00:00Specifically since taking on the Arberton site in 2016, the Executive
00:04Office has invested over £37 million to develop and regenerate it. This
00:09investment, along with £40 million of private finances, has been transformative
00:13for the site alone, attracting a variety of new businesses and creating more than
00:17360 jobs. In March we officially opened the new headquarters of software
00:22consultancy firm Alchemy Technology at the state-of-the-art Arberton Plaza and
00:26this was followed a few months later by the Ernest & Young opening in its new
00:31Northwest Regional Office at the Plaza. In addition, and then even in the last week
00:35we've had the Seagate announcement also, in addition the site has become a vibrant
00:41hub for creative, cultural, sporting and charitable and other community-led
00:45events. The Executive Office has also committed £3.3 million of funding towards
00:49the DNA Museum which is a key part of the overall redevelopment of the square and
00:54junior ministers are looking forward to visiting Arberton later this week to see
00:57construction getting underway on this important new regional visitor
01:00attraction. Would you make the point about the site transferring over to the
01:05Council? That's been ongoing for quite a considerable period of time but
01:09realising the full potential of the Arberton site for the whole of the city,
01:12the Northwest and indeed just the Northwest more generally, is a shared
01:16priority across multiple stakeholders in the Northwest and we're focused on
01:20delivering on those shared ambitions and improving processes and partnerships to
01:24achieve them. Discussions are still ongoing with the Council as we speak to
01:29transfer, to progress the transfer of the site and the full transfer is complex
01:34we're told and it's taken some time to complete but I can tell you that it is
01:38all on train and actively being worked on.
