00:00In an unspecified future, 20-year-old individuals of the impoverished inland have a single opportunity to complete the process and advance to the affluence of the distant offshore society.
00:10The story begins with Michele Santana sitting down and staring at her messy wall.
00:15At that moment, she hears a whistle and quickly looks over her window to see her friend Bruna calling who lives on the same block as her.
00:21She puts on her treasured necklace while her earpiece informs her that the gates to the selection process are open, and the estimated time of her walk is 47 minutes.
00:29Michele then greets Bruna with a hug, and they begin walking in the same direction alongside many other people who are also heading to the selection process.
00:36While walking through the street, we see that they reside in a dirty and slummy environment with no trees or nature.
00:42Nonetheless, the residents all around bid them and their loved ones good luck.
00:46Along the way, a creepy woman tells Michele that she lasted three days, and she bets they won't even last one.
00:53When they get to a place that looks like the entrance, Bruna hugs her sister and tells her she can't come any further.
00:58Upon arrival into the process, everybody changes into some kind of uniform.
01:03Afterwards, they're all gathered together and welcomed by Ezekiel, who is the leader of the process.
01:07After welcoming them, Ezekiel reveals that only 3% of the candidates will make it to the offshore, the perfect world with no injustice or poverty.
01:15He also makes them repeat the following words after him.
01:18We are grateful for the chance of a better way of life, and so we thank you.
01:22After the introduction, Ezekiel heads back to his office and meets Alina on the way, who reveals that she was sent to evaluate the process this year,
01:30and Ezekiel confirms her identity by holding a circular device up to her ear.
01:34After that, he returns to his office and calls Nair to express his displeasure about sending someone to evaluate him with no warning.
01:41Nair explains that they have bigger things to discuss as someone who made it to the offshore murdered somebody last time,
01:47so people want to blame him for the first homicide in their history, and if he wants to remain the process leader, there will have to be no problems this year.
01:55Meanwhile, the interviews begin for the participants.
01:58They're asked some normal stuff about their lives, and also some pretty strange questions.
02:02Michele is asked if she knows anyone who's passed the process, to which she reveals that her boyfriend Luis passed it last year,
02:09and that's why she has her special necklace from him.
02:12Meanwhile, another candidate gets eliminated for trying too hard and talking too much.
02:16Back to Michele, she almost gets eliminated as the interviewer suspects she only wants to pass to be with Luis.
02:21She remains calm and discards her necklace to prove that she isn't doing the process for him,
02:26and as a result, the interviewer approves her for the next round,
02:29saying that she did the right thing because Luis is dead.
02:33On the other hand, Ezekiel receives some news regarding an infiltrator from the cause,
02:37a rebellious organization that stood up to fight the system of inland versus offshore.
02:42Cassia tells him that they've captured one going by the name Jorge,
02:45and while interrogating him, he told them that one of this year's candidates is a mole for the cause.
02:50He hasn't given a name yet, but she believes it's just a matter of time.
02:54Meanwhile, we see the cause in an unknown location arguing about if Jorge would betray them or not.
02:59One of them says they must assume that everything he knew, the process knows,
03:03because no one can withstand their interrogation tactics.
03:06While the approved proceed to the next stage, those who couldn't make it are forced to leave.
03:11Suddenly, the guy that was eliminated earlier landed in front of the candidates.
03:15It appears that he couldn't bear the reality of not making it, and is quickly taken away by the medics.
03:20The participants are then taken to be scanned in order to verify their registration chips.
03:24In the line, a girl named Joanna notices that the guy in front of her has stitches in his ear,
03:29which probably means he has a false registration.
03:32She confronts him about it, but he says that he has no idea what she's talking about,
03:36and luckily he is not caught by the scanning machine.
03:39The next test will evaluate their spatial logic and geometric reasoning,
03:43and so they have three minutes to assemble at least nine cubes with the pieces in front of them,
03:47and any fewer will be eliminated.
03:49Michele begins by helping Fernando gather pieces as he's in a wheelchair,
03:53which the other candidates don't understand because it's every man for himself.
03:57When time's nearly up, Michele panics as she doesn't have nine cubes.
04:00Meanwhile, the sketchy guy from earlier, called Rafael,
04:03steals another guy's cube at the very end and manages to get away with it.
04:07While the game master checks everyone's cubes,
04:09Fernando notices Michele doesn't have enough and quickly helps her in return for helping him earlier.
04:14Afterwards, the participants are given their lunchtime.
04:16One girl asks if a guy is really an Alvarez because that family always pass.
