Anurag Thakur also alleged that Rahul Gandhi's repeated accusations against the Election Commission reflected the Congress party's lack of faith in Indian democracy. According to Thakur, whenever the Election Commission asked them to verify the claims they themselves had made, they backed out and avoided accountability. He added that when asked to file an affidavit, they withdrew. Thakur stated that making false and unfounded allegations had become a habit for Rahul Gandhi.
