.
28:52Yeah.
28:53I hope so.
28:54I love you, baby girl.
28:56I'm going to miss you.
28:58I'm going to miss you, too.
28:59I am worried
29:00about getting to Arkansas
29:02and being immediately
29:03dropped from a lot
29:04of houses
29:05because girls talk.
29:07I just don't think
29:07I can deal with it again.
29:12We leave tomorrow
29:13and I'm starting my packing.
29:15We're going to try
29:16and fit it all
29:16in these three drawers.
29:18This is just full
29:19of my sweatshirts.
29:20Oh, well.
29:21Check you later,
29:22Alec.
29:22Alec.
29:27Hey!
29:29Here we are.
29:29We are packed down.
29:31My dad has a truck
29:32full of stuff, too.
29:33Caroline said,
29:34we,
29:34and I said,
29:35oh, yeah.
29:36Yeah, I hope we
29:37do that.
29:38And I was like,
29:39no, not we.
29:40We.
29:41I have been
29:42super excited
29:43this whole time,
29:44but now that it's
29:44finally here,
29:45I'm definitely getting
29:46a little bit nervous
29:47and I have no idea
29:48what's to come tomorrow.
29:49And the nerves
29:50are definitely kicking in.
29:51Bill said,
29:52I need to set Caroline free,
29:54let her be her own person,
29:55but I just want to
29:56just be a part
29:58of all of it with her.
30:04I'm just going to give
30:06a quick little dorm tour.
30:08We seriously completely
30:09transformed this thing.
30:11I cannot believe
30:12it's time
30:12to head home.
30:14I want to know
30:15what's happening,
30:15where she's at,
30:16what she's wearing,
30:17how the conversations
30:18are going,
30:19but I have to stay away.
30:21I am concerned
30:22for myself,
30:23just the separation
30:24piece of it.
30:25I honestly don't know
30:26how I'll handle it.
30:27it does seem
30:28very overwhelming.
30:37Rush week is here.
30:38It's go time.
30:39And in this world,
30:40it's sparkle.
30:42All ready for weekday.
30:43Or stumble.
30:44Because I...
30:45Confidence is always important.
30:49If you're anything
30:50less than confident,
30:51you're just going
30:52to be dead weight
30:53and they ain't
30:53going to want you.
30:58The first round
30:59is open house.
31:01You watch a video
31:02of all the sororities,
31:03so they kind of show you
31:04the girls and their colors.
31:06It's just a selling point
31:07like a big commercial.
31:08Today was the first day
31:09of Rush.
31:10I was really nervous
31:11going in.
31:12I didn't know
31:12what it was going
31:13to be like or anything
31:14or what we would do.
31:15So then I got back
31:16to my dorm.
31:17We got on a Zoom call
31:18and I had two
31:20new houses
31:21on the Zoom call.
31:22I did it.
31:23It's done.
31:24So tomorrow,
31:25I'll see who got me back.
31:27Everything that I went
31:27through in high school,
31:28it does make me nervous
31:30that it might impact
31:31my Rush experience.
31:33Rush week is
31:34incredibly exhausting.
31:36It's hard,
31:36especially with it being
31:37her first time
31:38away from home.
31:39It's been really
31:40emotionally draining.
31:42I'm just hoping
31:42to be my bright
31:44and bubbly self.
31:48The first big day
31:50is philanthropy.
31:51It's each sorority's
31:53charity.
31:54You're finally looking
31:55at the people
31:56who are interested
31:56in you
31:57and that you're
31:58interested in as well.
31:59Hey, y'all.
32:00So this is day two
32:01of philanthropy.
32:02My skirt is
32:03from Forever 21.
32:04My top is
32:05UA Panhellenic.
32:06Jewelry,
32:06we've got Target,
32:08Bubble Bar,
32:09Cartier.
32:10I am super excited
32:11to see the houses
32:12today and I cannot wait
32:13for the rest of the week.
32:14This is
32:15Uark Panhellenic,
32:16obviously.
32:17Paper tulips,
32:18vintage Havana,
32:19Simply Chic,
32:20Bubble Bar,
32:21Vita Blondes,
32:22Brandon Boutique,
32:22I don't know,
32:23Julie Voss,
32:24E. Newton,
32:25Vita Blondes.
32:25Hello,
32:26I'm wearing
32:26another headband.
32:29Oh my gosh,
32:29look at this room.
32:30Super cute in here.