04:21On the other hand, some of them are disgusted with Rafael for cheating during the last test.
04:25Rafael says that if they all keep thinking they're better than him, then they will lose to him.
04:30However, he ends up biting off more than he can chew when he gets in a big black guy's face
04:34and ends up catching a beatdown.
04:36But luckily, he is saved by Marco, who stops him from getting hurt any further.
04:40After Joanna befriends Rafael,
04:42because if he betrays her, she will tell the process staff that his registration is fake.
04:46Meanwhile, Cassia informs Ezekiel that they have a lead on the infiltrator and that it's one of two candidates.
04:52All of a sudden, Michele and Bruna are taken away by Bernardo,
04:55who takes them to see Cassia, who interrogates the two and tells them about the infiltrator.
04:59She has information that someone who lives on their block is working with the cause,
05:03so she will be giving them three minutes to confess who it is between them,
05:07stating that if she doesn't get the result, she will just have to kill them both.
05:10They both deny it until Ezekiel summons Cassia,
05:14and Michele comes up with a plan to sneak attack her when she returns and escape the process.
05:18Cassia returns, and at this moment, Michele is revealed to be a member of the cause,
05:23as we see a flashback of her leader training her on how to pass each round,
05:26and eventually destroy the process.
05:29Michele then gives Bruna the sign to attack,
05:31but hesitates when Bruna is instantly shot by Ezekiel.
05:34We also learn in a flashback that Ezekiel killed Michele's brother so she hates him with a passion.
05:39With Michele being cleared of any suspicions,
05:41Cassia warns her to not discuss what happened with any of the other candidates,
05:45and she is then returned to join them.
05:47But before she goes back, she breaks down about Bruna, who she accidentally just sacrificed.
05:51When she returns to the others, Fernando asks what happened,
05:54and it is then we see that many years back he studied for the process religiously
05:58and also imagined how he would celebrate if he completed it.
06:01While doing his celebration, he fell out of his wheelchair and injured his forehead.
06:05Back in the present, the candidates must take a physical examination
06:08as they must be assessed as physically fit to continue the process.
06:12Fernando starts to worry since he's in a wheelchair.
06:15Meanwhile, some of the participants begin asking about Bruna and wonder if she was in the cause.
06:19When Fernando takes the examination test, the system declares him not fit to continue.
06:24However, he is swiftly taken away by one of the medical examiners.
06:28In the lab, he's injected with some sort of serum, which seems to revive the nerves in his back.
06:33She prods his leg and asks if he can feel anything, but he can't.
06:36However, the next prod, he suddenly feels something.
06:39The nurse informs him that the effect will only last a few minutes,
06:42and with a full course of treatment, he might walk again.
06:45But first, he has to pass.
06:47Fernando joins the rest of the candidates, and Michele asks how his examination went.
06:52Fernando says that he will tell her later, and just then the next test begins.
06:56They are put into different groups, and the fate of each candidate lies in the success of their team.
07:01Michele, Fernando, Marco, Rafael, Joanna, and two other candidates are grouped together.
07:07They move into a room where they must solve some kind of crime scene.
07:10After analyzing the scene, Fernando concludes that it's a murder scenario.
07:13He explains that one of the female dummies was poisoned by the host because of some love affair.
07:18However, Rafael doesn't believe they would show things like that happening at the offshore,
07:21so he has a different idea.
07:23He says that the woman wasn't poisoned, but instead allergic to silver,
07:27pointing out that all of her jewelry is made of wood.
07:29She began eating and didn't realize until it was too late and her airways became blocked.
07:33Meanwhile, the process leaders observe them and are very impressed with Rafael,
07:37though they can't figure out why the host's face is unbothered until Joanna says that it's
07:42because she's blind, which she is correct about.
07:44They're declared approved for the next round, but unfortunately,
07:47one of them didn't make it because he didn't contribute to the solving of the crime scene.
07:51After the test, Ezekiel asks Elena to supervise the next round because he has some
07:55pressing matters to attend to.
07:56During lunch, Lucas helps Agatha open her bottle of water until he notices that Joanna
08:01has been gazing at him.
08:03He walks over to her, and she seduces him to follow her to the bathroom.
08:07Meanwhile, Michele meets with Fernando and asks how he's doing,
08:10and he then explains to her what the nurse told him about walking again.
08:14He says that he's accepted that this is who he is, and he didn't enter the process to walk again.
08:18He came because he knew he could pass.
