00:00Oh, my God!
00:02Oh!
00:04I actually closed the biggest celebrity we've ever done.
00:07Really? Shaq!
00:10The guy I've been chasing for over a year!
00:13My white whale!
00:14Shaquille O'Neal.
00:16If this guy doesn't fit in the car,
00:17that would be an unmitigated catastrophe.
00:20Jerry's gonna keep stuffing himself into this build
00:23with his custom nonsense.
00:25But what if you actually drop the floor?
00:26You sink the seat down?
00:27Yeah!
00:28Thrilling right over there?
00:29Get rid of that part?
00:30Jerry, can you let us do a job?
00:32We got the fire department here.
00:34We're gonna build him a fire truck.
00:36We need a high-water vehicle
00:38to mitigate a circumstance where there's downed trees.
00:40I wouldn't mind being the shop that builds fire trucks
00:43for every department in Florida.
00:45Oh!
00:47What was that?
00:49I cannot wait for him to see this thing.
00:52I think he's absolutely gonna love it.
00:54Bring it down over here!
00:56Okay, I see it.
00:57I hear it, too.
00:58I hear it, too.
00:59Don't ask!
01:00Don't ask!
01:17Jose!
01:18Here.
01:19Looking for a gladiator liftgate.
01:20It's gonna be a bit of an amalgamation, right?
01:22Can we come back there?
01:23Hey, Joe!
01:24What's this?
01:25We got the fire department here.
01:26So the building's not burning down?
01:27No, the building's not burning down.
01:28We're gonna build him a fire truck.
01:29All right, man.
01:30Pete.
01:31Let's talk about the truck now.
01:32This is a brand new truck.
01:33It's never been on the road, never been in service.
01:34We actually just took possession of it a couple weeks ago.
01:35Really?
01:36We wanted to bring it here because it's one of our most technologically sound trucks.
01:37It's one of the newest ones we have.
01:38Love it.
01:39She's gorgeous.
01:40The truck you guys wanna build, right?
01:41Is it a mini version of this or does it serve a total different purpose?
01:42You know, recently, I don't know if you guys heard about it, but our neighbors to the
01:43south had a lot of flooding.
01:44Yeah.
01:45Yes.
01:46We went out.
01:47We helped them, but we didn't have a vehicle that was high enough to be able to get in
01:50to the depths of the flooding.
01:51So we're looking for a vehicle that we can go through.
01:52Yeah.
01:53We're looking for a vehicle that we can go through.
01:54Yeah.
01:55We're looking for a vehicle that we can go through.
01:56We've been on the road, never been in service.
01:57We actually just took possession of it a couple weeks ago.
01:58Really?
01:59We wanted to bring it here because it's one of our most technologically sound trucks.
02:00It's one of the newest ones we have.
02:01Love it.
02:02She's gorgeous.
02:03The truck you guys wanna build, right?
02:04Is it a mini version of this or does it serve a total different purpose?
02:05You know, recently, I don't know if you guys heard about it,
02:06Yeah.
02:07Yes.
02:08We went out.
02:09We helped them, but we didn't have a vehicle that was high enough to be able to get in
02:11to the depths of the flooding.
02:13So we're looking for a vehicle that we can go through, you know, like some high water
02:16High water vehicle, Joe.
02:17Be able to transition.
02:18That's me.
02:19High water vehicle.
02:20I'm an advocate of it.
02:22I've been telling my son, I've been telling Joe, we need high water vehicles.
02:26Torrential rains, swamps, Fort Lauderdale streets turn into rivers, forcing people
02:31to leave their cars and wade through the high waters.
02:35For Lauderdale Pompano area.
02:37When it rains, it floods and vehicles get stuck everywhere.
02:41I always say advertise high water vehicle.
02:43That's what we build.
02:44We build high water vehicles because they can go for three, four feet of water.
02:48That's the business we're in.
02:49That's important here.
02:50As big as this is, these aren't really what we would call or consider a high water vehicle.
02:55We need something that can be able to go through the water without messing up the engine,
03:00without shutting it down and being able to mitigate a circumstance where there's down trees,
03:04Yeah.
03:05Guys on here have chainsaws and that type of thing, but it's tough for them to get out as
03:09well.
03:10So if we can show you around and maybe we'll talk about it and you can get a few ideas of
03:14some of the things that we like.
03:15Fire department, they're first on the scene.
03:17You get a lot of down trees, the high water.
03:19Everybody else is stuck, can't go anywhere.
03:21You're the fire department.
03:22You have to get there.
03:23You have to get there.
03:24So they either need to be able to clear these roads or at least climb over and keep going
03:27to see everything else.
03:28These are what we call the irons.
03:31Obviously, everybody knows an axe, what it does.
03:33Yeah.
03:34And then a halogen tool.
03:36The fork ends here.
03:37Yeah.
03:38And get into a door.
03:39Oh, yeah.
03:40And then he's going to hit.
03:41One, two, strike.
03:42And then you're going to start trying that way.
03:44You've got to be efficient.
03:45You should have everything with you, ready to go.
03:48Most trucks, when we build accessories on them, it's all internal and stored.
03:52This truck, everything's accessible right on the outside of it.
03:55Because in an emergency, they're tight on time.
03:57This here is our favorite.
03:58This is our trash line.
03:59Rapid deployment.
04:00Just pull it out.
04:01Call for water.
04:02Head right towards the fire.
04:03And this is the thing you use the most frequently.
04:05For this vehicle, this is 100% what we would use.
04:08For the vehicle you're building.
04:09If we could get one of these, it would be amazing.
04:11Okay.
04:12I absolutely love this project.
04:13This is the hurricane capital of the country.
04:15Imagine you wake up, two feet of water in the streets, and there's trees down everywhere.
04:20Everybody else is stuck, can't go anywhere.
04:22You're the fire department.
04:23You have to get there.
