00:00Amex is coming out with its richest card yet.
00:02Fortune was granted an exclusive interview with the CEO of Amex, Steve Squirey,
00:07and so I came in and talked to the CEO and he gave me a preview of what was in the card.
00:12The card features a lot of new perks, including new streaming perks, which were there before,
00:17but also Oura Ring perks for the purchase of Oura Ring.
00:21One of the things that they've really targeted is this whole restaurant pursuit.
00:26They bought a reservation company called Resi that enables the card members to get into these
00:31hard to get into restaurants. Resi sets aside tables and inventory for the platinum customers
00:38and other card customers of American Express as well and puts you at the top of the waiting list.
00:43And also on the platinum card, there's now this $400 credit toward meals at these restaurants.
00:49The big edge that Amex has really opened up here is the acceptance and the popularity
00:55they have among the very younger generations. It's going to be the richest card that they've
01:00ever put out and the richest card on the market in terms of the benefits. It ramps them up from
01:05$1,500 a year to $3,500 a year in terms of you use it on the average amount approximately.
01:12It could be a lot more if you really double down on the benefits.