08:20Before the next test, Elena finds Ezekiel exiting a room looking suspicious,
08:25so she hides until he's gone and goes into the room to investigate.
08:29Meanwhile, the next test begins, and the groups are taken into a room where they are told the rules.
08:34As a team, they will have to decide which of them will be eliminated,
08:37with a total of six coins for the seven of them,
08:40and whoever doesn't have one when the time is up will be eliminated.
08:43We then see Aline using surveillance cameras to spy on Ezekiel,
08:48and realizes that he's at one of the slums in the inland, posing as a beggar.
08:52All of a sudden, Ezekiel clocked that he was being watched and runs away,
08:56leaving a bag of food behind.
08:58On the other hand, the candidates argue over who to eliminate.
09:01Rafael suggests Fernando because there is no way he can make it through the entire process in a wheelchair.
09:07However, Fernando reveals what the nurse said about him walking again if he passes the process,
09:12so that must mean he can make it through how he is.
09:15Marco then comes up with an idea of tearing a scarf into different lengths,
09:19and whoever picks the shortest one loses.
09:21With time running out, they all draw from the scarf one by one.
09:25Unfortunately, Joanna draws the shortest,
09:27and she looks at Rafael because of the deal they made earlier.
09:30Everyone who passed proceed to collect their coin from the bag.
09:33Lucas smugly says good luck at the inland to Joanna,
09:36and tries to give her a peck on the cheek.
09:38However, Joanna played him like NBA 2K
09:40because she secretly pocketed one of the coins earlier,
09:43leaving Lucas as the only one without a coin,
09:46and therefore he gets eliminated.
09:48When Joanna joins the others, they are confused upon seeing that she made it,
09:51and Rafael is weary of her because she knows about his fake registration chip.
09:55Later on, Alina reports to Counselor Matthias regarding Ezekiel's weekly trips to the inland,
10:00and upon hearing this,
10:01the counselor orders her to find out what Ezekiel is hiding and report to him with evidence.
10:06The following day, the candidates use the coins they got from the last test to get a drink or snack,
10:11although Joanna appears to be saving hers as she stands by herself flipping it between her fingers.
10:17Suddenly, Joanna has a flashback to when she was at the inland.
10:20She remembers how she stole some goods and hid them at an abandoned bathroom.
10:23While trying to go back home, she was attacked by some goons sent by the guy she stole from,
10:27who ended up getting back what she took.
10:29Back to the present, Ezekiel is called by Nair,
10:32who informs him that Alina was sent by Counselor Matthias,
10:35and if they find one shred of evidence against him, he will be in big trouble.
10:39Meanwhile, some of the candidates play a little game while waiting for the next test to commence,
10:43by trying to throw bottle caps into a tube.
10:45Rafael says if Fernando gets it first try, he'll give him his spot on the offshore,
10:49so Fernando just throws the cap at him, making everyone laugh.
10:53Joanna is successful on her first try, and tells Rafael to watch out for her.
10:57Elena then joins Ezekiel in his office, and while working on his glasses,
11:01she asks him to allow her to watch the next round with him, to which he accepts.
11:05The test begins, and candidates are instructed to cross the tunnel as a group within five minutes.
11:10Rafael asks how long the tunnel is, but gets no answer.
11:13Once inside, time starts to tick.
11:15However, while moving forward, the sound of gas releases from the pipes above them.
11:19Suddenly, they all begin experiencing visual and auditory hallucinations at the same time.
11:24Michele hears Fernando ask why she killed Bruna, and Rafael hears everyone saying that they know his secret.
11:30While observing, Elena asks what the concept of this test is about,
11:35and Ezekiel explains that in order to be worthy of joining them,
11:38they have to leave their fear and personal insecurities behind.
11:41Meanwhile, Joanna manages to overcome her paranoia, and reaches the end of the tunnel first.
11:47However, the instructor tells her that she can't win unless they win as a team.
11:50Joanna is then forced to go back and get the rest of her team.
11:54She tells them that what they are hearing and seeing are just hallucinations and helps them get through it.
11:59She begins getting her teammates to the end of the tunnel one after the other,
12:02and luckily, they were just able to pass the test because of Joanna.
12:06Ezekiel is surprised to see how Joanna became a real team player,
12:09and asks Cassia to find out more about her.
12:11After the test, the candidates are shown to their rooms where Rafael asks Joanna what she heard in the tunnel,
12:16but she replies saying that she didn't hear anything.
12:18On the other hand, Agatha is examined by one of the instructors because she's still experiencing trauma from the gas effect.
