02:41witnesses Ruth's daughter now claiming he's not getting a fair shake they're not letting him speak
02:48up and to speak what he wants to say they kind of shut him down on every everything so I don't think
02:54it's been fair were you surprised he didn't want to take the stand in his own behalf no why would he do
02:58that when they've been bullying him at every turn and making up closing arguments are set to begin at

03:19statement saying quote last Wednesday we made the decision to suspend production to avoid further
03:23inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country we have spent the last days having
03:29thoughtful conversations with Jimmy and after those conversations we've reached the decision to
03:34return the show on Tuesday however the Sinclair broadcast group which operates 30 ABC affiliates

04:51impressive people right here congratulations to the Detroit Lions also extremely impressive they put a wrap
04:56on week three the huge win over the Baltimore Ravens rushing for over 200 very seriously and they have taken
05:02strong and decisive action due to student privacy laws we cannot disclose the specific accountability actions but
05:09they have exceeded what our regulations would otherwise require in cases of dangerous and unsportsmanlike
05:15behavior the mom of that injured player understandably destroyed first was like is that my son and as soon
05:25as it clicked that it was I I couldn't be stopped I had to go down there it was I've never felt anything
05:30like it I've never been as upset or shaken up as I was over something for my son Kalamazoo Public Schools
05:38also responding writing quote this type of behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the values of
05:43sportsmanship respect and integrity that Kalamazoo Public Schools expect from student athletes coaches
05:49and the entire school community the student's behavior has been addressed and the student involved
05:54has received consequences consistent with the Kalamazoo Public Schools student code of conduct
06:00and in compliance with the Michigan High School Athletic Association regulations
06:04meanwhile Lakeshore High School says quote we can't share any information at this time
06:09other than that we are working with the other school about the situation Kalamazoo has not released
06:14what the player's punishment will be the mother of the injured Lakeshore player does say her son is
06:19finished for the season but thankfully is expected to make a full recovery thank god for that
06:25president trump making an announcement linking tylenol use during pregnancy to an increase in autism
06:31due to the active ingredient acetaminophen used in the over-the-counter drug
06:37tylenol during pregnancy can be associated with a very increased risk of autism so taking tylenol
06:50is uh not good all right i'll say it it's not good for this reason they are strongly recommending that women limit tylenol use during pregnancy unless medically necessary
07:07joining me now is special needs advocate and the parent of an autistic child john featherston
07:12and cardiologist and internal medicine physician Dr. Pyle Kohli good morning to you both thank you
07:19both so much for joining us doctor i'll start with you what do you think about the president's announcement yesterday
07:26you know i have to say that i want to commend the administration for looking into increased causes
07:31of autism which we know the incidence of autism has been increasing in recent years but we really have to
07:36be careful here interpreting the science because what the science has shown us is an association between
07:43use of acetaminophen and increased risk of autism now note that i said association and not causation
07:49so what i mean here is we're not clear if tylenol is just a marker of something risky like a fever an
07:55infection a migraine or something else or tylenol is actually involved in the risk and the challenge here
08:01really comes from the fact that it's hard to study pregnant women because it's not ethical to randomize
08:05them which is what would establish causation so there's certainly a link there but i think we need
08:10a lot more science to figure out exactly what the nature of that link is john as a parent what are
08:15your thoughts on this you know good morning carly i'm i'm just thankful after 27 years of my family
08:23dealing with autism we're able to have this conversation and i think this conversation will lead to
08:28positive positive developments in this thing because you know little kids with autism grow up to be
08:35adults with autism and they fight you know this battle for the rest of their life transportation
08:40housing job stability uh i'm just thankful for the opportunity that we can talk about this on the
08:46national scale this morning dr coley the parent company of tylenol has rejected the claims made by
08:51the trump administration saying we believe independent sound science clearly shows that taking acetaminophen
08:58does not cause autism and are deeply concerned with the health risk this poses for expecting mothers the
09:04facts are that over a decade of rigorous research endorsed by leading medical professionals and global
