00:00There was a time, though, that you were afraid of the stage.
00:06How did you work through that?
00:08I was.
00:08I was a kid.
00:12I have a children's book that I dreamt and woke up and wrote it, and I was like, ah, this is a vision.
00:19And so I have a children's book.
00:20It's being illustrated right now by a friend of mine, Stephanie Stevens, a tattoo artist, by the way.
00:26And it talks about that.
00:27And I was five, six years old, and a teacher asked me to Indian dance for the class.
00:40And I said no.
00:41And she still put everyone in a circle around me outside and tried to get them to clap in time to get me to dance.
00:48And I'm like, I'm not doing it.
00:50And I just built that moment.
00:53She didn't do it on purpose.
00:55I don't even remember who she was.
00:57But I got major stage fright.
01:01I was an actor for a long time, and I had to overcome.
01:05I had to take on, like, meditating to keep from nerves causing, you know, redness.
01:13Just red, turning red.
01:16Casting director's like, are you okay?
01:18I'm like, no, I'm fine.
01:19And it was.
01:19I just, nerves was taking over my body.
