00:22:32walking across the desert
00:22:33was easy for him
00:22:34Ah! Swimming across the ocean!
00:22:37That's another story.
00:22:39Even though he is called a ship of the desert,
00:22:42he only does the camel paddle.
00:22:45Oh, and another thing.
00:22:46He also carried back my yummy Egyptian lunch
00:22:49in this basket.
00:22:52Mm-hmm.
00:22:52I will eat it right after I tell you how I got it.
00:22:57I went to Egypt to see my friend Ahmed.
00:23:01He lives in this big city called Cairo.
00:23:04We left Cairo to visit his cousins
00:23:08who grow vegetables on a farm.
00:23:11That's Ahmed.
00:23:13His father took us on the minibus.
00:23:15Outside Cairo, everything was greener.
00:23:19Except for a donkey.
00:23:20He was browner.
00:23:26At the farm, his cousins Mohammed and Zinab
00:23:29were happy to see him.
00:23:32Right away, they did things
00:23:34you cannot do in a major city,
00:23:36like play tag in a bean field.
00:23:40Then they planted a lot of seeds in the ground
00:23:43that could grow into a million fava beans.
00:23:46Try this in a parking lot.
00:23:49In Egypt, all fruit and vegetables
00:23:51are grown in the country.
00:23:52Then they washed the dirt off
00:24:04and kneaded dough for Aish.
00:24:06That's what they call bread.
00:24:08And Zinab and her mommy, Karima,
00:24:10baked the Aish,
00:24:11and it was finger-lickin' good.
00:24:14And when we helped milk a goat,
00:24:18we all got a drink of goat's milk.
00:24:23Creamy!
00:24:24Mmm, delicious!
00:24:29Then guess what?
00:24:30More food!
00:24:31We took bread with our fingers
00:24:35and dipped it into the food
00:24:37and ate it.
00:24:38And no dishes to wash.
00:24:40Pretty smart, huh?
00:24:41Whatever we did,
00:24:46there was always food.
00:24:48Nice place.
00:24:53And when it was time
00:24:54to stop eating and leave,
00:24:55guess what they gave us
00:24:56as a goodbye present?
00:24:58Food!
00:24:58Including a basket of goodies
00:25:13for me to eat on Sesame Street.
00:25:15My lunch!
00:25:24The ducks got off in Canada.
00:25:28And that is how
00:25:30I got my lunch from Egypt.
00:25:32Time to eat!
00:25:34Oh, I am so hungry.
00:25:36Famished, even.
00:25:37Ready to devour
00:25:38a big piece of tasty Aish
00:25:41and a swig of creamy goat's milk, too.
00:25:44Ah, ah, ah.

00:51:34We sat at a round table with the food in the middle,
00:51:38so the whole family could share in it.
00:51:41As the youngest, I poured tea for everybody.
00:51:45My grandma, my grandpa, my father, my mother,
00:51:53my uncles and aunts.
00:51:55Actually, I wasn't the youngest.
00:52:03But babies can't pour tea.
00:52:06Grandma and grandpa took the food first
00:52:09because they are the oldest.
00:52:12Everyone else waited until they started to eat.
00:52:15Then everyone ate.
00:52:18The whole family.
00:52:20Everyone used chopsticks.
00:52:24Except for my younger brother.
00:52:27But I'm teaching him how.
00:52:32He's learning.
00:52:36Something he can teach the baby.
00:52:38We wouldn't be able to eat long noodles.
00:52:45We always eat them because they mean a long life.
00:52:51They worked for my grandmother.
00:52:54She is 80.
00:52:55And we finished with orange slices,
00:53:00which means a sweet life.
00:53:02And that's what our whole family did
00:53:08for my grandma's 80th birthday.
00:53:11I poured the tea.
00:53:14And the food was delicious.
