00:00Welcome everyone. So yes, a lot of people thought that the answer for this question is supposed to be 8.
00:05Because 80% divided by 10% the answer is 8, correct?
00:09But no, that is not right.
00:10See, when you have percentage, you can convert them into fraction by dividing 80 by 100.
00:18Now we had 80% which can be written as 80 upon 100 divided by 10% which is 10 upon 100.
00:27Now when we want to do division of fractions, we need to follow the rule of KCF.
00:32Where KA stands for keeping the first number as it is.
00:36C stands for changing the division sign to multiplication.
00:40F stands for flipping or taking reciprocal of 10 upon 100 which is 100 upon 10.
00:45So this and this gets cancelled. This is 1s are and 8s are.
00:48So yes, you are right. The answer is what this one is supposed to be 8.
00:52But since then we are looking for an answer in terms of percentage,
00:55you need to realize when the percent was given, you divided by 100.
00:58Now they have given us a number.
01:00When they have given us a number and you want to go back to percentage,
01:03you need to multiply by 100, correct?
01:06So this will get multiplied by 100.
01:08So answer for this question is supposed to be 800%.
01:12I hope this is very very clear to everyone.
01:16That's it for today.