09:11health regulators confirms there is no credible evidence linking acetaminophen to autism and one of
09:17those studies was conducted just last year it covered nearly 2.5 million births in sweden
09:22and it found no increased autism risk when exposing children to acetaminophen in the womb so doctor
09:29with that in mind where do we go from here you know i would say it's complicated the science so
09:35far it's probably inconclusive i wouldn't say it's definitive one way or the other but i do feel
09:41very comfortable based on the decades of data that we have telling my pregnant patients that they
09:46can use acetaminophen safely in the shortest duration possible for the shortest dose because we know
09:52that there's a lot of pain that there's a lot of people who are not using it and exposing the baby and
09:55the placenta and the mom to fever to infection to pain are all bad things as well and the sweetest
10:02study that you talk about from last year with two and a half million kids what was really interesting
10:06about that is that they used what's called a sibling control because we know autism is complicated
10:10there's many factors involved including genetics and environmental exposures so they compared two siblings
10:16in the same family same parents presumably same environmental exposures and one got exposed to thailand
10:22one didn't and then look to see if there was a difference so i think the science is still
10:26evolving but in the meantime the american college of obstetrics and gynecology the autism science
10:32foundation many others say we don't want women to be afraid of using tylenol because the pain
10:37the fever the infection that could also be harmful for the baby as well john are you hopeful that this
10:43with this level of attention and focus that real progress can be made that that is the goal carly i mean
10:51like i said national spotlight on this you know i don't pretend to know what causes autism i lean
10:56towards environmental and the pacing of the vaccines but let's let's just investigate this and try to
11:03find out because there are so many families that are struggling with this and conversation is going to
11:09lead us to positive results so i i praise the administration for having this conversation and
11:14president trump called this the biggest medical announcement in the history of our country so they
11:18certainly are making it a focus john dr coley thank you both so much for joining us thank you good
11:26morning good morning you're very welcome thank you all right senior meteorologist janice dean is here with
11:30our fox weather forecast hi janice hi good morning look at this thing yesterday it was a cat one now we
11:35have a category four hurricane in the atlantic the good news is moving away from bermuda moving away from the
11:42u.s 140 mile per hour sustained winds put a weekend a little bit move towards the azores over the next few
11:48days still bringing some rough surf along the east coast and then look at this perking up in the atlantic
11:55we have gabrielle and then we have a couple of areas to watch moving through the caribbean moving
11:59towards the caribbean 80 chance of development for this one a little bit west of the islands here but a 50
12:07chance of development as this one gets closer towards the southeast the good news is it's battling a
12:13lot upper level air disturbances and we have dust in the atmosphere so we're hoping things don't
12:19develop but you can see here's our exclusive tropical threat model from fox weather things could
12:25start to shape up over the next few days and something we need to monitor in the meantime indirect
12:31impacts here with high rip currents if you're headed to the beach today you want to stay out of the water
12:35for the most part because it's going to be a rough surf day here's the forecast uh including the severe
12:40threat today for parts of the central u.s the plain states hail damaging winds isolated tornadoes look at
12:46the heat across phoenix 102 right now so a lot of the country above average a cold front moving through
12:52is going to bring temperatures down across the rockies we're going to get a little rain here in the
12:56northeast which is a good news situation it's been really nice but we need the rainfall and we will
13:01continue to monitor the tropics okay let's monitor those tropics do it it is your assignment you're on
13:09it.com thank you so much see you soon all right president trump signing a newly confirmed u.n
13:14ambassador michael waltz issuing a stark warning after russian fighter jets violated estonian airspace
13:22the united states stands by our nato allies in the face of these airspace violations and i
13:28want to take this first opportunity to repeat and to emphasize the united states and our allies will
13:37defend every inch of nato territory russia must urgently stop such dangerous behavior estonian officials
13:46say the jets were armed and in their airspace for at least 12 minutes but russia is denying the
13:51incursion claims calling them groundless accusations todd president trump taking the stage at the united
13:59nations in just a few hours to deliver a wide-ranging address to world leaders for the first time in his