04:24We look forward to working with you.
04:25Look forward to it.
04:26Thank you for your service.
04:27Appreciate it.
04:28Can't wait to show you when we're done.
04:29Appreciate it.
04:30Absolutely.
04:32I'll see you guys.
04:33I always told you about those high water vehicles.
04:34Yeah, you did.
04:35I'm the first one who said that, and they always fault me on that stuff.
04:37Right?
04:54Hey, guys.
04:55Come on over.
04:56I'll show you something.
04:57I got a new project.
04:58Let me show you.
05:01So the Pompano Beach Fire Department came out to us.
05:03They want a truck that can handle, you know, heavy flooding, four, five, six feet of water,
05:08and you got trees down.
05:09So I want to build them something that, you know, four, five feet of water, no problem.
05:12I want them to want to drive it more than the fire truck.
05:15This is going to be an unusually tall build, even for us.
05:18That means a six to eight inch lift and 40 inch tires.
05:22We're going to add nerf steps for easy access, winches on both the front and back, a hose,
05:27a custom rack for the hand tools like the axe and the halogen they mentioned.
05:31Then install sirens and a light array that we've never done before.
05:35I want this to glow like a damn Christmas tree by the time we're done.
05:40First and foremost, let's lift it.
05:42At the end of the day when she's fully loaded,
05:44she's sitting just an inch higher in the back than the front.
05:47Okay.
05:48Let's get started.
05:49Let's do it.
05:58We get the lift kit done first and then we'll go with the nerf steps and bumpers and all that stuff.
06:02Typical off-the-shelf lift kit for a lot of my customers is going to be three to four inches.
06:06This thing we're hoping to go six to eight.
06:09Then we just have to do some playing around with the patrol arms to get the geometry right
06:13so that this can climb over a tree and not bottom out in the middle.
06:16Let's mount these up.
06:17Okay.
06:18I want other fire departments to see this thing and be like,
06:22But the challenge of this fire truck project is that it's not just a big fun truck.
06:26It has to function as an emergency vehicle.
06:28So we're going to have to be extra sure about everything we build on it.
06:34Aiden, you can let it down.
06:39What's up little sis?
06:53Hey.
06:54What you got going on here?
06:56It's leaving today.
06:57It's got to get clean and it's got to get some pipe doors.
06:59Want to hear something crazy?
07:00What?
07:01I sold a truck.
07:03It's literally the biggest celebrity we've ever done.
07:05You're going to have to give me a little bit more than that, man.
07:07We're pretty damn busy.
07:08Let me spell it out for you.
07:10Shaq?
07:11Shaq!
07:12Like Shaquille O'Neal?
07:13Shaquille O'Neal.
07:14I sold Shaquille O'Neal.
07:15No, you didn't.
07:16Yes, I did.
07:17What did you sell him?
07:18I sold him a custom truck.
07:20Jerry has been chasing Shaq down probably for about a year now.
07:23You guys haven't seen Shaquille O'Neal around here, have you?
07:25Jerry's been all over his social media pages, messaging, DM.
07:29Some like random person said, hey, he's in Miami.
07:32And like they drove down to Miami to go find him.
07:35We're looking for Shaquille O'Neal.
07:37You might know him as Big Diesel.
07:39Shaq Daddy.
07:40Star of the movie Blue Chips.
07:42I don't know, Jerry.
07:43Jerry's got a bucket list of these clients that he's made it his dream to reach and to
07:48get to buy a truck from us.
07:49And Shaq is absolutely at the top of the list.
07:52I've been talking months on social media.
07:54He showed up at Broward.
07:56Ash, I'm so excited.
07:58Wait, he came to the Broward store?
07:59Look at this.
08:00Ash, look.
08:02Oh, my God.
08:04He really is at the Broward store.
08:05That's really Shaq.
08:06Oh, my God.
08:08I'm so moved.
08:09So this is how this went down.
08:11Shaquille O'Neal.
08:12Out of nowhere.
08:13No courtesy call.
08:15No.
08:16He just showed up at our lot.
08:19I always see these trucks.
08:20I figured I couldn't fit one.
08:21I saw one in the ground.
08:22I don't think I could fit them.
08:23This is a huge deal for the company.
08:25And personally, for me, it's even bigger.
08:28Oh, don't break it.
08:29I own it.
08:30Can I have this part that you might do?
08:32Yeah, it's a clear coat.
08:34It allows when you wash it, it just comes right off.
08:37The guy I've been chasing for over a year.
08:40My white whale was there.
08:43Ready to go right now.
08:44My man.
08:47He couldn't wait to get his giant hands on one of our badass trucks.
08:52And you know your boy Jerry closed that deal.
08:55That is really cool.
08:56Biggest name ever.
08:57You sold Shaquille O'Neal a truck.
08:59I did it, Ash.
09:00Oh, my God.
09:01The biggest celebrity ever we just got.
09:03Joe's going to be, like, over the moon about it.
09:05I do have to have him do a few things in the truck.
09:07I'm sure.
09:08I'm sure he's going to be excited to do it anyway.
09:09That's awesome.
09:10Aw, thanks.
09:11Shaq.
09:12Shaq.
09:13I love it.
09:14Good for you.
09:15Bye, Jer.
09:26Did it.
09:27What'd you do?
09:28Joe, I actually closed the biggest celebrity we've ever done.
09:30Really?
09:31Shaq.
09:32No way.
09:33Dude, he's here in person.
09:34I didn't.
09:35I gotta get the rest of these details.
09:36It's insane, man.
09:37It was incredible.
09:39I didn't even really know what to say, to be honest with you.
09:41Me out of words.
09:42Yeah, that's something.
09:43What do you have in mind?
09:45He wants the 4x4 version of the juggernaut.
09:48Before we jump into the crazy details, mind if I grab my guys up here?
09:51Yeah, I'm in here.
09:52Hey, buddy.
