00:00Hi, can you introduce yourself?
00:02Hi, I'm Heather. I'm part owner with my mum of the interior port which is down here in Drayton.
00:08So tell me a little bit about the new store and how it's all come together and how good it feels to be back open.
00:15It feels really good to be open. We're very tired. We've been painting so much.
00:19I'm happy to never see a big tub of white paint ever again.
00:22As you can see, it's open now. We've got some customers in which is really nice.
00:27It was very scary this morning, dead on 10 o'clock and we were so worried no one was going to come in.
00:31But loads of people have come in. They've said hello. They've bought a couple of bits.
00:35And the really nice bit is they've introduced me into the area which is really, really lovely.
00:39So it's very community spirit here so that's really, really nice.
00:43So tell me why you relocated from Southsea?
00:46So we relocated from Southsea. Our first starter unit was brilliant and our landlords, Gin and Gin,
00:52apps and shouting them out because they were just wonderful landlords.
00:56It just wasn't working for us, unfortunately.
00:58I think the area around us was going a little bit downhill.
01:01We were on the wrong side of the road. There was lots of sort of negative factors.
01:06But I also decided to move here. My other half has reached the open bar here.
01:11He lives here. Mum lives here. I just, I kind of fancy a change.
01:15I've lived in Southsea for 21 years and we can't see something a little bit different.
01:19So I'm moving to racing as well.
01:22So tell me a little bit about plans for the store and new stock arriving and things like that.
01:28Well, at the moment, because this used to be an old wedding shop at the back,
01:31it's got two very big fitting rooms.
01:33And that meant if we took those down, there was a lot more stock needed
01:37and that would have taken a lot more of the budget.
01:39So what we decided to do is we've just pulled some curtains in front of it,
01:42put some lovely little signs and it just says that there's new sections coming in the spring.
01:46So what we're going to do is we've got a couple of craft fairs we need to go to in London
01:50and I'm going to try and find some really nice sort of bathroom bits and children's bits.
01:55So we love the idea from the kids section with books.
01:58Really love the idea of, I've seen someone who does these really funky bath mats
02:02with some little rude motifs on them, like get naked and stuff like that.
02:07So I really like the idea of doing that.
02:09But also, we've introduced a lot more throws.
02:12So over the last two years, we've realised people love a throw.
02:14And we always thought that it would be something very wintery.
02:17Actually, people love going to the gardens in the summer, people use them as going kits.
02:21So we've introduced a lot more throws, a lot more glassware
02:25and we're hoping to bring in a lot more mugs as well.
02:28Because we know everyone loves a good property.
02:30So we're going to, we're going to give you a good product for us.
02:37So we actually have to wait in different places.
02:39So we're gonna have to wait in three months.
02:41And we're going to have to wait in four minutes.
02:43Okay, we're going to get a little bit more.
02:44I've been waiting in four minutes.
02:46We're going to give you a quick picture for this.
02:49We're going to give you a good story.
02:51So we're going to be a good news.