14:05second term with the war in gaza topping the agenda it all comes as an increasing number of u.s
14:10allies including france canada and the uk are now formally recognizing a palestinian state the wall street
14:17journal editorial board slamming those countries saying the following quote recognizing the state
14:23is intended as safe diplomatic theater for their western domestic audiences detached from the harsh
14:30middle east reality the palestinians have consistently chosen the struggle to destroy israel
14:35rather than the offer of a state alongside it to say quote let them have a canada australia at
14:42all now say is to make hamas's day former deputy national security advisor and heritage foundation
14:49vp of national security victoria coats joins me now and victoria to follow up on that wall street
14:55journal article british prime minister keir starmer stated that this is not his words not a reward
15:02for hamas but boy to follow up on what the wall street journal said it sure feels that way doesn't it
15:08come to victoria well good morning yes it does and i mean prime minister starmer is just incorrect i mean
15:16this is a huge reward for hamas we're on the eve of the second anniversary of the october 7th attacks
15:22on israel one of the worst attacks in israel's history which murdered americans as well as israelis
15:28and to get to give them this kind of recognition it's just it defies defies good sense and it's also as
15:37as the journal said, it's theater. This isn't real. It's not binding. It's just an act. It's
15:43pandering, as they said, to a far-left domestic base, and it's only going to encourage Hamas
15:49to more terrorist attacks. So in response, what does President Trump need to say when he addresses
15:54the U.N. General Assembly today? I think he should say that the pressure should be on Hamas,
16:02that they shouldn't be given rewards. They should be pressured to give back the remaining
16:06hostages, lay down their arms, and surrender. And then we can get this war resolved and get on
16:11to a new phase in the Middle East. I think the president's going to talk about his historic
16:15role as a peacemaker. That is a huge theme of his second term. He's wrapped up seven conflicts so
16:21far. He's got this one, and then Russia, Ukraine, in his sights. This is just his first year. So
16:27I think he is going to point out to the U.N. that these multilateral institutions have failed to
16:32bring peace over the last 80 years, but that he, as the leader of the free world,
16:37as the leader of the United States, can bring peace. And so I think that's going to be a really
16:42powerful message today. In addition to his speech, the president's going to be meeting with the
16:46leaders of a number of Arab and Muslim countries. Are you expecting anything significant to come out
16:52of that meeting? Specifically, do you think that these leaders will ultimately agree to the U.S.
16:57plan for post-war management of Gaza? I actually think they will. I think that there's a pretty
17:05clear path here for how the strip can be rebuilt. The president's very interested in that issue,
17:10making a better future for the Palestinians who live in Gaza. Some of them might have to move for
17:16a period of time to enable that rebuilding. I think that our Arab partners and friends should be open to
17:22that. And then figuring out how we're going to finance it. This shouldn't just be a burden on the U.S.
17:26taxpayer. You know, it should be something that's borne by the region, you know, to create that
17:31better future for those Palestinians living there. It's important also to note that today is Rosh
17:37Hashanah, and the Israeli contingent will not be participating. Scheduling quirk, obviously,
17:43U.N. General Assembly always happens around now. Rosh Hashanah always happens around now. But it's
17:47unfortunate that the Israelis won't be at the table today for something that basically affects them
17:52and them alone in many respects. Victoria Coates, thank you for your insight on all this. We
17:57appreciate it. Thank you.
18:11Students honoring Charlie Kirk at Turning Point USA's first event since Charlie Kirk's assassination.
18:17Michael Knowles was the host of the event and honored Kirk with an empty chair on stage.
18:24This event was originally supposed to be a conversation between me and Charlie.
18:30Now it will be a conversation about Charlie. He wanted to be remembered for his faith.
18:35He wanted to help as many souls to heaven as he could. If you want to honor Charlie, go to church,
18:42read the Bible, pray, and do it right now. Campus reform correspondent and volunteer at the University
18:50of Minnesota Twin Cities event, Sam Spainer joins me now. Sam, thank you so much for joining us.
18:55Tell us what it was like inside that auditorium. Absolutely. Thank you for having me. Good morning.
19:02The atmosphere last night was electric. I think there was a lot of pressure for the team who was putting
19:10this on to, you know, after everything that happened with Charlie, this is the first event. And I think
19:18it, I think it went the best it could. I mean, honestly, it was phenomenal.