09:53Can we grab Jesse, James, Gus?
09:55Come on up here for a minute.
09:57Come on down.
09:58Jerry's been chasing this, I'm gonna sell Shaq a truck for forever.
10:02And he totally delivered.
10:03And he does.
10:04You know, that's what makes Jerry, Jerry.
10:06That's why you put up with all those other nonsense.
10:07Because the rubber hits the pavement, he gets the job done.
10:10All right.
10:11So, Jerry, he sold a truck to Shaq.
10:14V Shaq.
10:15Yeah.
10:16What?
10:17All right.
10:18So, he's seen our juggernaut.
10:19So, we're gonna build, like, a four-wheel version of the juggernaut.
10:21But, emphasis on big room and, I mean...
10:24Obviously.
10:25It's gonna have to be huge.
10:26Whether he asks for it or not, tons of horsepower, right?
10:28Yeah.
10:29He's massive, man.
10:30Was he 7'4"?
10:317'2".
10:32Oh, jeez.
10:33So, I mean, right up top.
10:34A big man calls for a big truck.
10:36So, we'll start with the TRX and tailor it to fit.
10:38We'll do a massive front end with our signature bumper grill
10:41and add giant fenders, a modified fastback,
10:44four 40-inch tires, and a badass matte paint finish.
10:47We'll add power steps for easy in and out,
10:50and we'll figure out the best possible way to modify and expand the interior
10:54so that a man as big as Shaq can drive it,
10:56as well as us average-sized guys.
10:58To finish the job, we'll personalize the hell out of the cab
11:01with a rich burgundy leather interior
11:03and Shaq's custom-designed logos.
11:06It's called the Shaq-a-Trust.
11:07Yeah!
11:08Let's do it!
11:09Let's do it!
11:10Let's do it!
11:11Let's do it!
11:36Cam!
11:37James!
11:38Shaq's truck.
11:39All right, so what the guy wants, basically a juggernaut, right?
11:42But a four-wheel version of it.
11:43We're going to run on 40-inch tires.
11:44We may or may not re-gear it.
11:45We're going to do an exhaust to it.
11:46We're going to go with our big-boy fenders.
11:47We're going to go with the grill bumper.
11:49But the cabin's got to be huge.
11:50This guy's a monster.
11:51We've got to find a way to give you some room on the inside there.
11:53We're going to figure out something to make him fit in there.
11:55Oh, is this Shaq's truck?
11:56Yes, it is, Shaq.
11:57Is this Shaq's truck?
11:58Yes, it is, Shaq.
11:59It's a truck.
12:00It's a truck.
12:01Yes, it is, Shaq.
12:02Is this the one?
12:03Yes, it's the one, man.
12:04Oh, this is great.
12:05So what's the plan?
12:06We're going to make space for him.
12:07We're going to make longer tracks.
12:08I figure it's all up and the waist down.
12:10We'll make it further away from the steering wheel.
12:12You're right.
12:13John, I don't think you're realizing how big he actually is.
12:15I mean, he is really enormous.
12:17I mean, I'm just spitballing here, but what if you actually drop the floor?
12:20Sink the seat down?
12:21Yeah, right there.
12:22Drill it right over there, right over here.
12:24Get rid of that part.
12:25That part.
12:26That part.
12:27That part.
12:28Jerry, that's a computer there that controls all the airbag system, right?
12:33So what?
12:34So what?
12:35It's good.
12:36This is Shaq's truck.
12:37Do you agree it's a big deal, yeah?
12:38Yes.
12:39I don't want to try some first-time experimental stuff on his truck.
12:42I want to make it work, but I want to stay within the lanes of what we know and we've
12:45done a hundred times and it works.
12:46We'll find a way so the seat can slide back further and can still slide back up.
12:50You want him as much to drive it?
12:51Shaq to drive it.
12:52Jerry's been on this for about a year, right?
12:54I'm going to sell Shaq a truck.
12:55So I know Jerry's going to keep stuffing himself into this build with his custom nonsense,
13:01but I want to do something for Shaq that I know it's going to work.
13:04No issues.
13:05You have to understand, I'm scared if this guy doesn't fit in the car.
13:09That would be an unmitigated catastrophe for the company.
13:13Jerry, you sold the truck.
13:14Awesome.
13:15Let me do what I do.
13:25Jerry, I don't want to do some stuff for the very first time we've never done before,
13:30right?
13:31I don't think you understand what's involved with cutting the floor of a vehicle.
13:34You lose structural rigidity.
13:35We're going to be welding.
13:36It's all steel there.
13:37What if it rusts from the bottom?
13:38What if it's too close to the exhaust?
13:40What if we relocate one of these crash sensors?
13:42There's a lot of things you just want to mess with.
13:43I've seen you do it.
13:44I've seen you do it on the hellfire.
13:46Joe and Jerry's dynamic, when they're in sync and they're working together and they're
13:50on the same page, you have two creative minds.
13:53They come together and they come up with a beautiful truck and a happy customer at the
13:56end of the day.
13:57But when they have these moments, they're just completely disagreeing with one another.
14:02It can be fire and gasoline.
14:04Let's stick with what we know.
14:06I'll share you with you so we can work on the truck, right?
14:08We'll make sure it slides back.
14:09Holy...
14:10We'll come up with something, okay?
14:12I will find a way to bring some ease to the tension.
14:15This way we can turn out an amazing truck and we have a happy client.
14:18All right.
14:19Well, anyhow, so what we got to do, let's get started on doing the lift, right?
14:23Let's pull the front fingers off.
14:24Let's pull the front bumper off.
14:26Let's keep any sensors, any parking sensors, whatever or not.
14:29And we'll start fabricating the front, grill, bumper, and see where we're going to go from
14:32there.
14:33Let's get this project on the road, all right?
14:34Let's do it.
14:36I know Shaq wants a crazy look.