32:32Yeah, I get it.
32:33It's darling.
32:34All right,
32:35hey, Caroline,
32:36how many times
32:37did your mom
32:37call you today?
32:38Well, let's just
32:39say I had four houses
32:40and we talked
32:41after every house
32:42saying a little bit
32:42in between.
32:43So if that tells you
32:44anything.
32:45Well, that's four
32:46and a little in between.
32:47Holly, you are not
32:48following any
32:49of my advice.
32:50I'm trying really hard.
32:52She texted me
32:53before I was even awake.
32:56Holly?
32:57It was an encouraging note.
33:00Stop.
33:01All right,
33:01so tell me
33:02where you went today,
33:03what's going on,
33:04where are we,
33:05what's happening?
33:05I went to KD
33:06and I really liked KD
33:08and then I went
33:09to AOPI
33:10and that one,
33:11I just didn't love
33:12it as much.
33:13It's early on,
33:14so everybody's
33:15kind of getting
33:15their groove
33:16and their feel
33:16and so you should be,
33:18just be you.
33:19Let yourself go in
33:20and be this crazy girl,
33:21not don't be your mother.
33:23I have an idea
33:24for all of y'all.
33:25What?
33:26After the parties,
33:28I want Caroline
33:29to text you going,
33:31it was good,
33:32it was bad,
33:32or it's okay.
33:33I'll tell you
33:34after it's all over.
33:36Okay.
33:36I can do that.
33:38Caroline needs to be
33:38focused on getting ready,
33:40not talking to her mom
33:41on the phone
33:41and she needs to make sure
33:43she's great about everything.
33:44But Holly wants her
33:46to say,
33:46Mama,
33:46I wish you were here.
33:48This is so much fun.
33:50Holly wants to be part of it.
33:53All right,
33:54Miss Danson,
33:54so sisterhood is coming.
33:56Yes.
33:58How's it going?
33:59Update me.
34:00It's better than I expected.
34:02I loved philanthropy rounds.
34:04I got the max amount
34:06of houses back
34:07that you're able to get,
34:08which is like,
34:09yes,
34:10so exciting.
34:11I have loved
34:12basically every single house
34:13I've been into,
34:14which is honestly
34:15making it kind of hard.
34:17So no mean girl run-ins
34:19during philanthropy?
34:20No.
34:21I didn't have to worry about it.
34:22So going into sisterhood,
34:24are you leaning
34:26toward one in particular?
34:28Kappa Delta
34:28like has my heart
34:30after philanthropy.
34:31I honestly head over gills
34:33for them right now.
34:34I want you to get past
34:35the I'm happy feeling emotions.
34:37You have the max houses.
34:39You're in a secure position
34:41to where you can start
34:42looking going,
34:44is there a red flag at KD?
34:45There might not be.
34:46Sometimes evaluating
34:48option A, B, C, and D
34:50makes us know
34:50that we love option A.
34:52It also may be
34:53that really option D
34:54is better for us.
34:55It's a great problem to have.
34:57The other ones
34:58may be discovering you
34:59and they may have
35:00a different attitude today.
35:01So get ready.
35:01Yeah, I know.
35:03I'm excited.
35:04I'm excited for you.
35:05And that's what I,
35:06that's where I want you to be.
35:08Enjoy the process.
35:09Jensen will win.
35:12Okay?
35:13Yeah.
35:18Sisterhood is the round
35:19for the PNMs
35:21and the Story Sisters
35:22to really get to know
35:24each other
35:24on a personal level.
35:26Don't you bring
35:26all the houses
35:27that I picked
35:28that I said
35:29I wanted back,
35:29I got all of them back.
35:30My excitement level
35:32was like so high.
35:34I said,
35:34yeah,
35:34it's going to be
35:35such a good day
35:35and I'm so excited
35:36to get to talk
35:38to all the houses again.
35:41You heard from Caroline?
35:42Eight houses could pick her.
35:44She was chosen back by five.
35:47I was just going to say,
35:47is she feeling stressed?
35:49What is happening?
35:49I'm stressed.
35:50She didn't get a call back
35:51from Zeta,
35:52which was sad
35:53because she really liked them.
35:54But all of her favorites
35:55are still in the mix.
35:57She obviously really loved
35:58KD and 5U.
35:59That was two of her top ones.
36:01So she gets invited back.
36:02Shouldn't she go back
36:03to all the ones
36:04she's invited to?