12:25The instructor tells the candidates to allow her to rest, and she will be fine.
12:29Meanwhile, Fernando meets with Michele in the corridor and asks her what she heard in the tunnel,
12:33as he could have sworn she said something about her brother.
12:36However, she shuts him up by kissing him.
12:38Michele apologizes, but Fernando pulls her into him, and things get intense as they make out some more.
12:43In the dorms, the candidates imagine how the offshore would look like.
12:46While everyone's resting, Joanna continues to have visions about the things she did before the process.
12:51She remembers how she broke into a house and stole a bag along with a gun.
12:55She also remembers when she accidentally shot a kid,
12:57but suddenly she's awakened from her trance after noticing someone in the corridor.
13:01Joanna gets up and heads to the restroom where she sees the child and begins to apologize profusely.
13:07However, in reality, she's actually talking to Agatha,
13:10who all of a sudden begins to strangle Joanna as she herself is still under the effect of the gas also.
13:15Luckily, Raphael shows up in time to stop Agatha.
13:18Meanwhile, Ezekiel gets an alert, and it appears that a young boy from the inland has breached the building.
13:23However, he lies to Cassia about this, and says that he set the alert off by mistake.
13:28He then deletes the footage from the system and takes the kid to his office where he feeds him.
13:33After eating, the kid plays with some cubes when Alina knocks on the door.
13:36Ezekiel quickly hides the kid until she leaves his office,
13:40and after Ezekiel takes the boy to safety and warns him not to come here again.
13:44In the dorm, Fernando tells Michele that he saw himself at the offshore with her.
13:48They go to sleep with smiles on their faces, but the following morning,
13:51Fernando and Joanna wake up to discover that a wall has been put up that wasn't there yesterday.
13:56Fernando informs everyone that the exits have been blocked and they're locked in,
13:59so Marco takes a look at the entrance and attempts to open it, but he can't.
14:02He then heads to the room to try and pull some irons attached to the floor,
14:06but Rafael informs him that they've already tried that.
14:09A few days before the process, Marco sat in his living room staring at pictures of his parents
14:13when Larissa came in to feed him.
14:15While eating, Larissa gave him his birthday present and tells him that it's a letter from his father in the offshore.
14:20She assures him that soon his picture will also be hung on the wall with the others.
14:24Back in the present, he stares at a screen displaying different numbers in a rapid fashion.
14:28He informs one of the candidates that he might have figured out a way out of the dormitory.
14:32Marco gathers everyone and explains to them how it works.
14:36He needs eight people with a good memory and then asks them to memorize numbers line by line
14:40and take it back to each room.
14:42Meanwhile, the most physically capable ones stay in the room and pull the irons attached to the floor
14:47in accordance with the numbers.
14:49Ezekiel and his team commends how good they were able to organize themselves,
14:53but says he would like to see how they will handle division.
14:55After their first try, the panel gave them enough food for just one person but the gates didn't open.
15:00Marco then says he should be the one to eat the food because he worked the hardest which leads to a disagreement,
15:05so Michele suggests that they eat alphabetically.
15:07Therefore, Agatha gets the first bit of food and the candidates continue to work one round at a time to get their share.
15:13While Ezekiel is tunnel-visioned on the test, Alina sneaks in his room to go through his computer,
15:18but unfortunately she uses the wrong fingerprint and an alarm goes off from his room.
15:22Ezekiel then sends Cassia to his room where she confronts Alina.
15:26Meanwhile, Marco succeeds in leading the candidates to success as everyone got something to eat.
15:31Although in a twist of events, Ezekiel refuses to allow all of them to pass.
15:35He plans to make a change in the game.
15:37Therefore, this time around the candidates get no food after getting the numbers right ten times.
15:42So an angry Sonia finds Marco telling everyone to stop as the system is broken.
15:46The other candidates agree, saying they want to go to bed.
15:49But nevertheless, Agatha and Fernando stare at the screen, and suddenly food drops from the panel.
15:55All the candidates then rush back to get the food,
15:57but they are stopped by Michele who asks them to organize themselves to make sure that everyone gets something.
16:03Afterward, the tension reduces since everyone gets some food,
16:06but Marco is still concerned why the process decided to give them that amount.
16:10He then rallies all the strong men around the dorms to help force open the gate,
16:14and after opening it, Raphael discovers that there is another gate after that one.
16:18Marco wants to go ahead and open the next gate too,
16:20but they all complain about being tired, and they need more food to regain their energy.