14:38He wants some details that make it unrecognizable as a Ram.
14:41So we're really going to have to redesign this whole thing from scratch.
14:45Clean her up.
14:47Yeah, all right.
14:48We've got a signature style of this massive front end, and I'm going to adapt that for
14:53this truck.
14:54Oh, there we go.
14:56Beautiful.
14:59Yeah, we can make that up with body work, Danny.
15:04Yeah, that's perfect.
15:05Just give it a nice taper.
15:06We made a little progress today.
15:08Hopefully tomorrow we can decide once and for all how to make room on the inside for Shaq.
15:13Tree climbing indeed.
15:14We make tall trucks all day long, but making one big enough to get over downed trees, you
15:34have to be really careful because the bigger your lift, the more likely you are to have
15:37a truck that will flip over.
15:40Is this truck social media ready is the question.
15:43I called up a tree guy, and he's got some trees that he ripped out of the ground.
15:47Threw them down in our front yard here, and we're going to go try it in real life.
15:50Can this thing go over a series of trees laid down without getting stuck or teeter totter or anything?
15:55The best way to find out is to try it.
15:57Come a little right.
15:59All right, we doing this?
16:02Yeah, man.
16:03Yeah, we're doing it.
16:07There you go.
16:08Here we go.
16:09Oh.
16:10Oh.
16:11Oh.
16:12Oh.
16:13Oh.
16:14Oh.
16:15Oh, it's a fender.
16:18You're good.
16:19That's a fender tap.
16:20I'm ready.
16:21Yep.
16:22I think we need more of a challenge, honestly.
16:27Right?
16:28All right, we're going for the stump this time.
16:29You ready?
16:30This is going to be the real test.
16:31There it is.
16:32We got it.
16:33Come on.
16:34Oh, no.
16:35You got this, Joe.
16:36We need more tears so too soon.
16:38Ah.
16:43There you go.
16:44Boom.
16:48What was that?
16:52Is that on the fender?
16:55We bit the fender there.
16:56And we're nowhere near the bump stop.
16:58Not really compressed.
17:00What I want to do is get adjustable arms in the front
17:04and push this axle forward.
17:05Yeah.
17:06We got tons of room out here.
17:07No danger there.
17:08Buy ourselves another two inches.
17:10OK.
17:11I'm a little tight in the front,
17:12so I want to give myself an extra inch or two of height.
17:15So we'll kick that front axle forward,
17:17give it another inch, and maybe add lockers.
17:19I'm confident we're going to give him a product
17:21that does what he said it's going to do.
17:23I'll give you guys a right back.
17:24Come on.
17:25Are you guys ready?
17:26Hold on.
17:29Whoa.
17:30Oh, no.
17:31Oh, my God.
17:33Oh, .
17:36Oh, .
17:37Jesus.
17:38Oh, my God.
17:40Oh, my God.
17:41Oh, Jesus.
17:42Holy .
17:43You guys all right?
17:44All right.
17:54We're building a truck for the fire department.
17:56So I got invited to go see how firemen train,
17:58to learn exactly what they do,
18:00and hopefully use it towards what we built for them.
18:03Frankie, how are you, man?
18:04Nice to meet you.
18:05Frankie, nice to see you.
18:06I can't wait to go on that train.
18:07As promised.
18:08Yeah.
18:09Right?
18:10All right, well, let's get started.
18:11Donnie here is in charge of our training.
18:12Yeah.
18:13Oh, my God.
18:14Keep moving.
18:15We're going to walk you through the steps,
18:16and you're going to walk out of here just like a champion.
18:17This is going to be your set of gear.
18:18Okay.
18:19Carry all those irons into your air pack.
18:20Yeah, it's not too heavy, right?
18:22Yeah.
18:23You're going to love it.
18:2460, 80 pounds by the time you get everything on there.
18:2560, 80 pounds?
18:26Yeah.
18:27Okay.
18:28There you go.
18:29All right.
18:30We're almost there.
18:31Grab the air pack.
18:32What the?
18:33Let me...
18:34Yeah, okay.
18:35Oh, boy.
18:36You know what?
18:37I got news for you, buddy.
18:38Oh, boy.
18:39Okay.
18:40Oh, boy.
18:41They want me to wear all this equipment.
18:43There's no way I could do something like that.
18:45There's like 70, 80, 100 pounds there.
18:47I'm just going to send Frankie.
18:48Let him do the whole show.
18:50Okay.
18:51You're going to get the full experience, Frankie.
18:52I want the full experience.
18:53And me and Pop are going to sit here arm in arm.
18:54Oh, I love that.
18:56All right.
18:57We're on.
18:59I was made for this game.
19:02Yeah.
19:03All right.
19:04So do I look it?
19:05Do I look the part?
19:06I like it.
19:07This is our roof prop.
19:08Okay.
19:09This is simulating that we're breaching into a roof for ventilation.
19:12Okay.
19:13Come on, man.
19:14You got to hit that thing.
19:15You got people inside.
19:16It's where they're waiting on you.
19:17Nice.
19:18Catch your breath as you're going.
19:19Cleansing breath.
19:20Yeah.
19:21Good news.
19:22Now we're going to simulate pulling holes.
19:23You're going to drag this set of weights down to that end.
19:26Can I do it?
19:27I don't know.
19:28You're breathing like you can't.
19:29Let me tell you something.
19:30We're about the breathing.
19:31All right.
19:32Go ahead.
19:33Let's ride this forward.
19:34Go.
19:35Come on, Frankie.
19:36Come on, Frankie.
19:37Come on, Frankie.
19:40Oh, boy.
19:41Yeah.
19:42Good job.
19:43But we're not done.
19:44Oh, God.
19:45We're not done.
19:46So now we're simulating that we have a high rise up there.
19:48This is going up.
19:49And you, my friend, are going to take our hose up, our high rise pack, go up there,
19:54put the fire out.
