Genre: Pop-punk / Emo rock transitioning into darker tones
Story Summary
Scootaloo takes her test and fails. Her wings betray her, and she crashes instead of soaring. The crowd watches in disappointment, some with pity, others with scorn. Scootaloo feels her dream shatter in an instant. All the hope of âFinal Flightâ is replaced with humiliation and despair. The tone of the album shifts here: from uplifting determination to the start of her downward spiral toward the Factory.
Lyrics
The wind betrayed me, slipped through my wings, The silence cuts deeper than anything. The clouds I reached for drifted away, My dreams all vanish in one single day.
Eyes upon me, whispers grow, A fallen star theyâll never know. The laughter echoes, sharp and cruel, A broken filly, just a fool.
(Chorus) Fall from grace, the sky denies, Hope is shattered in their eyes. All I wanted, all I dreamed, Crushed beneath the crowdâs cruel screams.
Rainbowâs gazeâso cold, so still, Did I ever have her will? Her shadow towers, far above, Iâll never earn her pride or love.
Tears burn hotter than the sun, The race was over, never won. The world I built, the life I planned, Crumbling fast like glass in hand.
(Chorus) Fall from grace, the sky denies, Hope is shattered in their eyes. All I wanted, all I dreamed, Crushed beneath the crowdâs cruel screams.
(Bridge â despair builds) I swore my wings would never fail, But now Iâm trapped inside this jail. No second chance, no light to chase, Forever marked, this fall from grace.
(Outro â dark, quiet) Fall from grace⊠my wings wonât fly, Dreams are dead beneath the sky.