16:25Marco then starts moving from room to room with his guys,
16:28and they take the food by force as they hurt some of the candidates.
16:31Joanna and Fernando get scared, so he goes back to inform Michele and his team.
16:36Meanwhile, Joanna gives up and wants out of the process.
16:38She goes out through one of the vents, and upon getting to the top,
16:41she meets Ezekiel, who shows her through the process and tells her about the founding couple.
16:45Raphael sees how Marco is treating the other candidates,
16:48so fights against his regime, and Marco then vows to kill Raphael.
16:52Raphael gets scared and runs to Michele.
16:55Their room created a barrier, so they have been able to resist Marco and his gangs.
16:59However, after much pleading, Michele allows him in.
17:02Marco gets to their dorm and breaks down their barrier in order to get to Raphael.
17:06However, Joanna returns to the dorm due to what Ezekiel said to her.
17:09Joanna releases the other candidates Marco had locked up,
17:12and they were able to get to Marco before he hurts Raphael.
17:15The candidates start to beat Marco, when suddenly they hear the sound of an alarm,
17:20and the gates open.
17:21Immediately, the candidates rush out upon seeing that the gates were opened,
17:25but unfortunately, Marco and gang were unable to make it before the gate closes.
17:30Ezekiel and his team then congratulates the candidates who made it
17:33and tells them to prepare for the next round.
17:35Ezekiel meets Aline in his office,
17:37who tells him about her awareness regarding the boy's fingerprints on the cube in his office.
17:41Knowing she wants his position as the process leader,
17:44Ezekiel tells her to leave.
17:46At that moment, he remembers his supportive wife Julia,
17:49who was one of the process agents too during the 99th and 100th process.
17:53However, when he became the process director in the 100th process,
17:57he made her his assistant in charge of the surveillance cameras at the inland.
18:00While checking out the surveillance footage with Julia,
18:03Cassia comes in to inform him about the attack of the cause,
18:06the terrorist organization who opposed the process.
18:08Watching the attack live from one of the rescue soldier's body cameras,
18:12where a man sustained an injury during the attack in a room,
18:16Julia finds a little boy there too.
18:18Therefore, after Cassia and Ezekiel left the room,
18:21she began to stare at the boy's image on the screen in tears like she knew him.
18:26At that moment, she is called to escort an eliminated lady out of the building.
18:29However, the lady seems to be adamant and doesn't want to go.
18:32There, Julia lashes out at the lady by pulling her hair for talking trash to her.
18:37Later in the night, Ezekiel and counselor Matthias sees the encounter through a surveillance camera
18:41revealing how stressed she is.
18:43The counselor urges Ezekiel to let her take a break at the recovery center,
18:47but Ezekiel tells him it isn't necessary.
18:49After the conversation with Matthias,
18:51Ezekiel tries to talk to Julia who was present there about what is going on with her,
18:55but she refuses to tell the truth.
18:57Later, Ezekiel goes to sleep,
18:59leaving her alone in the office where she quickly goes to the system to check the boy's image again and again.
19:04She also didn't attend Ezekiel's presentation for the new candidate of the 101st process,
19:10which she's never missed a year.
19:11Meanwhile, she's busy trying to find out if the boy is truly who she thinks he is,
19:16which breaks her after finding out.
19:17Her unusual personality goes on for days,
19:20making Ezekiel feel there is more to the issue at hand.
19:23One night while Julia was asleep,
19:25Ezekiel decided to check the footage of the attack from before,
19:28where he finds out Julia has watched it over a hundred times,
19:32giving him a hint of what is going on.
19:33The next morning, he decided to have a talk with Julia when she woke up,
19:38and after some convincing, she opened up.
19:41However, she revealed that the young boy is her son whom she gave birth to before the process,
19:45and before she met him.
19:47Meanwhile, she hid the information from the process.
19:50She narrates her ordeal of having a child at a tender age,
19:53and not being able to give him a name.
19:55But while telling him the story, she mentions the name Augusto, which is his name now.
19:59Now she knows that his guardian is dead, he is left alone,
20:03and she wants to go and see him, which is impossible.
20:06However, the boy can only enter the process when he is of age,
20:09but Julia didn't care as she just wanted to see her son.
20:12Ezekiel tried to convince her to leave the boy, but she just yelled at him,
20:16telling him he doesn't know anything about her beliefs.
20:18Later that day, Ezekiel tried to leave his position because of Julia,
20:22but Counselor Nair told him not to.
20:24At night while Ezekiel slept, Julia went to go and watch the footage again crying uncontrollably.