19:55I can barely walk.
19:56Let's go.
19:57Let's go.
19:58Let's go.
20:02You got like 60 pounds of gear on you.
20:05And now you got to plug this hose back and forth.
20:07Now we're talking, I don't know, 100 pounds.
20:09I'm trying to think in my head, how can we make this easier for them?
20:13Come on, Frankie.
20:14Let's go.
20:15Let's go.
20:16Let's go.
20:17Let's go.
20:18Let's go.
20:19Let's go.
20:20Let's go.
20:21Let's go.
20:22Let's go.
20:23Right for fun, baby.
20:24Right for fun.
20:25Yeah.
20:31Frank comes out, and it was just water coming down, coming down.
20:34Good job.
20:35Nice job.
20:36Thanks, guys.
20:37All that equipment he's carrying, that hose, I don't know what it weighed, but it looked
20:40like a couple hundred pounds.
20:42I realize how physically draining that is on them.
20:45Maybe there's a way in the future I could talk to Joe, and we could look out there.
20:48Maybe there's another option to build something a little differently.
20:52Makes it easier for them.
20:53What's with the hat?
20:54They gave it to me.
20:55Are you serious?
20:56I'm a big fart.
20:57My God.
20:58You did good.
20:59The research was good.
21:01Frank, you gotta take a shower.
21:02You really stink.
21:03What do you want?
21:04You see what they put me through?
21:05It's insane.
21:06I thought I was gonna do it.
21:18There's no way I could have done that.
21:20No way.
21:21Jeez.
21:22Hey.
21:23Looks like he got hit by a mag truck.
21:25What happened?
21:26Fire training.
21:27How was it?
21:28When we finished, right, Frank stunk.
21:31I mean, he was so...
21:32Well, he doesn't have to do anything.
21:33He was so smelly.
21:35The hose must have weighed 300 pounds.
21:36I carried this hose, like, wrapped it around, and I had to run with it.
21:41I looked like I was having a 30-foot anaconda on me.
21:44I'll tell you what.
21:45It's a lot of work.
21:46Any kind of special way they got the hose set up, or is it just like a quick release?
21:49It's...
21:50There's no quick release.
21:51It's like a roller.
21:52No.
21:53It's all manual.
21:54Hmm.
21:55Sounds like the biggest problem these guys face is moving this gigantic hose and
21:59have to lug it everywhere.
22:01Thinking, what if you don't have to move the hose at all?
22:04The whole point of the hose is to get the water to the fire.
22:07We'll find a way to get the water directly to the fire without having to even go inside
22:11the building or have to drag the hose with you.
22:13Thanks, guys.
22:14Great information.
22:15Frank, go home.
22:16Take a shower.
22:17Clean your mustache.
22:18My mustache was a big hit.
22:20That's a firefighter thing.
22:21The mustache.
22:22It's a huge firefighter thing.
22:23No one explains why.
22:24All right, so let's get done with what we actually gotta do.
22:36The seat sits on these two tracks, right?
22:38But that seat's gonna be adjustable for him?
22:40Yes.
22:41Shaquille O'Neal, I can't put into words how big this person is.
22:46Joe's so hung up that a normal person needs to drive that.
22:50I talked to Shaq.
22:51He told me he's the guy who's gonna be holding the wheel.
22:55I respect it.
22:56I mean, I respect what you're saying, but you didn't see the guy.
22:59There's all the room to get in.
23:00The power step comes down.
23:01You've got tons of...
23:02Hello.
23:03Hello.
23:04This is Tony.
23:05How are ya?
23:06Hey, guys. Good to see you.
23:07So, Tony's my friend.
23:08He's a professional volleyball player.
23:09This guy is huge, Ash.
23:10Where did you get hit?
23:11I've known him for a while.
23:12You guys played the seat?
23:13From the beach.
23:14No, yeah.
23:15I'm the...
23:16She's the defender.
23:17I'm the defender.
23:18I'm the blocker.
23:19The tension between Jerry and Joe usually does blow over pretty quickly.
23:23This hasn't really died down.
23:25So that's when I figured, okay, let's just put it to rest.
23:27So I called my buddy Anthony, who's really tall.
23:29Let's get the guy to come to the shop and sit down.
23:32Hey, you mind giving it a go?
23:34Absolutely.
23:35Let's see if I fit.
23:36All right.
23:37Yeah, the big fella's gonna need more room than that.
23:39A lot more room.
23:40Steering wheels on the lift.
23:41Wow.
23:42Oh, my God. Look at your knee, Tony.
23:43You're like at the steering wheel.
23:44If you had another six inches this way...
23:46Yeah.
23:47Yeah, the big fella's gonna need it.
23:49Now, jumping in and out of this thing, let's say the door is restricted to mud here.
23:52Is getting in and out with the door this tight a fan in the ass?
23:56Oh, it's gonna be tight.
23:57So what we're gonna do is we're gonna rework this thing so it's gonna open to a perfect 90.
24:00Well, yeah, the 90 would be good for it because his feet are a lot bigger than mine.
24:04He was gonna get hung up, I think.
24:05Yeah, a little clearance to come out.
24:07Yeah, so 90's a very good idea.
24:09I hate to admit this, but Jerry was right.
24:12So I've got to puzzle this off.
24:13I still don't want to cut a hole in the floor.
24:15I've got to find a way where it's still adjustable, but the outside limits of it are this guy's size.
24:21Hey, thanks a lot, man.
24:22Nice seeing you, bro.
24:23You see, they didn't think I could deliver, and here I am with my pal Tony.
24:26All the fun and games aside, why is that guy's number in Ashley's phone?
24:30What do you got?
24:31Oh, my God.
24:32Oh, my God.
24:33What is this?
24:34If it's in a box, it's not good.
24:35Hold on.
24:36Why do you see this thing?
24:37Oh, yeah.