36:04She doesn't decline anybody,
36:06does she?
36:06No.
36:07Bill gave her the advice
36:08to go back.
36:08Just keep her very open mind.
36:10I'm just excited to see,
36:12you know,
36:12who picks her
36:13out of this round now.
36:13She's been,
36:14I know,
36:15been calling me every day
36:16and we've been talking,
36:16but Bill told me
36:17to kind of lay low
36:19and not get too involved
36:20at this point.
36:21Is that true?
36:21Is she actually laying low?
36:23I think we know the answer.
36:24That's a little tough.
36:25You know what?
36:25I think we should see
36:26if she posted her OTD today.
36:28I've never been
36:28on the TikTok train
36:29until now.
36:30Let me see.
36:31Oh my gosh,
36:32look, there it is.
36:32She posted it.
36:34Hey guys.
36:35Here's her OTD
36:36for day one
36:37of Sisterhood.
36:38Here she is.
36:39Day one of Sisterhood.
36:40This shirt is from
36:41You Are Panhellenic,
36:42obviously.
36:43This is a dress
36:44from Fancy D.
36:45Okay, so she wore
36:46that over a dress.
36:47It's a dress.
36:47That's cute.
36:48Necklace I got yesterday.
36:49That was a rush cap.
36:50All the same.
36:54Bracelets, ring.
36:55Thank you, Dad.
36:56Yeah, I don't recognize
36:56any of that.
36:57We are just so ready
36:58for Sisterhood.
37:00She does know
37:01that she's there
37:01to go to class also
37:03when all of this...
37:04Yes, yes.
37:06For sure.
37:06Pref Day is the final round.
37:16The sororities
37:16pick their top list.
37:17The girls pick
37:18their preferences,
37:19one or two.
37:19They present themselves
37:20in the best possible fashion.
37:23Okay, so today was Pref
37:24and I got back
37:26both the houses I wanted.
37:28Which are...
37:28And then I had
37:28the first two parties.
37:30So tell me.
37:305U and Kappa Delta.
37:32I'm in KD grade
37:33and you're in 5U pink
37:34so we get to decide
37:35between the two.
37:36Through the week,
37:36have you always liked
37:37one of these sororities more?
37:395U I have leaned towards
37:41throughout the week.
37:42Why do you think
37:42made you think,
37:43hmm, maybe I need
37:44to be a KD?
37:45I think it was just
37:46the group.
37:47It just felt so homey.
37:48Let's don't underestimate that.
37:50That's great.
37:50You feel comfortable there.
37:52Forget the color pink.
37:54I can send people say,
37:55it's your favorite color.
37:56It's a sign.
37:56It's a sign.
37:57We ain't picking
37:58who we're going to be
37:59based upon a Crayola box.
38:01Be confident
38:02in the choices
38:02and decisions you make.
38:04Wherever you end up,
38:05it might not be
38:06what you thought,
38:07but maybe the universe,
38:09maybe the good Lord,
38:10whatever you think
38:11is placing you
38:12where you need to be.
38:13Once you mark it,
38:16done.
38:23Big day's exciting
38:25because it is over.
38:26You made it.
38:28You got through this.
38:30This is like
38:31the final rose ceremony
38:32for recruitment.
38:34This is the day
38:35you find out
38:36who your sisters
38:37are going to be.
38:44OOTD for a big day!
38:47On Cloud E. Newton.
38:49Tori Birch.
38:50Oh my gosh,
38:52we made it!
38:53We made it!
38:54Beautiful day for a big day.
38:56Big day is so crazy.
38:58There are thousands
38:59of people walking the campus.
39:01Big day is like
39:02running with the bulls
39:03in Papaloma, Spain.
39:04You got your mother,
39:05you got your grandmother,
39:06you got your grandfather,
39:06you got your uncles,
39:07you got reluctant brothers,
39:08you got everybody there,
39:09we're running and going.
39:10It is like the opening ceremony
39:12for the Olympics.
39:13And let me tell you,
39:14the medals are being awarded.
39:15Oh, I hear the people,
39:17I'm just going to follow the crowd.
39:26Where did she say she was?
39:27I said she's to the left of the day.
39:31We are going to have to push and shove
39:33to get our way to the front
39:34so we can find Caroline.
39:35Biggest thing that makes me nervous right now
39:40is that, you know,
39:41she's going to have her heart set
39:42on one certain one