20:30The following morning, she dressed in a tattered cloth so she could leave the process undetected.
20:36However, Ezekiel found out and ran after her to bring her back.
20:39Eventually she was taken to the recuperation center for care with some candidates to the offshore.
20:44A year later at the recuperation center, Julia decided to give up as she drowned in an ocean,
20:49after staring at her son's picture which she printed out in the process.
20:52This tragic incident was brought to Ezekiel which massively destabilized him.
20:57That night, he decided to continue directing the process after being asked by Nair.
21:02The following day, Ezekiel put it upon himself to go and look for the boy sneaking out in disguise.
21:08After reaching the boy's house, Ezekiel found him after luring him out by throwing an apple.
21:13He tells him about passing the process and getting to the offshore even though the boy doesn't seem to get it.
21:17Ezekiel then mentions his mother to the boy, but he doesn't care and walks away.
21:22Telling Ezekiel to leave.
21:24Ever since then he has volunteered to look after the boy himself for his late Julia.
21:29In the garden after the last test, Michele dreams of seeing her brother Andre playing with her until he suddenly vanishes.
21:35And she sees Ezekiel.
21:37Suddenly she wakes up beside Fernando, who asks her what happened.
21:40At that moment, Raphael walks past and she goes to meet him by a tree,
21:44where he finds out how he got to know she is one of the causes.
21:46Raphael asks if she's told Fernando yet, but says that she can't.
21:49Michele tells him to forget knowing her because it is too risky.
21:53And just then, an agent comes to take them to their own personal rooms.
21:57In each person's room is a picture of them and their families projected on the wall.
22:01However, the projection shuts off revealing their families alongside a glass cube full of coins.
22:06And they are put in a test where their own families try and convince them to take the money and leave the process.
22:11Fernando's father is present, but he convinces his son to never give up and make it to the offshore.
22:16Although he wants to take the money to live a good life in the inland, his father declines leaving the room.
22:21Michele, on the other hand, doesn't have a relative around,
22:24but an agent comes in to inform her about the test details giving her 30 minutes to decide.
22:29In the room thinking about her brother, Michele tried taking water,
22:33but accidentally breaks the glass spilling the coins.
22:35Moments later, an agent comes into her room to check what happened,
22:39and Michele tells him she didn't take any of it.
22:42Upon hearing this, the agent states that the coin can't be spent at the offshore anyways.
22:46Joanna also doesn't have anyone, but an agent is brought in to test her ability,
22:51disclosing the process's awareness of her fake identity.
22:54Meanwhile, Raphael's mother happens to be the one to visit and tries to convince her son to take the money and go,
22:59but he refuses.
23:01She threatens to reveal his secret of stealing his brother's registration chip if he doesn't comply.
23:05At the end, after much emotional discourse, his mother leaves in sadness after calling her son a traitor.
23:12Luckily for them, they pass the test while some took the money and left with their families.
23:16Meanwhile, because Elena wants his position,
23:18Ezekiel decides to cut any ties with Augusto, Julia's son, and stop visiting him.
23:23Back in his office, Cassia comes to visit and tells him to get rid of Elena by getting other agents on his side.
23:28However, the next test is said to be an individual one,
23:31prompting Fernando to go into Michele's room where he tells her about his father's words of encouragement,
23:35and assures her that he will always be with her wherever they might end up.
23:39This brings them even closer together, and they enjoy each other's company for a while.
23:44Some moments later, Michele is being summoned for her individual test leaving Fernando behind.
23:49Ready for her test, Cassia says her duty is to convince a couple to enroll their 10-year-old daughter for the process,
23:55when it is her time.
23:56Unbeknownst to her, the couple happens to be Bruna's parents,
23:59and she asks to inform them about their daughter's death.
24:02Although it was hard after breaking the bad news,
24:05she tells them about the death of her brother in the process.
24:08Despite what happened, she still chose to come to the process.
24:11Therefore, they should allow their daughter to participate too.
24:14After hearing this, the couple agrees to allow their daughter to participate when it's her turn.
24:19Meanwhile, Fernando is assigned to create a new test for the process,
24:22which he did, but by building on their already existing test.
24:25Unfortunately for Rafael, he realizes his individual test isn't individual but for two people.
24:31Therefore, he goes to search for help,
24:33but is only able to get Fernando by revealing the secret of he and Michele being in the cause to him.
24:38Because of Michele, Fernando agrees to help him, and luckily he won.
24:42And again, they all pass their tests.