24:38Let me set it up there.
24:39It's kind of heavy.
24:40This is the Blastmaster 5000.
24:55So you pull up to the scene, tailgate's down, grab the hose, one guy's hooking it up there,
25:00one guy runs out to the fire hydrant, hooks it up, fire hydrant's on, this thing's live.
25:05And now you can put on a fire with a fire truck.
25:08Right?
25:09Makes this a real deal.
25:10Yeah, that's awesome.
25:11This is a high-pressure water jet.
25:14We're going to try to reach five stories up in the air with this thing.
25:17It's just a water rocket.
25:19It was just doing your firefighting bidding on your behalf, you know?
25:24I don't see, like, a handle or some way to, like, manipulate this thing.
25:29I am so glad you asked that.
25:31This thing moves all by itself with...
25:34Oh, my God.
25:35Ta-da!
25:36The Manipulator 5000.
25:38Yeah.
25:39It's a joystick that you can, like, run it like a...
25:43So I'm thinking we mount this thing at the top of this rack at the very front.
25:47We're already planning to have a water hookup because they wanted that trash line, right?
25:50This is just an adjustment.
25:54We're going to have to cut the hole into this, try to mount it there for the time being,
26:00and then we can start routing our pipes.
26:02What?
26:03That pipe is going to lay around here.
26:05Where we need to blow this hole is somewhere in this general location here.
26:09Yeah.
26:10Let's do it!
26:11We're welding up the piping going to the back of this fire truck.
26:13Once you open a fire hydrant, it is a ton of pressure.
26:15So we need this to be overkill.
26:17We're going to use quarter-inch steel piping, and we're going to weld it all the way around.
26:21That way we don't have a pipe blow up.
26:23We're building this thing heavy-duty.
26:24We don't want this to just be a little gimmick.
26:26Oh, look at this little chimney you got going on here.
26:30Last thing you want is to be an emergency situation, and these pipes can't handle the pressure, and it blows up all over the place.
26:35We need to be tipped a bit more. The top is going.
26:38Once the piping is in place, we're going to find a home up top for the cannon.
26:45Now, will this thing rotate all together?
26:48Oh, yeah. It can do.
26:51It's got some move to spin.
26:58This can go right about here.
27:00We're on the home stretch of the fire truck.
27:02We're about to reveal it to these guys.
27:03We've just got the last-minute stuff as usual.
27:05We need a place for the axe.
27:06We need a place for the halogen.
27:08We need a place for the tools that you're going to use to open the fire hydrant.
27:11Aside from putting on all the hand tools, we've got a full 360 light array.
27:16How's the light bar coming, bro?
27:18Coming out great.
27:19I'm hoping these guys walk up this thing like that makes sense.
27:21That's where it belongs.
27:22We could actually use this thing.
27:24Ultimately, I just want to blow them away.
27:26You ready for this?
27:27Yeah, cut this thing on. Let me see.
27:28Oh, yeah.
27:29That looks great.
27:36You know, grab everybody in there and tell everybody to come out here, please.
27:45Come on.
27:46Come on.
27:47Come on.
27:48Come on.
27:49Come on.
27:50What do you think?
27:51Looks awesome.
27:52Fire rescue at your service.
28:05Nice, Joe.
28:07Good work.
28:08You listened.
28:09You like it?
28:10You listened to everything you said.
28:11She came out real pretty, didn't it?
28:12And she did.
28:14Over.
28:15Over at Chief Allen.
28:16Pops.
28:17Good job, buddy.
28:19First initial impression when I saw the Jeep was the height.
28:24Just the sheer size of it was impressive because one of the first things that we spoke about
28:37was having a high-water vehicle.
28:39We don't have one in Pompano.
28:40So we cranked this thing up to 10 inches.
28:42We went with 40-inch tires, right?
28:43Well, we know you got to get there in a hurry.
28:45So we dropped the control arms.
28:46We actually, you know, upgraded the springs, the shocks.
28:49But you can get this thing on the highway and do 80 miles an hour with one hand on the wheel
28:52and still climb over a 25-inch full round of a log.
28:56Wow.
28:57Move the intake up to the seam between the hood and the fender here.
29:00So it'll afford three, four feet of water without a problem.
29:03Awesome.
29:04I imagine the power's going to be out most of the time you're using this thing.
29:07Right.
29:08So we wanted to be able to see what you're doing.
29:09We loaded her up with LED lights and we had this whole 360 spot system in the back here
29:14so that with one switch you've got enough lighting around you.
29:17The light package looks awesome.
29:19Oh, yeah.
29:20Check this out.
29:21You see up top there?
29:22We added this water cannon.
29:23And that ties in when you hook up to the hydrant.
29:24Wow.
29:25Try and grab it.
29:26Give it a squeeze and go left and right.
29:27Oh, yeah.
29:28Wow.
29:29Amazing.
29:30That's incredible.
29:31Let's put this bad boy to test.
29:32Water!
29:33Water!
29:34Water!
29:35Water!
29:36Woo!
29:37Do you think you'd ever use it in a real life situation?
29:50Yes.
29:51Really?
29:52Absolutely.
29:53That's awesome.
29:54It's good to know it's actually usable.
29:55Yeah.
29:56I think you're onto something here.
29:57I was really nervous they wouldn't like the water cannon or find it to be useless or maybe
30:00a gimmick or something.
30:01They loved it.
30:02And that it held up to their standards and it's got, you know, the pressure to make it
30:05all the way up into the building.
30:06I was blown away.
30:07I absolutely loved it.
30:08Let's take this thing for a spin.
30:09All right.
30:10Let's hit it, guys.
30:11Sorry.
30:12Let's go, baby.
30:13I think you're going to be into this.
30:22You can make your own beach access with this.
30:24Yeah, all right.
30:25We're going to put you guys in the car.
30:26Hit it, Joe.
30:27There you go.
