00:00Did you know that Thailand has some surprising laws that most people don't know about?

00:04Let's dive in.

00:05Law number one, coin banknotes still have value.

00:08If your Thai banknote is ripped right down the middle,

00:11you will only get half of its value back.

00:13This comes from Thailand Currency Act 1958.

00:17Law number two, no fighting in public.

00:23If you argue or brawl on the street, you could face a fine of up to 5,000 baht.

00:27That's Criminal Code Section 372.

00:30So, better save your arguments for home.

00:33And here's the big one.

00:34If you live on someone else's land for 10 years without being stopped,

00:38you can actually claim the ownership of that.

00:41That's right, Civil and Commercial Code Section 1382 makes it possible.
