00:00Fall in a glass. Fall in a glass. Fall into the glass. Why not?
00:04Fall's here, and you know what that means? Red wine.
00:07Which is the perfect thing to drink in front of a fire, and we have four great options.
00:11First up, Cote de Rhone. This is a blend of 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah.
00:16Syrah's power and pepperiness is the perfect match for the kind of silky richness of the Grenache.
00:22Then we have Rioja. Great. Red wine of Spain. Mostly Tempranillo.
00:26Just perfect with anything you roast. Let's put it that way.
00:29And next up, a classic Chianti Classico. This is Kirchabella Chianti Classico, aged for 24 months.
00:36You're going to have a little bit of toast and oak, all made from Sangiovese.
00:39It's a pretty tasty, delicious classic style.
00:42It's a wonderful wine maker, too, and they work organically and biodynamically.
00:46Last, we have Zinfandel, the great red grape of California.
00:50And this is Fred Scherer, a brilliant wine maker. This one we're actually going to drink.
00:53So Zinfandel always has this rich red fruit, kind of red berry fruit, plus pepperiness, spiciness.
00:58It's like the ultimate burger wine, I always think.
01:01It's like baking spices. It's so nice.
01:03Ah, that's really good. That's from Sonoma, where there are a lot of hundred-year-old vines of Zinfandel that never got pulled out.
01:10And they make just fantastic wines. Cheers.