30:29Easy, babe.
30:30I'll tell you what, though.
30:31You can feel the torque on this thing.
30:32Oh, yeah.
30:33Oh, my God.
30:34That's just a good guy.
30:35Oh, my God.
30:37Good job.
30:38That works.
30:39That works.
30:40No, no, no, no.
30:41Pops really came through.
30:42The guys bought the truck.
30:43Loved the truck.
30:44That's amazing.
30:45And hopefully I'll be selling more to different fire departments.
30:47Whoo!
30:48If anything goes wrong, you've got these guys here.
30:50I know that.
30:51They're occupied already.
30:53Oh, my God.
30:54The build exceeded our expectations.
30:55Sounds kind of cliche, but true.
30:57Hopefully I'm going to be the one that gets to drive this the most.
30:59So I'm looking forward to it.
31:01It's been an awesome ride.
31:02It's everything I thought it would be and more.
31:04That a boy, Joe.
31:06Right here.
31:08Perfect.
31:09I love it so much, Joe.
31:19We're down to the wire on Shaq's build.
31:21All the fiberglass fabrication for the door panels are done.
31:23We're just about ready to paint.
31:25First, we've got to figure out a solution for the seating problem.
31:29It turns out, Jerry was right.
31:31The old guy came by.
31:32I get it.
31:33We're going to have to come up with some solution on the inside and move this chair back.
31:36But I think I've got a fix for it.
31:41Shaq's truck.
31:42We're looking at the seat.
31:43It's a fully adjustable electronic seat.
31:45I want to keep all the electronic goodies that are in there.
31:47I just want to take the base of how this thing mounts and move it back.
31:52We need a lot more room back here.
31:55So essentially, we want the front of the seat at least just to meet up to here so we don't
31:58have to move this guy.
32:00If we get to here, we can still keep this computer hidden.
32:03We don't have to move that.
32:04But we still need this little slope here.
32:06So we're going to have to bridge over it.
32:08Let's make it a metal that goes up, across, and back down.
32:13Quarter-inch steel.
32:14Real quick.
32:15Bolts on.
32:16Get back to here.
32:17So that this modification is ultimately a bolt-on and it's removable.
32:21Can we come up with something like that?
32:23Sure we can.
32:27A little more, a little more right there.
32:29Okay.
32:30We want that hole to end up there.
32:32We're going to do a bend right here.
32:33And then we'll do a return bend somewhere back over here.
32:37Okay.
32:38Yeah.
32:39All right.
32:43Yeah, that's it.
32:44So this bolt's where the seat used to bolt.
32:46We'll punch a hole here and make it be where the seat now bolts.
32:49All right, this is the hump we're trying to get around.
32:52Oh, yeah.
32:53Not too shabby.
32:54All right, let's get this thing in here.
32:56Ready?
32:57Come up there.
32:58Bam.
32:59Perfect.
33:00Nice!
33:01This is going to work just fine.
33:02Jump in there, Cam.
33:03Let's see where we're at.
33:04Oh, my God.
33:07Look at his feet.
33:08Try to touch the pedals.
33:09Sitting all the way, there's no way I can touch them.
33:12Perfect.
33:13Hey, I know you.
33:14Oh, here comes trouble.
33:16This is looking close.
33:17Cam, let this monster gentleman climb in there.
33:21Can you lift Shaq up into this?
33:23That's the question.
33:24All right, sit back all the way.
33:25Now, try to touch the gas pedal.
33:27And look, still fully adjustable.
33:29All right, so an average-sized fellow gets back in,
33:31he can still operate the vehicle.
33:32Holy crap.
33:33All right.
33:34Now, see, can you touch it?
33:36I can finally touch.
33:38Holy crap, this is actually going to work.
33:41Tons of room, right?
33:42I love it.
33:43Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
33:44Joe finally listened to me.
33:46I actually know a little something.
33:49I mean, I didn't get the hole I wanted in the ground for Shaq,
33:52but Joe put in a bracket.
33:54Sometimes Joe honestly needs a little push.
33:56That's all I did.
33:57I went up there and gently gave him a tap.
33:59Now, this is what makes us such a great team.
34:01I got his genius brain working at the end of the day,
34:04and this thing's going to be great.
34:05Ooh.
34:06Yeah, that guy's Jerry approved.
34:08Can't wait for Shaq to get this.
34:13Now that I've got Shaq's seating done,
34:15we're on the home stretch.
34:16We're getting close.
34:17We're almost done with this thing.
34:18My fiberglass guys can work on the wide-body fenders
34:20and the fast-back top,
34:21and we can get this thing into paint.
34:23Tomorrow, we're delivering this truck to the big man.
34:25He's a road trip, me and Jerry.
34:26I want him to drive this thing every day.
34:27I want him to see that and be like,
34:28yep, that's my daily driver.
34:43I finally get to present Shaquille O'Neal this super truck.
34:46I cannot wait for him to see this thing.
34:49Shaq!
34:50Bring it down over here.
34:51Oh, yeah.
34:52I see it.
34:53I hear it, too.
34:54You guys enjoy working again?
34:55Yes.
34:56Yeah.
34:57A lot of people will yes me to death in the company.
35:00Jerry certainly will not.
35:01I appreciate that, where he's actually telling me his input
35:03as to, like, why he came up with this terrible, terrible idea.
35:07See, that thing about when you're working with family, right?
35:08It's like Joe won't talk to a regular person like that, right?
35:09We build this beautiful red six-wheeler.
35:10The magic moment is when the shoes go on, right?
35:11Shoes are on.
35:12They are these skinny chrome wheels.
35:13I'm like, oh!
35:14Oh!
35:15Oh!
35:16Oh!
35:17Oh!
35:18Oh!
35:19Oh!
35:20I look at the ticket.
35:21Jerry Jr.
35:22I'm like, of course!
35:24I mean, he's screaming at the top of his lungs!