19:23And we're looking at that chair right behind Michael Knowles. It's an empty chair where Charlie
19:29should have been seated. And it's draped in that same white freedom t-shirt that he was wearing
19:34when he was assassinated. How did you feel about that imagery?
19:39I think it was very powerful. I think it was very moving.
19:43None of us volunteers kind of knew that Michael was going to do that. But absolutely, I think that
19:49was a very beautiful tribute to Charlie. What was the conversation like? What was Michael Knowles' message?
19:55Michael Knowles' message. He talked about a lot of things. He took a lot of questions.
20:02That was mainly his kind of point of the evening was to kind of continue what Charlie started.
20:09It was encouraging. It was, it was.
20:17Trump's first president urges his boss. Sorry, one more time.
20:25Trump's first president urges his old boss against raising taxes on wealthy Americans.
20:34President Donald Trump, in a phone call this week, urged House Speaker Johnson to raise taxes
20:41on the highest income earners. Fox News has confirmed.
20:45Former Vice President Mike Pence has a message for his old boss.
20:50Pence is urging President Donald Trump, under whom he served as vice president in Trump's first
20:57administration, not to raise the tax rate on wealthy Americans.
21:04Trump's 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the signature domestic achievement of his first White House term,
21:12is scheduled to expire this year if it's not extended by Congress.
21:16Now, the Trump White House and some congressional Republicans, for weeks,
21:22have moved letting the tax reductions on the wealthy sunset as a way to pay for the rest of the tax cuts,
21:29as well as Trump's other pricey second-term priorities.
21:32And now, the president, during a Wednesday phone call, pushed House Speaker Mike Johnson to raise taxes on the highest income earners
21:41and closed the carried interest loophole in the reconciliation process.
21:47Fox News Digital has confirmed.
21:49The development was first reported Thursday by Punchbowl News.
21:53Now, listen to this.
21:56A source familiar with Trump's thinking said Trump is considering allowing the rate on individuals making 2.5 million or more
22:04to increase by 2.6% to from 37, 39.6%.
22:11That's a lot of dosh, that is. That's a lot of dosh.
22:14A source familiar with Trump's thinking said Trump is considering allowing the rate on individuals making 2.5 million or more
22:38to increase by 2.6% from 37% to 39.6%.
22:44And now, that's a fortune, that is.
22:47But Pence, a fiscal conservative and budget orc during his long political career in the House of Representatives,
22:54as Indian...
22:55I said Indian instead of Indiana.
22:59But Pence, as fiscal conservative and budget orc during his long political career in the House of Representatives,
23:12as Indiana governor and as vice president, strongly cautioned against upping the rates on the highest earners.
23:19Any suggestion that I've heard among some around the administration that we raise the top margin rate,
23:29the so-called millionaire's tax, would be an enormous tax increase on small business owners across America,
23:36Pence said.
23:37It needs to be opposed.
23:39And the former vice president, in an interview with Fox News Digital this week,
23:45argued that the majority of people that file taxes of a million dollars are simply individuals that own businesses
23:52and they file their taxes as an individual but then blow that money back into their company.
23:59If you raise that top margin, it would be an enormous tax increase on small businesses in America.
24:05Let's make all the Trump-Pence tax cuts permanent.
24:10That's a way to really lay a foundation to grow the economy in days ahead, Pence urged.
24:16Pence, who was interviewed by Boston after receiving the John F. Kennedy Profiles Encourage Award,
24:24gave President Trump all the credit in the world for a historic victory last November
24:30and for sparing the country one more liberal Democrat administration.
24:34He also praised Trump not only for his victory but for securing our southern border,
24:40for restoring morale and recruitment in our military, for taking the fight to the Hothis.
24:46But he argued that I truly do believe that some of the other steps the president is taking away from
24:52that conservative agenda should be a concern that would work against him in his legacy,
24:58ultimately the success of our party or our country,
25:01and so we're going to continue to be a voice against them.
25:05I really do believe that for prosperity, for the success of our whole country,
25:11we need to stick to those time-honoured principles of strong American defence.
25:16American leadership on the world stage, less government taxes,
25:20traditional morale values and the right to life.
25:22and I'm going to be a voice for that, Pence added.
25:28Okay, that was good.
