The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will hold its first meeting in five years next month in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia's trade minister says the bloc is considering expanding its membership.

00:24The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership includes the 10 ASEAN members,

00:33Next month will be the group's first meeting since signing an agreement in 2020 to reduce tariffs and increase investment.
00:39Analysts say the partnership could be an important buffer against U.S. tariffs.