24:44However, out of anger from her test, Michele goes into her room distraught.
24:48She gets a piece of the broken glass from the bin,
24:50and opens up a tiny bit of her waist, revealing a capsule that was hidden there.
24:54This capsule was given to her by the cause leader for her to take if she gets caught,
24:58and it should only be used if there isn't another possible way out.
25:02Later that day, a dinner is organized for the candidates and agents of the process to have fun in the hallway.
25:07While Michele musters up the courage to approach Ezekiel,
25:09Fernando tells her they need to talk, but she tells him later.
25:12Upon seeing that Ezekiel is alone,
25:14she walks up to him and congratulates him on the success of the process.
25:18Unknown to him, she pours the substance from the capsule into his drink and walks away.
25:23She tries to see if Ezekiel takes the drink,
25:25but unfortunately Cesar and Luciana who are agents come to greet him and their drinks get mixed up on the table.
25:31Ezekiel then calls for a toast, congratulating the candidates for their success in the process.
25:36The next day is for the purification ritual to get to the offshore.
25:39Ezekiel calls for the toast and everyone consumes their drinks.
25:42However, out of nowhere, Caesar falls to the ground, appearing to have a seizure and gets rushed off.
25:47Knowing what's going on, Michele doesn't feel comfortable and gulps a drink too.
25:52Raphael walks up to her and tells her that he saw what she did.
25:55However, it isn't what she thought he knew.
25:58Unfortunately, Caesar died and it was discovered that he was poisoned by the same substance the cause is known to use.
26:04A panic arises when it's been alerted that a member of the cause is present at the process and Ezekiel find out.
26:10Meanwhile, Michele and Fernando eventually talk and he tells her that he knows her secret.
26:15Surprisingly, he doesn't seem to care because as long as she's safe, he is happy.
26:20At that moment, an alarm is heard to summon all the agents for a meeting, leaving the candidate behind.
26:26Knowing things might not end well, Michele goes to Raphael and has him help her dispose of the poison capsule container.
26:33Just as he is about to throw it away, Ezekiel and some security personnel work him and he stylishly discards the poison.
26:39However, the candidates are said to be interrogated one after the other.
26:43Meanwhile, Counselor Mathias is the one who appointed Aline to the process to take Ezekiel's position.
26:49To do that, he tells her during a call to strike now while the process is going through a crisis.
26:53Elena agrees and promises to write a report about him.
26:57Meanwhile, the interrogation of the candidates has begun and everyone is being asked if they know anything about the poisoning.
27:03Fernando and Raphael are interrogated and they lie about not knowing who did it.
27:07Eventually, it's Michele's turn and during the interrogation, Ezekiel says that it's surprising she came to hug him earlier, which she defended as only a way of congratulating him.
27:17He notices the wound by her waist which she lies about saying she got it from some thieves at the inland.
27:22He tells her about César's drink poisoning and then shows her footage of Luciana wailing over César.
27:27Ezekiel, on the other hand, asks if there is anything she is hiding from him, but she denies knowing anything, and he tells her to go.
27:34Finally out, she feels guilty about the outcome of her actions, but Fernando is able to keep her calm.
27:40Shortly after, in the hallway, Cassia shows the poison capsule to Ezekiel, which makes Michele get scared.
27:47Ezekiel is then summoned to a meeting with the counselors, whom he tells the perpetrator has been found and is being apprehended.
27:53Surprisingly, Alina happens to be the one apprehended for the crime, so Counselor Matthias tries to defend her being his apprentice.
28:01However, Ezekiel shows footage of Alina offering to serve him a drink, which might have been when she poisoned it.
28:07To make his plan work, Cassia apprehends a member of the cause to tell lies about Aline being one of the, and sent to the process to get rid of Ezekiel.
28:15Alina is asked to talk, and she sends them the report regarding Ezekiel's relationship with the boy in inland.
28:20But unfortunately for her, the file was switched to a report of her commending Ezekiel work.
28:25After this, the counsel decides that she is to be taken to the offshore for close examination of the case.
28:31However, the candidates have been informed about the apprehension of the person responsible for the poisoning, and are told to return to their rooms.
28:38Michele returns to her room, and to her shock, she finds Ezekiel in her room holding the poison capsule in his hand.
28:45Very early the next morning, Fernando goes to Michele's door with excitement about their success, he knocks for a while but gets no response.
28:53At that moment Ezekiel appears and tells him that Michele has been eliminated from the process.
28:58Upon hearing this, he decides to leave too as he wants to fulfill his promise to her.
