00:00Could you repeat yourself?
00:05I'm doing okay, but I'm not 100% yet.
00:08Yeah, you're still kind of learning and growing and getting used to this whole digital thing.
00:16That's right.
00:17I'm learning something new every day.
00:21Well, I'm a little bit nervous.
00:22Do you have any advice for me while I'm talking to everybody?
00:30Just try to relax and be yourself.
00:33If you stay calm and just answer their questions, it should be fine.
00:37You kind of make it sound like I'm in a police interview.
00:39I think they're pretty nice.
00:41Any advice for just being funny and charming?
00:49Just be yourself.
00:51You have a way of making people laugh and feel comfortable.
00:54So just let that shine through.
00:57All right.
00:58Thanks, Mom.
00:58I love you.
00:59I'll talk to you in a little bit.
01:00I love you too, Justin.
01:07I'll be here when you get back.
01:09Okay, bye-bye.
01:11Wow.
01:13It's fascinating.
01:14Listen, I can understand, Justin, why that is such a powerful thing for you to be able to get on the phone.
01:21To all intents and purposes, I'm sure that's your mum talking to you.
01:25I'm really intrigued.
01:26Our psychologist, Linda Popolopoulos, is here in the studio.
01:29I think we have to start with understanding how grief works, right?
01:32So when we grieve, we have to oscillate between the memories of that person and the pain and then moving forward.
01:39And you've got to kind of imagine it's sort of a pendulum.
01:42And so looking at photos, listening to videos, maybe doing what Justin is doing here, right?
01:48Is that part of, like, is that part of, like, that engagement.
01:50And then, but we have to move forward into the real world.
01:52And the research that we have with grief, one of the things that we know keeps people stuck in something.
01:58Clinically, we speak about prolonged grief disorder, where it becomes something bigger that you're not moving on.
