Green Tax : ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ ప్రభుత్వం వాహనదారులకు తీపికబురు చెప్పింది. రాష్ట్రంలోని రవాణా వాహనదారులకు కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం భారీ ఊరటనిచ్చింది. గత ప్రభుత్వం విధించిన గ్రీన్ ట్యాక్స్‌ను తగ్గిస్తూ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. పాత వాహనాలపై గ్రీన్ ట్యాక్స్ తగ్గింపు బిల్లుకు అసెంబ్లీ ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. మోటార్ వాహనాలు చట్టంలో సవరణ చేస్తూ మంత్రి రామ్ ప్రసాద్ రెడ్డి సభలో బిల్లును ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. ఈ బిల్లుకు ఏకగ్రీవంగా ఆమోదం లభించడంతో పాత వాహనాలపై గ్రీన్ ట్యాక్స్ రూ.20 వేల నుంచి 3 వేలకు తగ్గనుంది. ఈ నిర్ణయంతో సరకు రవాణా వాహనదారులకు ఆర్థిక భారం తగ్గుతుందని భావిస్తున్నారు. గతంలో ఏడాదికి రూ.20 వేల వరకు ఉన్న పన్నును ఇప్పుడు రూ.1,500 నుంచి రూ.3 వేలకు తగ్గించారు.
The Andhra Pradesh government has given a sweet relief to vehicle owners, especially transport operators.
In the ongoing Assembly sessions, the coalition government decided to reduce the Green Tax imposed by the previous government.
A new bill was introduced in the House by Minister Ram Prasad Reddy, amending the Motor Vehicles Act.
The bill was passed unanimously.
Under the new rule, the Green Tax on old transport vehicles has been reduced from ₹20,000 per year to just ₹1,500–₹3,000.
This decision is expected to significantly reduce the financial burden on truck and goods transport operators across Andhra Pradesh.