29:02However unfortunately, he was actually being tested with his own test he created.
29:07Being told of her elimination and wanting to leave because of it makes him get eliminated from the process.
29:12Meanwhile, Michele is getting interrogated, but Ezekiel comes and loosens the rope she was tied with.
29:17He asks why she wants to kill him, and after some threatening from Ezekiel, she reveals to him that he killed her brother.
29:23Meanwhile at the inland, an agent in the process who is also a member of the cause is brought to their hideout.
29:28There, the man is shown pictures of the cause members who entered the process and only points out Michele and Raphael's pictures as they made it to the finals.
29:36This is an achievement for the cause as having members at the offshore would go a long way with their mission.
29:40Later that morning, the candidates are summoned to the garden for their purification to the offshore.
29:46Luckily for Raphael and Joanna, they made it to the garden, where Raphael notices Michele and Fernando's absence and tries to ask Joanna who didn't give him an answer.
29:54At that moment, Cassia comes in to congratulate Joanna and informs her of Ezekiel's wish to have a word with her.
30:00Meanwhile Michele thinks that her brother was a member of the cause, but Ezekiel tells her he wasn't, and she is just being used by the cause leader to get to him.
30:08To convince her, he shows her a video of her brother at the offshore five years after his supposed death.
30:14He also reveals to her that he used to be in the cause a long time ago.
30:18He then asks her to spill who the cause leader is, but she refuses, and so he leaves her to watch the video by herself.
30:24She felt awful watching the video and wishes to see her brother again.
30:27Meanwhile, Counselor Nair decides to stop helping Ezekiel because of his involvement in taking care of Julia's son, and cuts all ties with him.
30:35In a locked room, Elena begs to see Luciana whom she pleads her innocence to, and reveals Ezekiel's real intentions towards her.
30:42At the garden to address the candidates, Ezekiel reveals that they would not be able to have children in the offshore, which is through the purification process.
30:50Upon hearing this, Raphael doesn't seem to like this because he would love to have kids.
30:54The other candidates, after so much thought, decide to go for the purification, leaving Raphael behind.
31:01After the address, Ezekiel goes back to Michele, and urges her to tell him who and where the man who made her become a killer is.
31:08He convinces her to give up his location, and he would forgive her for her crime.
31:12Eventually she tells him the location and the security forces go to apprehend the cause leader.
31:16However, Raphael decides to go on with the purification process, and become one of the three percent.
31:21Ezekiel also purifies Michele too, and tells her she would be taken to the recovery center at the offshore, and he would supervise her himself.
31:29Then, Ezekiel asks if she knows any other cause member in the process, but she denies knowing none.
31:35However, Joanna who has been waiting for so long eventually has the chance to be attended to by Ezekiel,
31:40who reveals to her that he wants to test her abilities because he doesn't want her to be just another ordinary citizen at the offshore.
31:46In order to get this done, he reveals a man tied to a chair behind the glass wall of the room,
31:52who happens to be one of the thugs who threatened her life at the inland.
31:55However, he tells Joanna that the citizens of the offshore are not meant to show mercy or sympathy for scum like him.
32:01He urges her to push the red button on the wall, to prove she is one of them,
32:05and is worthy of working with him to make the offshore better than it ever was.
32:08The button would kill the man so she hesitates to press it as Ezekiel continues persuading her to do it.
32:14Suddenly she stops as she's about to press it, and refuses kill anyone, as that's not who she is.
32:20This makes Ezekiel furious, so he insults Joanna, making her upset, and she storms out of the room.
32:26She eventually decides to quit the process, and forget her dream of living in the offshore.
32:30Upon arriving at the process gate, she meets Fernando, who has been waiting there hoping for Michele to come out.
32:35Joanna informs him about the whole situation and that Michele must have passed the process, much to Fernando's dismay.
32:42Anyhow, they leave for the inland since that's their only option, while the others await their journey to offshore.
32:47Rafael sees Michele being escorted by a medical practitioner of the offshore, and discovers she passed too.
32:53However, Michele notices Fernando and Joanna's absence among the candidates, and wonders if they passed.
33:00Upon arriving back to the inland, Fernando couldn't face his father who was preaching when he got there,
33:04and Joanna had to continue living her life how she previously did.
33:08Eventually it's the end of the 104th process which took a huge toll on Ezekiel, as he recalls everything that has transpired.
33:16And finally, the successful candidates including Michele, are transferred to the offshore to begin their new life.
33:22And this brings the series to an end.