35:26Jerry, why do you always gotta be so creative?
35:30I don't think it's for creative, but I think it was something else.
35:33He was always game-
35:48The day that I finally get to meet Shaquille O'Neal
36:04and present this super truck that Joe Custom built for him
36:07is upon us.
36:11Shaq!
36:12What's up, Jerry?
36:14You're here, buddy.
36:15What's going on?
36:16Appreciate you coming.
36:17I'm beyond pumped.
36:19I cannot wait for him to see this thing.
36:21I think he's absolutely going to love it.
36:24And, of course, I'm the one who did it.
36:27We made this so luxurious, so custom for you, Shaq.
36:31Wait till you drive it.
36:34Bring it down over here.
36:37Okay, I see it.
36:38I hear it, too.
36:42Oh.
36:43Oh, that's nice right there.
37:00How are you, man?
37:01How are you doing?
37:02Good to see you.
37:03This is it?
37:04Yeah, man.
37:04This is the super truck.
37:06Wow, you really are super in real life.
37:08It's just amazing that there's a person that big.
37:11I feel like an average-sized human until I'm standing next to him,
37:15and then I just look like a fat kid.
37:17All right, so let me tell you guys a second.
37:18I live in Fort Lauderdale.
37:20Yeah?
37:20And I always see the 6x6, and I was like, you know what?
37:23I can't fit.
37:24I can't fit, and I can't fit.
37:25And then I came in and met him, and he said he could make me fit.
37:29So I appreciate this.
37:30Can I show you around this thing?
37:31Yes, of course.
37:32Let me show you the front.
37:35This grill bumper setup, the whole object of it is that it's gigantic,
37:39and you can run through anything.
37:40So what's the name?
37:42That's the name of my company, Apocalypse.
37:43Why?
37:44So you can get through the apocalypse.
37:45Do you know something I don't know?
37:47I think we all know what's coming.
37:49The zombies are coming?
37:52If they are, you want to be able to run through with this thing.
37:54No, this is nice.
37:56The material, what is that?
37:57So the coating on this thing is fiber-reinforced three-part coating.
38:00No scratches, none of that.
38:01You don't have to buff and wax this thing.
38:03Angry ex-girlfriend tries to get your car to check.
38:05You're good, buddy.
38:06Ain't gonna happen on this bad boy.
38:09So this is our super truck fender.
38:11This is a custom-made, hand-built fender that I designed.
38:14We sweep the bottom of it so that as you're driving over mud, water, whatnot,
38:17it's flinging it all away from the vehicle, not onto your windshield.
38:21Power steps on there make it easier to get in and out of the car.
38:23And in your case, you need every bit of door travel.
38:26So I actually extended the hinges so that we can get a full open on the door.
38:29It makes it easier to get in and out of the car.
38:31So how many horsepower?
38:35She's at 850 horsepower, supercharged, Hellcat V8, 6.2 liter with a blower on top of it.
38:43So you say you can do donuts in this thing?
38:45Oh, yeah.
38:45All right.
38:47Let's do it.
38:50Oh, damn, I got some power.
38:52Oh, yeah.
38:52Some juice.
38:55Oh.
38:59Time to eat donuts.
39:04Donuts.
39:05Donuts.
39:05Donuts.
39:05Donuts.
39:07Donuts.
39:08Donuts.
39:08He drives the truck like he stole it.
39:11He jumped in.
39:12He's driving.
39:12Pedal the metal.
39:13We're doing donuts right away.
39:20Who's going to warn us about that, Shaq?
39:23Oh, that's nice right here.
39:25Pretty beautiful in here, huh, Shaq?
39:26What do you think?
39:28You guys did a great job.
39:29I appreciate it.
39:30Thank you, man.
39:31How does it fit, too?
39:33Oh, it fits perfect.
39:33You guys did a great job moving the seat back.
39:35You know, I like, so I travel out on the road.
39:39Yeah.
39:40And I just like cruising.
39:41So, you know, when I cruise, I like to have my legs.
39:44I like to have my legs straight out.
39:46Right on.
39:47You know what?
39:49I may get another one.
39:50Really?
39:50Whoa.
39:51Seriously, I may get another one.
39:53You tell me what you want on it.
39:54I'm happy to build it any way you like.
39:55Did you hear what he said?
39:57I basically sold two cars this half.
39:58You did.
39:59Hey, this guy?
40:01He's already got the sale.
40:02No, he's good.
40:03This is a huge win for Apocalypse.
40:06It puts us in a different stratosphere now.
40:10I mean, this showcases my talent.
40:12So, I'm excited.
40:13I made it happen.
40:14I got the big man, the big truck.
40:17It's a great win.
40:18Big time.
40:20Come on in.
40:21Come on in.
40:21Wow.
40:22Come on in.
40:23Celebration.
40:23Celebration.
40:24I appreciate you guys.
40:38After all the changes this year, what is the business doing?
40:40The business is, you know, doing phenomenally.
40:43Everything is just firing on all cylinders.
40:46So, you know, in my mind, it's kind of like, let's take a step back and, like, let it roll.
40:51Or we can immediately duplicate what we just did while it's still fresh and double the speed.
40:57And that's that.
40:58And that's why we will never have time to sit back and think and relax.
41:03And where do we build the next shop?
41:05I'd love to do California.
41:07I'd love to do California.
41:09Who from the family would go and help you run out?
41:12None of them.
41:13Like, have to win there.
41:15Yeah.
41:16I mean, California is just as far geographically as I can get from here.
41:20Oh, no.
41:23He's hiding.
41:23Kidding.
41:24He's hiding.
41:24Yeah.
41:24He's hiding.
41:25There you go.
41:25Oh, no, what?
41:26No, no.
41:27You'd be hiding.
41:27There you go.
41:31He's hiding.
41:31He's hiding.
41:33Ain't hiding.
