Anheuser-Busch executives credited the rise to its heavy sports sponsorship strategy, including becoming the NBA’s first global beer sponsor and securing partnerships with the PGA Tour, FIFA World Cup 2026, and the LA 2028 Olympics. The brand’s focus on active and social lifestyles, established since its 2002 launch, has helped sustain momentum. Industry analysts noted Michelob Ultra has become the growth leader across retail and draft channels, ending Modelo’s run at the top that began after Bud Light’s 2023 sales decline.
