00:08ng National Electrification Administration, ONEA.
00:12Admin, magandang tanghali po.
00:16Good afternoon. Good afternoon po.
00:35Okay, to start with, there are about 480,000 household connections affected.
00:44It's a sale na lang natin.
00:47Sa Abreco, there are more or less 55,000 connections
00:53that are still in total power interruption.
00:58The cause of power interruption is the backbone line of NGCP.
01:04I think there's a fault on that.
01:06So, we are awaiting the measures of NGCP
01:10on how to restore power in the areas of Abra.
01:13In Batanelco, there are about only 7,000 connections
01:22that are affected now as we speak.
01:25Because, you know, Batanelco is composed of three major islands.
01:29Sa Vasco, I think Vasco is well okay.
01:32Pero yung sa dalawang islands na, let me see.
01:40Sa dalawang islands sa, let me check ah.
01:48Sa dalawang islands sa Saptang and Itbayat,
01:53we are still assessing.
02:00So, wala pang final assessment.
02:03But in the areas of Vasco, Batanes, the main island,
02:06I think it was fully restored already this morning.
02:10Same thing with Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative.
02:15There are about 193, more or less, 1,000 household connections.
02:20And they are still in total power interruption as of 11 a.m.
02:27because of line assessment, no?
02:31And, ah, there are, ah, ongoing line assessment right now.
02:36Kung merong kailangan i-restore na po-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co.
02:39or if there was any fault in the substation operations.
02:42In the area of Cagayan Electric Cooperative 1, there are about 6 out of 12 municipalities that are still in partial power interruption.
02:56That 6 out of 12 municipalities, there are about 66,000 households connection still.
03:03Also in Cagelco 2, I think, which is more hardly hit than Cagelco 1, there are 22 out of the 22 municipalities are greatly affected.
03:23It also affected about 156,000 households.
03:28Though there are only partial power interruption right now due to various causes, one of which is the NGCP backbone still.
03:39And the other reason is toppled poles of the 69 KV line of Cagelco 2.
04:05Well, in the case of Abra and Cagelco 2, there is a fault in the NGCP backbone.
04:12So that's the transmission line and we have to await some feedback from NGCP of when and how it can be restored within the day.
04:24But on the areas of Batanelco, Batanes, Ilocos Norte, and Cagelco 1,
04:31it is the standard line assessment or assessment of damage from the distribution poles.
04:41I don't think there is any contributory factor from NGCP backbone.
04:48Normally, they would assess papasadahan nila lahat ng distribution infrastructure
04:57both in trying to assess the damage and to know the extent of value of damage that are involved.
05:25Well, NEA is in the forefront of consolidating augmentation.
05:34We call it Task Force Kapatiran.
05:36Once we are able to come up with an assessment,
05:41then we will send delegates from the nearby cooperatives to augment and immediately restore power in the area.
05:50Yun ang normal na ginagawa ng NEA through the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association of the Philippines.
06:16I believe sa Mirasol, we were able to recover already.
06:25I think that there was full restoration already on the damage caused by Typhoon Mirasol.
06:30So we are now focused just on the damage caused by Typhoon Nando.
06:58Yes, we were advised by Pakistan that there is also an upcoming low pressure area that might be considered a typhoon.
07:13So kami po ay nakikipag-ugnayan na sa DOE Task Force on Resiliency and sa DOST Pag-asa.
07:26My NEA DRRMD is in close coordination already.
07:29And we are trying to assess and we have already sent advice to the concerned electric cooperatives to be on standby.
07:41And there is a standard protocol on matters like this.
07:59To all our televiewers, we are not yet able to come up with an objective assessment.
08:08The electric cooperatives in Abra, Batanes, Ilocos Torte, and Cagayagvari are still in the process of assessing.
08:17And rest assured that these cooperatives are in full force to restore power as soon as possible.
08:26All right. Maraming salamat po sa inyong oras, National Electrification Administration Administrator Antonio Almeda.
08:37Thank you, sir.
08:40Maraming salamat po.
