Nvidia shares fell in premarket trading on Tuesday, giving back some of Monday’s gains after Huawei unveiled an aggressive three-year plan to challenge the U.S. chipmaker’s AI leadership. Chairman Eric Xu unveiled a three-year plan at its Connect conference to challenge Nvidia’s AI leadership by clustering Ascend processors with a new UnifiedBus system. Huawei also introduced new memory designs and roadmaps for its next Ascend chips, while acknowledging its processors still trail Nvidia in raw performance.
